We had an incredible experience with Volvo Cars Carlsbad - they are super professional, transparent, and informative throughout the process. Our salesman Shahid Mauladad was absolutely fantastic and a complete pleasure to work with - he answered a million questions from us with total patience and has supported every step of the way. He is definitely one of the reasons we decided to purchase with Volvo Carlsbad. In addition, we had great experiences with other members of the Volvo Carlsbad team including Lance, Steve, and Johnson. Overall a super positive experience and would highly recommend them to anyone looking at Volvo.

Great service... until you sign on the dotted line. Then, you're left to figure out why your $60k vehicle is making a strange noise since the sales rep couldn't be bothered. I'll always buy Volvo's, because the safety of my teenage driver is priceless and Volvo international reordered and delivered a brand new vehicle to my door. I should not have driven 3 hours for this car and expected any kind of customer service after I was "out of their hair." However, they were the only dealer in the state with the exact specs I wanted. Do yourself a favor and go to Volvo San Diego... Tucson... or Phoenix.... but definitely, buy the Volvo and spring for the polestar.

The GM is a poor display of a manager and lacks professionalism as well as the neccessary communication skills to do his job at a satisfactory level.My experience was a salesman did not present all the accompanying service or amenities options to me upon obtaining my vehicle. This is turn cost me additional money at the conclusion of my lease via the inspection process.Do not go to this dealership. Go to the San Diego location.

I don t know how it happened, but I somehow found the exact car I was looking for on a whim while coming to get my car evaluated. The entire team helped me through a trade in and sale in less than 3 hours. I don t think I need to say much more than that! These people are true professionals who offered me top dollar on my trade, and a great deal on a new all electric 2023 C40 Recharge. I even laughed and had a good time with the sales and finance department throughout the process. This is my third Volvo I ve purchased in 9 months, all from different dealers as I ve been moving frequently. This is the best experience yet! Thank you Carlsbad Volvo, Lance and the entire team.Also can t forget Rob. He s probably one of the most badass salesman that s ever existed in the history of Volvo. I ll be back for my next Volvo and my next and my next.

We went last Sunday. Seriously looking to buy a car. Some guy that we never knew his name, or asked ours, took us on a test drive and gave us a scrapbook to write our names and emails. We never got back from him. He stank of alcohol, blatantly said the V60 wasn t available in the US, and never sent the numbers for a S60 Recharge we will buy. We re transacting with another dealer.

These guys have been great to our family. We bought a 2016 XC90 from them certified preowned back in 2019 with 40K miles on it. We financed it over 36 months and Johnson was great and got us in our new vehicle with a great rate without delay. My one regret was not pulling the trigger on the extended warranty. Being our first luxury vehicle, we ve been shocked at the cost of repair when things do go wrong, but the service guys have gotten us in quickly and taken really good care of us. Alan runs a great team and Albert and Frank have always been quick to call with status updates while our car has been in the shop for repairs. They took great care of us on an AC repair that required a couple trips in due to multiple part failures and were empathetic with our frustration on it not getting resolved fully the first time around. They wash the car after each service and make sure you leave completely satisfied. Good team here at Volvo Carlsbad!

I recently purchased a used Volvo certified 2022 XC60 from Volvo Cars Carlsbad sight unseen on the internet. By the description and pictures on Carfax, it was the car I wanted. The car was offered at a reasonable price and was optioned perfectly with the Polestar Engineered package and Extended Range equipment which are not exactly common. It was a bit nerve-wracking to think of buying a car out of state that I've never seen from people I've never met, but Michael Page and Steve Campbell at the dealership were excellent to work with. They made the deal happen as quickly as it can with 1,200 miles between us with no pressure or typical aweful car sales techniques. I put my faith in the Volvo used certification, and that was a sound decision. The car was as immaculate as a 16K mile car can be and exactly as described. Michael also took a number of additional pictures for me at my request. For a reasonable cost, they even handled the transportation to my home. The vehicle is fantastic in every way and the unconventional buying experience was refreshing. I've worked many new and used vehicle deals in my life and this was a top three experience for sure. It seemed like a gamble at the start. But in the end it paid off. Thank you Michael and Steve and the whole Volvo Cars Carlsbad team! Keep up the good work.

