We went in for an oil change and tire rotation before driving out of state. We had an appointment time and when I called to ask if I could bring the car in earlier, without hesitation they said yes. When we arrived service was prompt and completed in s timely fashion; the service manager, Alex, was very knowledgeable and helpful; and the waiting area clean and quiet. We look forward to bringing our Crosstrek back again.

I brought my 2022 Ascent in for a warranty service and Ray and the team did a great job of managing my expectations and communicating during the process. The part that came in was defective so they needed to keep it for several more days and set me up with a loaner. Picking it up took all of 2 minutes since I sent him my info ahead of time.During the repair process, Ray texted me to keep me posted but the best thing was the link he sent me to a video shot by the tech showing what he had found and also pointing out some other needs. It was great because I could see exactly what he was referring to and never felt like he was "trying to pull a fast one" as can happen in the auto service industry.The pick-up was also as easy as getting the loaner...fast and efficient. Ray and the team crushed it!

I m very impressed with Subaru Carlsbad service. My first time taking my car for routine service and everything was explained to me very thoroughly from beginning to end. They even took a video of the car and how they checked the tires and engine. Not only that, the service was very efficient and they give complimentary car wash which was awesome. The staff was very approachable and professional. I have never had a service like this before. Thanks to my Subaru family!!!!

My Subaru Impreza was in for its 30,000-mile service. Alexis guided me through the list of recommended services so that I could select the necessary services for my car. The entire process went smoothly. Alexis is my idea of what a good service advisor should be. He was attentive to my budget constraints as we selected those services to be performed now and those that could be deferred until my next regular service. I am very satisfied with the AutoNation Carlsbad Service Center.

Wow - I normally dread car service appointments, but this experience has changed my mind. This was hands down the best experience I've ever had at any car-related business, ever. Our service advisor, Robert, was seriously amazing. He was so kind and genuinely friendly and personable, always positive, and always trying to figure out how to give us the best possible service at the lowest cost. He truly saw us as a long-term customer, as opposed to an opportunity for one-time revenue. Even though this dealership is much farther from home than several other car service shops, from now on I am only taking our Ascent to this AutoNation Carlsbad service center (especially since they were able to give us a loaner car to use, which made life a million times easier). Robert, thank you for being a pleasure to work with. You are one of those people who just naturally brighten others' days!

I bought a new Subaru Forester last month from AutoNation in Carlsbad, CA. I had a totally great experience! They were waiting to get the color model I wanted. They called me immediately when it arrived. I went to see it and do a test drive and proceeded to buy. It was so smooth! Everyone I dealt with was so helpful and professional. I feel I got a great price and have been so happy with car. I love that AutoNation had me come back after a week or two and had trainer go through lots of details of the car and answer questions. This car has lots of "bells and whistles" so this training really helped this 70+ year old lady to conquer the technology! I would definitely recommend both the car and this dealership!!

Dropped off my car here and asked if I could go take a look at their car, I came to the front lot and wandered around. Jordan came to see me and kindly helped me with my inquiry about the car that they were selling. He gave me a chance to test drive one without pre-appointment. Really nice guy and hope he away be like that. People here were really helpful when gave me a quote about the car though I just wanted to take a look and was not ready to buy one yet. Maybe it depends on who you meet and their current mood, but Jordan, Miguel, and Alexis are really nice and friendly. When I am ready to look for my new car, I will come back here first. Be kind to people, and they will be nice to you

Always a pleasure taking my car in for service. They do an in depth check and inform you every step on the way. Filip, Sam and Alexander helped me during my last visit. They all do a fantastic job and are easy to work with. You can t go wrong with anyone on the team! Highly recommended this location for anyone who loves their Subi as much as I do.

We always have a great experience at this location and this visit (for a scheduled service) was no exception. We had experienced a problem with a switch on one occasion and asked them to check it out while the car was in for service. They gave us a loaner car in case they needed to keep the car overnight, but were able to complete the service and resolve the problem before the end of the day so we were not inconvenienced in any way. As everyone there is very friendly, professional and communicative and I never have any issues booking in my car; I never go anywhere else!

Online scheduling was quick and simple. There were plenty of a available time slots. I arrived 15min early and was immediately greeted by my service representative Parker. He was efficient and thorough. Work on my car was completed in about an hour as promised and all paperwork was ready for signature after my questions were answered. Thank you Auto Nation for making this experience exceptional. Customer service has tremendously improved since last visit!

Luis at Subaru Carlsbad was an absolute pleasure to work with. Not only did he listen to our every need regarding a vehicle, but he understood that a toddler and baby present meant we needed to make the process as efficient as possible and snacks, many snacks. We received our dream car, and haven t stopped bragging about the service ever since. We highly recommend Luis when car shopping. He is positive and motivated in reaching a middle ground best suited for our goals. Terrance, on the financial side of things was also a pleasure to work with. He was very informative without being pushy with all extras. We walked out smiling and will continue to be apart of the Subaru family for life.

First time buyer, always wanted a Subaru. The employees that work at the Carlsbad location are very nice. The responsible party who put the car together are NOT doing a good job. They need to be more thorough yet, the car cost a lot to purchase. Going back and forth to the dealer is stressful. Thank you for your patience and support.Subaru is a great vehicle, I love the safety features.

Oil change and recall for my car done quickly . Set up appointment week in advance. Got to service at scheduled time. Dropped off the car and they had it ready a few hours later. Doesn t get easier than that. Thanks to my advisor Filip for the great experience.

