My brakes were failing intermittently, so Brake Masters in Canoga Park replaced the front brake pads (which did need to be done) then flushed the brake line & replaced the brake fluid, but the problem remained. They said I needed a new ABS pump for $1,500 but it would take 3 days to get the part. I went to the dealer & they couldn't find any problem with the ABS system. When they bled the line, they found that the master cylinder wasn't working properly. Since replacing it, the brakes have been fine. How does a place that supposedly specializes in brakes miss a faulty master cylinder?

Just left this place. Waste of time!Replaced brakes and rotors with OEM 6 month ago. Saying my brake pads are burnt. I didn t hear more nonsense in my life!So when people go on the track and them breaks start to burn they always replace brakes after that?1000$ of repair on 2000$ car. Dude you are greedy, you could offer only master cylinder and Brake fluid I would believe you.

They did alignment on my car. It was obvious that it was pulling left. I went back and did it again but it was still pulling left. They said computer shows ok. And the employee was making fun of me because I said your computer is wrong. They did something again. It was pulling right this time. I went back again. They said same thing. Computer shows ok. One month latter l recognize my tire surface is completely gone. Inner part of the tire was worn off. So I had to buy a new tire. I went back and ask the reason. They were very rude. Manager does not know how to talk to customer. They have connected some electronic equipment to my car. They did refund. After they hooked up the electronic equipment, one of the warning light went on. Manager said it will go away after I drive my car. After 3 thousand mile driving, it is still on. I went back ask them to fix it. He said it is not their flout. I went to Toyota service. They said they need to diagnostic for the light and will cost $150. I also have to pay $160 for a new tire. So I lost $310 because of them. After toyota did the alignment everything works perfect and I did not need to go back. I have lost a lot of money and time and no solution. Shame on you.

Pricing is a bit high. Slow service. You don't leave feeling like you got a good deal.

Had a very friendly and honest experience from Marco. I had a problem with my vehicle pulling to the left when driving. After inspecting my 1995 Honda Civic he told me what my options were and what possible results could occur. He was honest and didn't want to just take my money. I appreciate that kind of personality. Honest. Competitive pricing. They get the work done asap as well. You're not left wondering when you might get your car back, because they give very realistic estimates. They have always given me full confidence when I leave my car with them. One of the few trustworthy mechanics left in the valley.

DO NOT go to this shop This used to be a nice, honest shop that I went to several times. They now have a new service writer who is not only rude, but blatantly lied to me and ripped me off. Excellent service. Owner is honest and kind and always goes out of his way to help me and ensure everything is good with my car. You can trust him and his prices are great too. Highly recommend Brake Masters!

I was told to go to this place by a very famous auto body shop. At hello they asked me to go sign some papers before even they hear me out. After I asked why do I need to sign anything and need to first ask couple questions, the guy called the owner to talk to me. He was a fellow Iranian... polite but definitely a man with only $$$sign in mind. He saw a woman with no knowledge about cars, driving an expensive car so he quoted me around $1000+... well of course sadly I knew his kind and didn't leave my car in his hands. With my father's advise bought the parts from Mercedes dealership for $90 only and took it to another place and paid $100 for installation and service. So the whole thing cost me $190 and saved over $800 for listening to my gut feeling. This business and people like this should be banned and closed and they should be ashamed of themselves. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. THEY'RE CROOKS

Very pleased with this establishment. Shaun, the guy who worked with me, has been in the game a long time and is very knowledgeable. He saved me a lot of money. Alex, the owner, was also very helpful. These guys are great, I trust them. I ll be coming back if I need work done.

I got brakes on my minivan years ago and they're still going strong. I recently got a four-wheel alignment and it was done quickly and efficiently at a reasonable price.

I drove to brake master on canoga park today. Service was horrible. Shawn was a guy who gave me the quote. After I gave him my coupon he did not honor it. He said for 4 brakes pad your total cost is $400 after tax and labor and I accept it. once they changed my car brake he add $23 to my bill. They are not honest. I personally never go back back to this brake master and I would not recommend you to visit this brake master. Alex was rude too. Alex and Shawn you both has to get fire from your job. i had a good experience with this company so far. The place feels like a dealership. It is family owned and the son helps there. I get to meet them and they are nice people. Im happy with the service and the price is much better than dealer price.

Liars, dishonest, and overpriced. I took my car there to get an oil change, and they offered to look at my brakes for free so I obliged. They told me that my brakes were done and that I needed to replace them immediately, So i decided just to get an estimate. It came to over $400 to replace them. I said I will think about it and left. The very next day I went to my regular mechanic and he replaced them for less than $200. He also said that my old brakes were only about half done and that I had at least another 6 months before they needed replacement. Anyways, I don't know if they always conduct business through lies or they were just taking advantage of me because I am young and well off. Do not come here if you are inexperienced with cars, they WILL take advantage of you.

Friendly, rightly priced and also advice right. been going here for 6 years and never went anywhere else again. My porsche 911 oil measure takes about 30 minutes ... Jus to measure. I said I can't wait. will go home n let u know. it was not to the top all they, went back in and got it fixed fine.

The type of mechanic that gives mechanics a bad reputation. They will try to scam you. Avoid this place.My back brakes started squeaking so I took my car in for their free brake check.I knew something was off when the first thing they asked was "Are you from a snowy area?" as if they had figured it out. My license plate quite clearly says I'm from a snowy state, one doesn't have to see my brakes to know that.Anyways the guy tells me that everything is rusted out. Need brand new calipers and four new pads and rotor and new brake fluid.Immediately knew he was scamming me. I don't know why he would think that I wouldn't remember replacing my front two rotors and pads ~18 months before this (front brakes wear out faster because they do most of the braking). There is absolutely zero chance I needed all four rotors and pads replaced. He was just using the surface rust from a couple snowy winters to try and say the whole braking system was shot.The only recommendation I can give: don't go here.

Called to ask about their pricing for resurfacing rotors and they charge $20 a piece. Alabama Brakes and Alignment does it for half the cost. Also offer fast and friendly service

I dont recommend to go in this shop.I bring my dads car because there is a check engine. Before i go there we diagnostic our car first so we see it its only a oxygen sensor. My dad brought the car. The car stayed for 2 days they said they need "tune up " thats the problem lol.So my dad okk go ahead. Then the check engine still on. We called them "why the check engine light still on?" He said bring it back. Now he said "oh we need to change you gas tank. Its not working blah blah blah. " now we payed another $750 lol. I was aking for the old tank the he change. He cant even show it.We left the car for 2 weeks. And now he said "we need to change you 4 oxygen sensors.Sorry for this ratings but you guys should tell us the truth. We are not rich as you think.Godbless you

1.) Employee backed another customers vehicle into mine... owner now refuses to pay for bumper repair.2.) Crossthreaded lugnuts on my vehicle and refused to refund my repair costs, until I wasted an hour and a half of my time.3.) Very argumentative staff.The only reason I gave them one star is because my oil change went well, as far as I know. They could have crossthreaded the oil pan plug too!
