Purchasing a new vehicle was not in my immediate plans but due to an unfortunate accident I needed to. I purchased my first truck from Toyota Carlsbad and it was a great experience, so I was hoping this experience would be the same. Marvin and Tracy did not disappoint, they were wonderful! I love my tundra! So if you re in the market for a new vehicle definitely Check them out!!

Special thanks to Corinna Hyatt for handling my case! This was my first time receiving service with Toyota Carlsbad and Corinna walked me through the entire process, answering all of my questions, detailing all expectations, and accommodating all of my needs. She was especially courteous, flexible, and caring.The Toyota Carlsbad team did an excellent job with the repairs, meeting projected deadlines and fixing the problem entirely. My recent purchase of a 2024 Toyota Prius LE from Toyota Carlsbad on December 13th, 2023, left much to be desired. The initial excitement of acquiring a new vehicle was dampened by the dealership's handling of the entire process.Upon purchase, I discovered that a hefty $2,000 charge for ceramic tint was non-negotiable, a price tag significantly higher than what local tint shops offer. I requested its removal, only to be told that it was a dealer adjustment due to high demand for the vehicle. Despite my disappointment with the absurd tint cost, I proceeded with the purchase, hoping for a positive overall experience.Unfortunately, the quality of the tint installation fell far below acceptable standards. Four out of five windows displayed issues ranging from bubbles and debris trapped under the tint to improper fitting that allowed light to shine through the corners. The lack of attention to detail during the dealership's vehicle inspection, compounded by the poor lighting at the time of pickup, only exacerbated the problem.The subsequent attempt to address this issue with Toyota Carlsbad proved to be an ordeal. I spent hours on the phone with five different individuals, encountering a frustrating runaround because they failed to properly document the vendor responsible for the tint installation. This oversight has now inconvenienced me with the need for a redo.All these complications stem from the dealership's insistence on a $2,000 markup for tint, an unnecessary charge that could have been avoided by either selling the vehicle without tint or ensuring that the included tint was properly installed the first time.To add to the disappointment, I received only one key for the vehicle, with an explanation that obtaining the second fob could take weeks to months due to a chip shortage. This explanation raises questions, as a family member who purchased a Toyota from a different dealership in San Diego County days earlier received two keys with fobs. The inconsistency in the explanations provided is perplexing and adds to my frustration.The overall experience has left me questioning the integrity and customer service of Toyota Carlsbad.Attached are two pictures of how they left my rear doors panels after tinting, for reference of lack of attention to detail.

This was a 3 star review until they said the same nonsense in response to my experience.Vanessa just repeated the same lies that the sales manager was spouting. If what she said was true than how did I manage to find a car without that junk?I am buying a car I get to decide what is important and what isn't.Argued with me about extras that I didn't want on my new vehicle, so I found a dealership that did have the model I wanted without usless extras.*I shared my experience as requested and they showed me that I should always take my business elsewhere.

Purchased my new 2024 RAV4 hybrid XLE from Duff. He was the absolute best to work with, very honest and straightforward and gave us a great deal.Since we were without a vehicle, he helped us get everything done through email and delivered the car to our home. Best buying experience ever! I cannot recommend Duff enough, if you need a new vehicle at a great price and a stress free buying experience , Duff is your man!

A little late in writing this review, but I just had to make sure I give credit where credit is due. I bought my first new car in January and I was very nervous about the whole experience, however Yajaira Nu�ez really made the whole experience super easy for me. I brought my dad and brother along and she made sure that all of us were well taken care and I did not feel pressured at all. Over all a great experience every time I come into this dealership from all service members and if you are in the market for a new car make sure to stop by and ask for Yajaira!!

Duff Joy is the MAN!!!! He is knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. This was the most pleasant, smooth, and honest car transaction I have ever experienced. I set an appointment, explored all of my options, and was in and out in 2 hours. In fact, everyone at this Toyota dealership was helpful and worked together to provide a top notch experience on 6/17/23.

It's been a while since I bought a new car. About 10 years or so. I have to say I had an amazing experience buying my car. I got the one I liked and was looking for, nothing less. Juan Rodriguez, my salesman, was sent from up above. No pushed sales, no stress, no deep search for a car. I told him what I wanted, and he took me straight to it and met my needs as far as monthly payments and financing. I was in and out within 2 hours and walked out of Carlsbad toyota feeling like I won the lotto. I recommend Carlsbad toyota to anyone who wants to experience a professional, classy treatment.