What I like about this place is the quality of work is dependable. I lean on the subject matter experts to take care of my car. Best thing is I can drop off my car, and work at their waiting lounge that has free wifi. They have an area where you can charge your laptop, so it is convenient. I highly recommend this place if you need someone to take a look at your car.

It was the 60,000 mile service on my Crosstrek. Alexis was very courteous and carefully explained everything that would be done. I was very satisfied with everything, with the one exception being the price: well over $3000. I wasn t expecting it. It made think that henceforth I should do my maintenance with an independent mechanic, now that my warranty has expired.

This is unfortunately my second less than stellar review. My last review was in the fall of 2023 and it was terrible. Was it better this time? Yes. There was no oil on my seat that had to be cleaned, or grease and oil stains on my hood and under the hood that I had to clean. The service manager called after my last visit and apologized, so I decided to give it another try. I made an 11:45 appointment and arrived at 11:35. They checked me in. All I wanted was an oil and filter change and I agreed to a courtesy wash. Aaron said it should take an hour to hour and fifteen minutes and I confirmed I was waiting. A little after 1 pm I saw my car being pulled into the shop right next to the entrance, and shortly after, raised up and the drain plug removed. At 1:52 I got a text with video. At 2:01 I sent Aaron a text that I needed to get going as I saw my car had been pulled around. I walked around looking for Aaron and finally saw him at 2:15 so I could check out. Bottom line it took 2 hours and 30 minutes for an oil change. Aaron told me to text him directly before coming next time and he could tell me more about workload. It would have been nice if he told me that when I got there and checked in. He gave me his card and wrote on the back "free mini detail". That was my second poor experience since AutoNation took over. My prior experience with Baker Subaru had been good. Not sure what happened since AutoNation took over.

Everyone was friendly and helpful, especially my service advisor, Filip Wisniewski. Details of the services needed were explained, and I was allowed a loaner car at no additional charge, which was a tremendous relief. I live near multiple car dealers and repair shops but go to Auto Nation because the service there is so excellent!

I took my Subaru Forrester in for its 30,000 mile service. The associate Parker was very helpful, courteous and professional. When my vehicle was looked at they now use a camera to view under the vehicle and send it to you which was very impressive. I always appreciate their honesty and will continue to service my vehicle at AutoNation Subaru.

My appointment was for Monday at 1:45. I arrived on time, yet no one was aware of my appointment or my car's needs. I spent 20 minutes waiting and then retelling the service writer what was needed. I was told that I would be called that afternoon regarding when my car would be ready for pickup...the call never came. I called late that afternoon to be told it would be ready early the next morning. I called at 10am and was told it I would receive a call by 12:30. At 1:30, I went to the dealership and saw my car still in the service bay. At this point, I was told it would be at least another two hours. I told the service writer that I was already late for work, and I was now going to have to walk there. I got no offer of a ride, nothing. Thankfully, the rain had stopped for a bit. He did offer that I could pay on line and pick it up through sales after hours. Poor customer service, at best.

Subaru was an amazing dealership experience for me coming from Jeep over the past 8 years.From buying the car with no hassle or hidden fees at all, to my recent service with Ray as my service advisor.I was treated like family, provided a loaner car, and followed up with status reports. Literally what else could you ask for? Couldn't be more satisfied all the way around. And my WRX is fun to drive and gas zero issues at 5k miles.

The time spent with Manny getting acquainted and being able to ask questions regarding the technology on my new Crosstrek was amazing and informative! After having spent more than 30 years in the car business and having bought many new cars, the entire experience with my purchase from AutoNation Subaru Carlsbad has been second to none!! The work on the car was good as always.I was very disappointed in the overall experience, though. I dropped the car off at 9:30AM, and was told the job (a simple oil change and inspection) would be done in less than two hours. I was then called at 11:30 AM and told it would be at least 1:00 PM before my car was ready. This was frustrating, but not as frustrating as getting back to the shop at 1:00 only to find that the car wasn't ready. In the end, my wife (who was 8 months pregnant) and I had to wait around until 2:15 PM before getting our car back. I asked for the manager's number and called to speak with him. He did not answer. I left a message and have called back two more times and left messages, but have never gotten a call back. I had to move two other appointments (including a medical one) that day because of Subaru's inability to meet a deadline, and yet John (the manager) couldn't even do me the courtesy of calling me back. Very disappointing service. Will 100% consider taking my car to another dealership in the future.

I always has a great experience at AutoNation Subaru Carlsbad on servicing my Outback. This is where I bought the vehicle when it was still Bob Baker. However, during my recent visit the technician probably forgot to replace the next service sticker info on the windshield. it is not much, but it helps me monitor my next service. Other than that, the service was excellent!!

Sales Consultant, Sean Madrid was very helpful and easy going in showing me Subaru Foresters. He found me a fully loaded used model that was in my price range. I test drove it and loved it! Sean was able to get it detailed the same day so I could drive it home. He also invited me back to Subaru for a helpful tutorial on all the special features with lots of patience. Terrence Sterbenz did a great job on the paperwork and financing.

AutoNation Subaru Carlsbad Service Department is being given the highest rating: Five Stars out of Five. Consistent excellent Crew and Facility.The location is Beach and Freeway adjacent. My Service Manager is Ray, and he worked me in on the spur of the moment for an oil change and tire rotation. After a wonderful time visiting with the other happy Subaru owners,(we're all happy) in the Customer Lounge, there my car was: out front gleaming white in the Sun, washed and ready to go. There never has been, and never will be a point in time and space to compare with my BRZ Subaru, Carlsbad AutoNation, accompanied by Ray. Absolute perfection!Thank you,Borrego Beth Sanderson
