This was my first visit to Santa Cruz Subaru for service on my Ascent. I was quickly greeted when I arrived, and my vehicle was all checked in within a matter of minutes! My service advisor was friendly and knowledgeable. The waiting area was clean and comfortable, and my service was done in the exact time and price range of the estimate I was given. I was very impressed and will definitely be back! I might even bring my dog to enjoy the outdoor waiting area Santa Cruz Subaru has added for their customers canine companions.

My service @ Santa Cruz Subaru was outstanding. Brought my Outback for its 1st service. Thomas provided me with excellent customer service and had me out in no time. Even had my car washed before pulling it up which I greatly appreciated. For myself it is an hour each way depending on traffic. But given the level of service I received from Thomas it is worth the drive.

Santa Cruz Subaru is a great dealership to buy our lease a car. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. They are experts on the cars they sell and make sure you're getting the best deal. The follow up in the service department is top notch and they offer you a free car wash when you bring your vehicle in for servicing.

Subaru of Santa Cruz came to my rescue! I was able to make a next day appointment on line. Everyone was so friendly first thing in the morning and the free shuttle took me right back to my doorstep. Thomas, my mechanical advisor, was very professional and thorough, kept me posted throughout the process as he found issues with my car. He even went the extra mile to call my extended warranty company to check coverage eligibility for the work/parts. I was back on the road with working brakes in just a couple days. Thank you Subaru!!

As always, a very pleasant experience. Everyone is friendly and helpful, especially my Service Writer Thomas Foster. Service was performed quickly while I waited after a lift home. Even got a free car wash! Thanks Subaru of Santa Cruz!

I had an easy and hassle free first time experience buying my car! I was working with Shania and she was very patient with me. I had told her the exact model of car I wanted and that's what she showed me, without pushing other cars onto me. And when I wanted to check out other trims just to make sure I knew what I wanted, she didn't try to convince me to get a different trim. She just laid out what features they had and let me think. I really appreciated that from her. It was nice to talking to her while filling out forms as well and chat with her while we waited for papers to be processed.I was later taken to Jeremy to handle financing and he was also patient with me and answered a lot of my (my brother's really) questions. He was nice and easy to talk to, very thorough with his explanations and honest. He is also in need of tech upgrades. When there were tech issues, he was positive and kept the conversation light-hearted. It made it easier to be patient when technology goes wrong. I hope he gets some upgrades, or at the least some folders. He went above and beyond for what he had and deserves something.I hope the next time I get a car I can come back here. :)

I can t say enough about how much I love Subaru of Santa Cruz. Sandra and Brandon have taken such good care of me over the years in the service department, that I will not go anywhere else (even though I live over 60 miles away). My Subaru and their service make me want to also get another one when the time arrives! I came in for my 100k service today and Kip made my day. This team is the absolute BEST!

The Service Advisor was very personal and pleasant. The technician provided a video of work that was being done on the vehicle. The Service Advisor quickly called to advise of any further work needed that went above the estimated quoted price. The Advisor also arranged for transportation to and from my residence during the work. I appreciated the wash, but a vacum of the interior would have been a nice touch.

'Twas easy to get an appointment for something best done by the dealer (calibrate eyesight cameras); they took care of me when I became available much earlier, shuttled me for pick up, and I skipped the line by paying online. Easy peasy. They also fixed a cracked oil filter, added a quart of oil, and cleaned up the splatter under my hood gratis. Everyone I dealt with was happy and helpful, much appreciated.

Was caught late on Saturday with a compromised radiator hose. David, the service writer, arranged for technicians to assess the situation and set up a rental Subaru for me to return to San Francisco, as the technicians determined my car was unsafe to drive. All this, after the service department had already technically closed.David invited me to call with any questions about the rental car and updated me on Monday about cost and repair timelines. The team was stellar and David was one of the finest customer service chaps I have ever dealt with at any company.

Santa Cruz Subaru is the best. They re always communicative, kind, and make it very easy for me. They gave me a ride to a cafe while I got a recall taken care of and came back to a washed car. It s always a bright spot in my day when I go to the Subaru dealership.

I recently bought a certified used Subaru from Jeff and Carla and could not be happier with not just the car but also with how the process went. They made the entire process personable, friendly, and professional. All my questions were answered in a kind and timely fashion. Prior to going in, I had dreaded car shopping on my own, but they completely transformed how I view the car-buying process. I felt like the listened to me, what I needed and wanted, and I didn't feel like I had to have my guard up the whole time. I highly recommend the people here- so kind and professional. While visiting family in the area my Ascent needed some work. When I went into inquire about my vehicle they were very friendly and accommodating. They got my car in that day, were able to fix my brakes and door lock. I was able to pick it up the following morning. No waiting days for an appointment. Thank you.

I had my car serviced here and they did great work and were all very polite, but there were issues with miscommunication. I thought I was just taking my car in to have its check engine light diagnosed. The work was taking longer than I expected, so I called and it turned out they were actually waiting on parts to do a repair. Not a bad thing on the surface, but it was inconvenient having to wait longer than I expected.Still, I would take my car here for service again.

They did a good job with scheduling my car. Shuttle driver was great. Coffee and pastry while waiting. They warned me about a couple items that needed maintenance but did not force the issue. Did repair as requested.