I just wanted to check in really quick to give my appreciation for the entire process at Volvo Carlsbad. I am somebody that goes through used car purchases fairly regularly, definitely more than the average person. Everybody at Volvo was great. Michael Page was a great front line salesman that was very calm and relaxed and did not give off even the slightest hint of a "slimy" or "aggressive" salesman. I cannot remember the finance managers name, however once the agreement was made, I was out of the door in, I believe, less than 30 minutes (that really speaks volume when finalizing a deal, you know that they give you priority). He was very professional with his paperwork and you can tell he knows his business. They were not pushy by any means and they did not include 101 different hidden values that made things difficult. It was extremely easy to get to a position where we were both very satisfied. That is how it should always go. However, maybe because of my personal semi-frequent car purchasing experience, I can easily tell who are the good sellers in the game. Again, thank you Carlsbad Volvo. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and I will absolutely recommend your department for anybody looking for a vehicle. I am sure I will be back one day in the future! Maybe the next vehicle will be that fully electric Volvo.

My buying experience is great with Michael Page at Volvo Carlsbad. He is very knowledgeable about Volvo cars in general which is a great thing to start with. I ve been looking around for 3row suv for a while and I ve been to other luxury brands for test drive. Some salesman there are too busy making money they can t even answer basic questions (like how many gear in transmission) about their car. The experience here is different. Even with car shortage nowadays, they don t do markup to take advantage. Scandinavian Interior design is also to my taste. People are calm and helpful here, they don t rush you to decide but they are pretty efficient and pushing themself to get everything done quickly. I m happy with my first Volvo car so far!

We had a wonderful experience buying a used XC90 at Volvo Carlsbad. Both Steve, the GM, and Shahid, the salesman, went above and beyond, even delivering our car (with a full tank!) up to Los Angeles when a repair was needed. The car was in beautiful condition and they took every step to be sure no detail was overlooked and we were satisfied. They are truly professionals, which is surprisingly hard to find when looking at used inventory.

I found the perfect used Volvo at the Carlsbad Dealership. We came in late on a Sunday. Rob assisted us with a test drive and really made the whole experience so easy. Car shopping is my least favorite but Rob made it easy and painless. He stayed late to make it happen and was kind enough to make sure we got the car detailed later when it was convenient for us. He was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend him and Volvo to anyone. The car I purchased is beautiful and in great condition. We were overall very satisfied with our whole car buying experience.

Honestly one of the most positive car buying experiences. I was shopping around for a pretty specific model and trim when I found a CPO at this dealership. I spoke with the sales associate, who was genuine in their communication and also respectful of my time. When I shopped around a bit more I came down on the CPO they had in stock, and when the sales associate wasn't available the day I could come in, I worked with the GM to secure and structure a deal to my liking. The process was straight forward with their financing specialist, and the dealership add-ons were reasonable and provided additional peace of mind. They worked to make the most of my time driving down from LA so I didn't have to spend hours finalizing the deal. The GM kept his word on all deal points, and followed up to make sure all was satisfied in the end.Remarkable customer service. While I would have imagined myself as "just moving a unit" kind of sale, they really took time to make me feel like a proud new owner of a Volvo product. Not to mention that they even sat with me after the sale to make sure to help set up the car and walk me through the new features :-)End to end satisfaction guaranteed.

I had an excellent experience buying a new SUV at Volvo Carlsbad!! I worked with Michael as my salesman and Lance as Sales Manager and both were perfectly competent, efficient, knowledgeable and went above and beyond. Came here to shop for a vehicle since our lease was due. Couldn't have been luckier to get such a professional salesperson like Alexandra Cloney. She was simply amazing to work with and the reason we went with another Volvo. We are very happy with our purchase and look forward to the next 3 years with our new S60 R Design. The new model is such a great looking car and a blast to drive! Ask for Alex next time you're shopping for a new car!

