I had an easy drop off and pick up. I drove up to the service area and I was greeted as I got off my car and they were polite and nice. Throughout the process they sent messages about the status of my car and a video. They were very detailed with the report. I enjoyed making the 45 minute drive up to Carlsbad to get my oil change, thank you!

Great car buying experience! Will helped us with the process and was patient and not pushy. The dealership also did not install a bunch of add-ons to the car and try to charge us for it. Very straight-forward pricing, which I greatly appreciated.

Went to get my Toyota RAV4's oil changed & tires rotated. Will, the service advisor was so friendly, pleasant, professional & attentive to my concerns. He walked me over to the waiting area & showed me the amenities. In the waiting area was a young lady who was very helpful in updating my info. After a short time, I received a welcome text & one informing me of his name & to feel free to text him with questions during my visit. After a short while, Will came in to tell me my car was almost done. When done he gave me paperwork to sign along with concerns for future visits. I was there about an hour. This is in the top 5 of auto dealerships! I hope AutoNation realizes & appreciates how well they are represented. Now, what are you waiting for? Take your car in for that much needed service.

My Toyota was serviced at this location. Needed an oil change and the next mileage check up. Toyota parts not stocked but they were able to obtain and still service in a reasonable time frame. Thank goodness for the mall within walking distance. I was sent a text once the vehicle was done. Great service.My 4 stars rating was comparing my service in Texas verses California. In TX your car gets washed and they cover a check list.

The salesman Alex was wonderful and very helpful my only issue was with finance and the high pressure tactics of buying extended warranty I literally had to tell her no over 10 times and at one point there was some shady business going on with the numbers I went and spoke with Linda the senior finance person and she came over and corrected the issue and was very helpful so Alex and Linda I highly recommend but I had issues with the young finance person. Love my new car and I would buy here again

As we all know buying a car is exciting and stressful all at the same time and out of all the dealerships Autonation VW Carlsbad was a 10/10!The Sales Rep Billy R. was AMAZING! He really was informative, kind, respectful and went above and beyond to make sure I got the car I needed and WANTED! Overall this was a great experience and I can say I will for sure be back when my car needs change!

We were looking to buy a used Toyota Camry and Alex helped us through the entire sales process. The specific car we were interested in still needed safety inspections done before it could be sold. Alex kept us updated every step of the way via phone calls and text messages as the car went through the approval process.We finally were able to do a test drive of the Camry and really liked the feel of the car. However, when braking we noticed that the steering wheel would shake. Alex was very apologetic and had the dealership mechanics diagnose the issue right away. It turned out to be a problem with the rotors which they replaced free of charge.Throughout the whole experience, even the unexpected brake issue, Alex made us feel at ease. He took time to answer all our questions thoroughly and never pressured us into making a quick decision. Overall, Alex provided exceptional customer service. We're happy with our new Camry and would highly recommend working with Alex!

We purchased a car from AutoNation Volkswagen Carlsbad in late October. The day went relatively smoothly, aside from two salesman fighting over our sale and making us quite uncomfortable. On our drive home we noticed a chip in the front windshield. We called immediately to get the chip filled in and were directed to schedule an appointment with the maintenance department. We were told, "someone will call you right back". No one did. We called multiple times and were never able to get in touch with anyone to schedule. My husband even went by the dealership IN PERSON to schedule and was unable to because of how long they took to get him in touch with the right team. He finally took the car back to the dealership (at this point we had had the car for over two weeks) and demanded it be filled right then and there or he wasn't leaving. The chip was filled. Now it has been over two months since our purchase. We had traded in a leased car at the time of our purchase, and are STILL getting notices from the other dealership saying our lease payments are overdue. This dealership has not paid off our other car yet. And now we are in the same charade with them, hearing "someone will call you right back" over and over and over. We are so worried this is going to affect our credit that I am one step away from getting legal guidance. Should I report the car stolen? I'm not sure! The customer service at this dealership is horrific. After your purchase, you are these folks' last priority. How sad it is to be so frustrated and helpless with a company where you spent several thousand dollars that you feel the need to write a scathing review on the internet!

We sold a vehicle in September of 2023 and keep getting notices (fee notice, annual dues) from the DMV because the registered owner is still us. I called the dealership to inquire and a very nice person on the sales team answered and forwarded my call to the correct person with whom I should speak. Several weeks after not receiving a call back I called and again Frank answered, was very nice and helpful, and assured us we weren't responsible for anything after the sale to the dealership. For a second time I left a voicemail for Jacklyn/Jackie. Over two weeks go by without a call back, so I call. Frank answers again! As expected he was super nice and helpful, and remembered the last time I called. For the third time I was sent to a voicemail for Jacklyn. That was a couple of weeks ago.We just received another notice from the DMV. I'm not really sure what to do. After three messages and four months we feel let down and defeated.We would not recommend selling a vehicle here.