My entire car buying experience at Toyota Carlsbad was excellent. Hamid is a great salesman to work with, very helpful, and personable.Hugo from the finance department was also great and made sure I was clear and understood everything throughout the process.I went in with a trade in and was out of the door with a new vehicle in just under 4 hours. If you already have an idea of what you have and what it is that you want, these guys can make the experience a breeze.Thanks Hamid and Hugo, and thanks Toyota Carlsbad!

This review concerns our family and three vehicles serviced and purchased at Carlsbad Toyota for the past six years. We did not receive similar or fair pricing on new purchases compared with friends at the same dealer. Difficulty when ordering new vehicles led us to switch to Toyota El Cajon. Consistently over-quoted with attempts to excessively have us spend on vehicles under warranty. We only take new Toyotas to this dealer for covered warranty service that do not require any payments or new quotes.

Buying a car has never been a good experience for me until now. I came here just to look & Jesse Chavez showed me everything I wanted to look at. He gave me realistic numbers & his honest opinion. I never felt rushed or like I was wasting his time since I wasn t planning on buying anything at that moment. I felt so comfortable with all the info he gave me that I ended up leaving the lot with my new car! I am beyond happy with my purchase & the whole process. The entire team was amazing & made me feel so good about it. Tracey & Dillon were so helpful & welcoming as well! I honestly can t believe what a great experience this was & I can t say enough how much I LOVE my car!!!

I bought a used car from here and the experience has been an absolute nightmare. First, they sent the wrong car to the bank and I had to clean up after them so not sure how that happens but ok mistakes happen. Then I notice my hybrid is only getting half the mileage advertised and they basically gaslit me saying it s normal even though I knew something was wrong. Right after my tire pressure light came on so that was what was wrong. I take it in and have it serviced, and two hours after I picked it up the light comes back on so I come back for a second time. After picking it up I get a text from them saying they think my tire has a leak and to bring it back in for a third time. I do and they say nothing is wrong. The next day they have the nerve to text me they left something in my car and ask ME to come in. I say absolutely not but you can come get it. They send some guys who apparently can t read addresses and are going around my neighbors houses. One of them wasn t home and saw some random men walking around their property and called the cops because they thought they were trying to break in. So then I had to deal with that. And now it s been two months since I bought the car and called the DMV to ask where my plates are since 8 weeks is the max period. They tell me the dealership hasn t even started the transfer into my name. This completely and totally screws me over because I m moving and can t get residential parking until the registration is complete. So now I have to move my car every two hours every single day because of their mess up. This place is a circus.

Spoke with Lou Maldonado, Fleet & Internet Manager, back and forth for over a week about a RAV4. Told him my availability to come in and make a purchase. He confirmed the day prior it was available, and told me he would set it aside. I email back immediately to confirm the OTD price and minutes later he replies with "the car has been marked as sold". Attempted to get in contact with the general manager, and I couldn't even get through the phone line to a receptionist. Terrible customer experience and lack of transparency. If you enjoy playing games and wasting your time - this is the place to do it.

I had a great experience purchasing a 2022 GR Supra 3.0 Premium here recently. Big shout out to Steven and Hugo for having everything prepared prior to my arrival and for making it easy to get a trade-in and contract finalized. It was the fastest dealership purchase I've ever been through. No negotiation needed and I'm happy with purchasing at MSRP.I had originally put a deposit around 6-7 months ago and was alerted a few days prior that the specific model/packages I wanted was arriving soon. After getting some paperwork finalized online, I was able to come pick up my new car in two days.The location was clean and organized, and the rest of the staff were extremely polite and courteous. They also had a great selection of coffees or teas, as well as some vending machines while we were waiting to finalize the financing.Overall, one of the best dealership experiences I've ever had. Thanks a bunch guys! I love my new Supra!

I responded confirmed my appointment. They called 30 mins before the appointment to let me know the car was sold out to someone els.