Long story short, I brought my car in here for repair for rat damage, it took them 5 weeks of constant broken promises, expenses for countless rental cars out of my own pocket, and not a cent of ownership or personal responsibility on their part If you want to waste thousands of dollars and weeks of your time take your car here and work with Frank.More details:I had damage to my car from rats moving in and eating coolant lines, the insulation in the hood liner, and electrical lines. Frank said they would get right on it but they were short staffed so it might be a few days. After a few followups to see where things were Frank said they were working on my car. I d been traveling, so needing a rental car wasn t that big of a deal at the time. 2 weeks in and there was still zero explanation about what was going on, just that they were working on it. I began inquiring about loaners, which Frank said they d take care of for me when one got back.More lies and broken promises later I was finally informed what needed replacing on the car and contacted my insurance company who quickly authorized the repairs.Those repairs took an additional 10 days.I finally showed up to get my car back having never received any rental help or loaner vehicle despite Franks many promises that I would have one.When checking out, I asked if there was anything they could do for my pain and suffering of their horrible customer service. Frank said there was nothing he could do. I d received an email just recently from Volvo for 10% off service, and he wasn t even willing to offer me that. How could the customer service rep not know about a promotion they were running; or be willing to take an ounce of responsibility for failing to meet the expectations he himself set?On top of that they didn t even fix all the problems. When I attempted to contact them about it they made me wait a month before bringing it back in and then had the nerve to tell me I needed to pay $210 for them to diagnose the problem. I know the problem, it was taking my car here in the first place.Had Frank said, We re slammed and I can t get to this for a few weeks I would have understood and taken the appropriate steps to find an alternative. But he didn t, he continually lied to me having no intention to do anything but to waste my time and money.

Made the honest mistake of charging my Polestar here. The machine took my credit card and there was no reason to think it wasn t available for public use. When I came to pick the car up there was a note on my car saying it was a private charger (it was a photocopy so clearly not the first time someone has made this mistake) and I apologized. My issue is that the employee who came out to yell at me was mean and rude. For zero reason. I immediately apologized and he kept repeating you're lucky I didn t have your car towed. I was about to block you in. No reason for that. Also, put up a damn sign!

Allen & Alberto are so helpful! I ve had my XC90 serviced here a couple times and I greatly appreciate their friendliness, quick feedback on options for service and work on the vehicle. Getting our car serviced is never fun but the guys here have been 5 stars every time!

Very poor experience here.Our Volvo XC-40 recharge had a "propulsion system service" warning come on. Scheduled an appointment with this Carlsbad Volvo dealer. Day before appointment they call, tell me their technician is out sick. No problem, I schedule a new service appointment for 1 week later.Day of new service appointment I drive 40 minutes to the Volvo dealer. Arrive to be told that the technician was out sick, again. Their service employee tells me he had called me. There is no missed call or message on my phone.Ask to speak with the manager. Service Manager apologizes but is very dismissive of the issue. Claiming that they only have one person certified and "What do you think we should do about it?"We engage in a back and forth where the attitude of the manager is essentially that there is nothing that can be done "People call out sick." And that electric vehicles are new so they only have one technician and, something, something about Covid.This is a $60,000 vehicle. Volvo needs to equip their certified dealerships with the appropriate level of staff to service electric vehicles. The Carlsbad location in particular needs to manage customer expectations, apply budget to hire and certify more technicians to service the vehicles that we are paying premiums for.In addition, approach the issue from the customer's perspective, don't call me day-of the appointment after the appointment time to tell me the vehicle can't be serviced and then argue and ask me, the customer, how you should run your business.Now I have to drive around with a "propulsion system warning" not knowing if the vehicle is going to malfunction on a freeway, because this local dealership and Volvo at large are happy to market and sell you a vehicle of the future but don't seem interested in the appropriate investments to maintain those vehicles.Unacceptable. Do not come here.