We really like Santa Cruz Subaru. When negotiating for a purchase or lease, we never feel like we re getting pressured to make a decision or choose features or services we might not need. We recently traded in our Crosstrek when our lease was about to end and worked with Luke Miller. Luke was fantastic Super informative and patient, and very efficient once it was time to deal with the details and paperwork. We were also satisfied with the price after checking in with several dealerships over the hill who seemed a little sketchy and disrespectful. Service department at Santa Cruz Subaru is always great, too.

I was honestly shocked at the lack of professionalism at this Service location. I made an appointment for service online and also called to confirm and ask about pricing. When I arrived, I was told that my technician was at lunch and not there. I asked about the appointment I made online, and the man at the desk said yeah you should call next time. I let him know I did call as well and confirm the appointment. He was abrasive in his responses and I decided I did not want to be a customer there. I have never had this kind of experience at another Subaru really disappointing.

I went there for an engine bypass valve change. I was corresponding with Thomas who works in the service department. Immediately he was extremely attentive and understanding. My Subaru was a couple to a few thousand miles over warranty and Thomas was able to get it covered. Everytime we chatted I felt like he was clear and quick with response. The tech who drove my car to check the service before picking up had left some trash behind and there was a missing item. I told Thomas about this and he went above and beyond to replace the missing item and to clean my car. I couldn t ask for any better service.

The Crosstrek that we bought is a wonderful vehicle that handles well and has great MPH! The Car and my sales agent, Shaniah Hoyla rate 5 stars!However the financial department was a disaster and created an exorbitant amount of stress, frustration and turmoil for us. The finance department rates less than 1 star. I had to return to Santa Cruz Subaru 4 times to get the contract completed correctly.The sales managers say that they are trying to get staff and procedures improved. I hope so!The service department did a great job and also washed the car.

My fianc� and I came here looking to trade in our old Impreza for something newer and bigger. We were pretty sure we wanted a Crosstrek and had our eyes on one in particular. From the website it was easy to research the car we wanted, contact the dealership and make an appointment. Both of us have weakened immune systems so, for health reasons, we called ahead and asked if we could sit outside whenever possible, or at least for the longer waiting parts of the process. We did not expect much in terms of accommodations, but these guys went so above and beyond.Our sales rep, Ben, was super understanding. He was kind and considerate and went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable throughout the afternoon. Both he and Jeremy, our finance guy, were fun and friendly and just in general awesome. We got our last Subaru at a dealership in San Jos�, and the experience was only so-so. This time around was so much better, the people here really made a difference. I do not generally expect car buying to be a fun experience ever, but the people at Santa Cruz Subaru have so changed my mind.We already loved Subaru before. We ve been brand loyal since our first Impreza, getting our car serviced at Santa Cruz Subaru for the last five years. No issues. Staff is always excellent. They re helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. And I would definitely recommend this dealership over any other I ve been to, both for service and now too for sales. And we will definitely be back in the future!Also we love our new Crosstrek!! The handling is amazing. We love the look and feel, that extra ground clearance, and all the new safety features. I will probably now not ever want to drive another car again. So thanks again to Santa Cruz Subaru! Y all are the best!

Service Manager, Robert Deleon and staff were kind and efficient. I went in for audio problem, but repair had to wait till a component arrived. However, the service crew also noted that my brakes were worn. Despite a busy day, Robert and staff got my brakes done that first visit. Then when the audio part was installed, I called for help with bluetooth. Robert said come in, and he fixed that in minutes. I am ready for a safer winter with new brakes and happy to have audio back. Thank you all.

I took my car in for its first service after purchase. I was told on the phone the service would take about an hour. When I got there, they said it might be 1-1/2 hrs, but after 2-1/2 hours I had to go ck on my car to see what was taking so long. Frustrating for a new client. No communication while I waited & no feedback on the car afterwards.

Very positive experience at Santa Cruz Subaru. I was hunting for a relatively rare used car, and Santa Cruz Subaru folks had a couple on site. Used cars shopping experience can vary, and depends very much on attitude and integrity of salesman. In this case, we were being helped by Luke, who was great - friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I did not find the exact beast I was hunting for that day, but I really appreciated the positive experience at Santa Cruz Subaru. Thank you, Luke and Alex!

Review of Subaru of Santa Cruz, Capitola, CAI recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Subaru of Santa Cruz, located at 4100 Auto Plaza Dr, Capitola, CA 95010.I brought my car to this dealership for an inspection and repair due to a concerning noise I had noticed. I was charged a hefty sum of over $6000 for the repairs, and they provided a standard 1-year warranty. To my dismay, the noise persisted post-repair.When I returned to address the unresolved issue, they shockingly refused to honor their own warranty. They demanded an additional $4000 for the repair. It was only after a long and taxing conversation with the manager, who came off as both rude and deceitful, that they finally agreed to fix the problem without further charges.To make matters worse, following their second attempt to fix the issue, not only was the original problem still present, but a new noise emerged, leading me to suspect intentional damage.The manager went on to inform me that I was no longer welcome at their dealership and that they were voiding the warranty they had initially provided. It s disheartening to think that a dealership would prioritize short-term gains over customer satisfaction and trust.In summary, I would strongly advise against doing business with Subaru of Santa Cruz. Their lack of integrity, professionalism, and customer service was evident throughout my experience. There are surely better options out there that value their customers and stand by their work.