Hands down the worse car buying experience I ve ever had. I came across an ad on social media for a car that I have been interested in and it said Toyota of Carlsbad had it. So I began my research by going on their website, clicked on the car I was interested in. Then I put in all of my information of my vehicle for trade in. The trade in estimated value from THEIR website said the value was going to be $41k. Sounded too good to be true, so I called the dealer and spoke to Martin Suarez. I first confirmed that the car was still available, then I informed him about my trade in value of my vehicle that I got off their website. He told me if it s off their website everything is good. I asked him one more time if the estimated trade in value is correct because it was about a 40 minute drive and didn t want my time to be wasted. Again, he informed me that if it was off their website it is valid. After the reassurance I was confident that they were going to made a deal happen. Well, I was wrong. When I got there there Omar the used car manager told me to show him the proof of my trade in offer, so I did. He questioned me about why it was so high because he said my car is only worth $28k. He accused me of inputting the wrong mileage that s why my value is so high. He stated I ve had customers before miss a number which increases their value. Then he asked me to show him on the computer, which I did went step by step with him next to me and the value came out to the $41k. Keep in mind I input my complete VIN to get an accurate value. His excuse was we don t go based off the estimated trade in. We go off of instant cash offer. So I asked him why their website gives that as a trade in estimate as an option, and he said we go by instant cash offer. Basically avoiding my question. Then he said your car is only worth $28k. Brand new model of your car is $43k. At this point he still wasn t able to explain to me why their website quoted me $41k. Instead of trying to work out a deal or give me other options he just continue to argue with me and was giving me the run around. I told him I was going to be leaving a review of my experience and he said go ahead. Omar was far from professional and based off his response it doesn t seem like he cares about the dealers rep nor care about making a sale. I left their dealer very upset. My time was wasted after I confirmed all the information I was given off their website was valid. Drove 40 minutes 1 way for disappointment and to be mistreated. I hope no one has to go through what I went through again.

I went to this dealership after my friend and her husband got a car from them. They were extremely and helped me pick a great car for my son and I. I was hesitant about getting a new car because I'm a single working Mom to a toddler and a new car was not in the budget. Traci Ellinwood was absolutely amazing with working out financial payment plan that fit my budget. She was completely understanding about my situation and showed me the best options that would also not break the bank. She made sure I were happy with All of the services that were provided. John Quade showed me a 2019 Nissan rogue that absolutely worked for my son and I. He was extremely kind and understanding and the car was even on a huge markdown which helped immensely. Thank you so much Toyota Carlsbad for everything.

My husband recently purchased a new vehicle here after doing lots of research and price comparisons between local dealers. The first salesman (Jose) that was assisting us was friendly and gave us plenty of space to examine/test drive the vehicles we were interested in. However, when we made our way into the building to go over pricing, the salesman left unannounced mid-way into the deal and a second salesman (Adolfo) assisted us throughout the rest of the transaction.After my husband announced that he would be registering the vehicle out of state as an Active Duty Military member stationed in CA, he was told by the sales manager that if he wanted to do this he would not be able to finance through Toyota (in addition to losing the $500 military rebate) for some obscure reason due to COVID, title issues, etc. The sales manager stated that if he wanted to tag the vehicle (in his home state of PA) he would have to pay cash. Disappointed, my husband informed the sales manager that he would pay cash.When we made our way over to finance office to finish things up, my husband informed the associate that we would be paying cash and tagging the vehicle out of state. She then told us no matter how we paid cash/finance that he could not tag the vehicle out of state unless he was given a one way pass to drive/ship the vehicle to his home state to finish the registration process. With my husband s home of record being on the east coast this was not doable. Unfortunately, we had to register and pay taxes in CA. We were quite disappointed with how this unfolded as we have purchased vehicles (from Toyota I might add) in the states that my husband was stationed at and were able to tag them at his home of record as AD military often do.The following day (Saturday), Adolfo called my husband and left a message asking to call him back with no reason stated. Upon returning his call he was unable to reach him, thus left a message however we never heard back from him **If you're Active Duty Military take this as a heads up before you buy a vehicle in CA and try to register it in your HOR. Look into it.**All in all our car buying experience could have been better. From the sales process to the misinformation from the sales manager and confusing reasons as to why the vehicle couldn t be registered to my husband s HOR as AD military. As always shop around when looking for a car and don t forget to look on the dealer s websites for (sometimes) more accurate pricing ex. SMARTPRICE!

First time car buyer and I can't say enough about how pleased I was with the service at Toyota Carlsbad!!! I took a train down to that area because I live hours away. Before I even got to the dealership Sharon, a finance manager worked it out to get me an amazing interest rate, even though I have basically NO CREDIT. I took the train down the next day and Duff picked me up RIGHT FROM THE STATION! I spent a couple hours with Duff figuring out what the absolute best fit would be for my budget and needs. We ended up landing on a car that was perfect but a little steeper in price than I could justify. So Duff took it to Dana his sales manager and they worked out a price that I was totally comfortable with. Tracy another finance manager was a rockstar and finished my paperwork and contract super quick. Once the car was picked out...I was in my NEW CAR and on my way home in no time all. I was sooo glad I made the trek down to see Duff and his team. Highly recommended, and when I'm in the market again...I will only buy cars from Toyota Carlsbad. No joke.

They wanted to charge me over $100.00 to remove plastic bag wrapped around CV boot but were somehow able to inspect it and pass inspection of said CV boot. Should be done as a courtesy or charge less.