The GM here is extremely rude. He doesn t even attempt to have any customer service skills. I realize the industry has changed dramatically but there is no reason not to be kind to customers walking in ready to spend thousands of dollars on something. In addition we called this dealership with an EXACT vin number for a car we wanted to see, they said yes come see it today. We drove 45 min in the rain with our two young children to get there and be shown a different car. We pressed to see the one we requested and they said oh sorry the general manager has it at his house and he lives too far away. We went the next day and there was absolutely no remorse from the GM, just yah things happen . The GM proceeded to tell us he got the charger from the car we wanted stolen from HIS house so the dealership is in the hole now since they have to pay for a new charger. Overall just avoid this place if you don t want to deal with additionally rudeness during a process that is already stressful now days. We ended up going to the San Diego Volvo and our experience was amazing there.

I just bought a used vehicle at Volvo cars Carlsbad. With such a high demand for used vehicles, I was very pleasantly surprised to get such a good price on the vehicle I purchased! There was no pressure from the salesperson, Shahid, or the manager, Lance. Additionally, the finance person, Johnson, was very quick and efficient to get me in and out! My experience was seamless from start to finish. I received great support from the sales representative the moment I called the dealership to clarify all questions I had (emphasis added to a 1-hour call to understand all the add ons offered to personalize a vehicle). Communication was also effective throughout the process, the sales representative was always willing to clarify further questions I had about the purchase vs lease decision, and no exception was noted from the finance department. Highly recommended!

Returned my lemon xc40 there today. And upon asking if there was somewhere in particular I should park it (pending inspection) the service manager was just as rude and unhelpful as he was during all the repairs we needed. I wasn t going to review them as Volvo USA did agree it s a lemon and organized a buyback - but someone needs to point out to the Volvo dealership staff that treating customers politely and with respect is important - I could have left thinking positive things about Volvo but instead I ll tell anyone and everyone of my awful experiences at both Carlsbad and Escondido.

We had a great experience at this dealership, which is huge considering we have dealt with some real doozies in the past. Volvo Carlsbad made it an easy process...in fact, we enjoyed our time here and felt we were treated very well. Alexis was our gal. She was such a pleasure to work with. No pressure, knowledgeable, got us an amazing deal, and was all around very easy to talk to and to work with. Ross and Michael were great, too! We were very impressed and are happy that our "we're just looking" turned into getting a great deal on our new car! Definitely recommend this place to anyone in the market for a new car.

I had a hit and run, and called to speak to someone at Volvo Cars Carlsbad about the damages/repairs. Rob, who answered the phone, was so unprofessional. He did not allow me to explain the reason for my call, as well as, spoke to me with disrespect. I will take my business somewhere else!

Carlsbad Volvo was a 5 star experience all the way. I called on Sunday to see if they had any small hybrid SUVs in stock to test drive and they had 1, which was shocking in and of itself. When I arrived, I was introduced to Michael, who took me on the test drive and gave me a lot of information on the car. I had a lot of questions as I ve never had a hybrid before but he answered them before I had even asked most of them. I wasn t planning on buying a car that day but they gave me a price I was happy with PLUS they actually had a car I could take home that day (a rarity in this post Covid world) so I wound up starting the day in a 2013 Altima and ending it with a 2023 Volvo XC60 hybrid plug in parked in my garage. Michael even found me a Costco discount AND a discount through my employer that I wouldn t have even known to ask for. Since then I ve stopped in twice with a couple questions specific to the car itself since it has a lot of technology I wasn t familiar with coming from an older model car and everyone there has been so nice and helpful, making sure I understand and am happy with my purchase. Carlsbad Volvo is phenomenal and I m so glad I ve become a customer. Thanks, Michael and everyone else involved! You re awesome!