The sales team is awesome. The service team, on the other hand, is not the most helpful or trustworthy. If you want an easy car buying/leasing experience though go in and ask for Linda, she is the best.

VW has the best service advisor - Will. I have owned many cars from different car manufacturers. VW has knocked it out of the park. Will listens to my concerns and makes certain they are all addressed. Thank you for showing your customers are important. Excellent customer service experience.

I have a pre-own certified VW 2019 Tiguan that I recently brought in due to the engine light being on. When we dropped it off they shared that there was a $200 diagnostic fee. They shared that any "outside damage" such as rats etc would not be covered by my insurance, however the $200 diagnostic fee could be put towards any of the fixes needed. If it was a "inside damage" such as a manufacture malfunction, then the diagnostic fee and fixes would be covered. I felt more at ease that if nothing else I could at least use the $200 diagnostic fee toward fixes so that I wasn't just throwing away $200 since other places check engine lights for free. When they got back to us, they shared that our light was on because we needed a new battery. They quoted us $558 to replace the battery - $305 for the battery and $253 for the labor. AAA charged us $268 which included the battery, labor, and taxes... and they come to you! Yes - we ended up having AAA replace it in the end. Since we could not justify paying that much for the battery, we decided to get our break pads replaced since they were getting worn down and we needed to spend the $200 or we would lose it. I had to go back a forth a few times to get the price down using their $60 online coupon they didn't mention up front and have them waive the diagnostic fee since I then learned it wouldn't apply to any fixes other than the battery due to the fact that the work we wanted was unrelated to the engine light. The staff were nice over text and worked with us but it took a lot of question asking and back and forth to leave not feeling totally jipped. I would not go back again and would not recommend this VW dealership without knowing the issue beforehand and getting quotes first.

I came in for a 30,000 mile service (specifically stated) and the service associate failed to call out add on charges like 'motor oil treatment engine assurance plan coverage' for $35.99 and disinfecting my air filter. We will be moving our service appointments to another VW dealer.

Thanks to its incredible team, AutoNation Volkswagen Carlsbad made purchasing my first vehicle an amazing experience something I would have never imagined! I am now the proud owner of a 2024 VW GTI. I am indebted to Frank Schiefer Jr. he was SO knowledgeable about the vehicle, patient with me (a first time car buyer), and just a genuine salt of the earth guy, who was a pleasure to work with. Frank simply rocks, and I wouldn t have wanted to purchase a car from anyone else. I m also very grateful to manager Sean Sweeney, who was so kind and helpful as we navigated the sales process. Lastly, Trevor and Jacqueline with AutoNation made the financing aspect so simple & straightforward, and I was once again blown away by the kindness and genuine nature of the whole team at AutoNation VW Carlsbad. Dropped my car off for service and it was quite possibly the easiest repair I've ever done. They even found an issue with my door that I didn't know about it and fixed it! Pricing was fair and everyone was very nice. I'll 100% be coming back here for any and all future service needs. Thank you!

The Sales guys were amazing, they weren t pushy and were very knowledgeable! My ID. 4 is awesome and my wife and I were very happy with the purchase! One thing that needs work is the length of time for the whole process, it was expected and they did mention it! I still will do business with them on my next purchase!

NO ONE IS BUYING CARS FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. ITS AN ABSOLUTE GHOST TOWN.NOW I KNOW WHY.They have no respect for peoples time. They offered me 9k for my 2018 Passat online which was fair. I was very upfront with any issues my car has on the report and on the phone when they called with the offer. They get in and do their inspection and come back with 3k!!!From 9k to 3k. And they couldn t justify why.Created fake issues like empty coolant reservoir with no coolant light on??? Checked the coolant reservoir and it wasn t even close to empty?!They pass you around and whittle you down and keep you there for hours. Good cop bad cop and everything in between. No wonder no one is buying cars from them!!No integrity here at all. DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THEY TELL YOU.Go elsewhere or you will WASTE YOUR TIME!!

We had a great experience at VW AutoNation in Carlsbad. Frank was extremely helpful with finding the perfect car for our 16-year-old daughter. The process was fairly quick as well.
