I really wanted to like this Subaru Service location, but their pricing is not for the faint of heart.First, the pros: The service center employees are very nice, and Chris was especially helpful. They accurately diagnosed my car HVAC issue as a busted blower motor (diagnostic fee - $220). They also helped ensure I knew the exact part number and general overview of replacement. The oil change and multi-point inspection was relatively fast and cost $97.97 (for full synthetic) �a reasonable/average price. I also had no issues getting an appointment. The service center waiting room is clean, comfortable, and has snacks and beverages. A+ customer service there.Now, the cons: They quoted me almost $1000 to replace the blower motor. The $220 diagnostic fee would have gone toward this replacement, but the overall cost for blower motor replacement still felt extremely high. Upon asking for a cost breakdown, the part itself was quoted as $200+ (more expensive than any part online, even from other verified Subaru dealerships), and the labor was quoted as $660-$770, based on menu pricing. The pricing was firm and could not be negotiated.I declined the service to assess my options elsewhere. For comparison, Carlsen Subaru quoted $590 total for parts and labor for the same blower motor replacement. An independent Subaru specialist shop quoted $325 for parts and labor (including tax, and to replace with genuine Subaru parts).For Putnam Subaru dealership to have a 2- to 3-fold non-negotiable price increase is unacceptable and very disappointing. I would recommend avoiding this service dealership for anything other than an oil change.

My husband, toddler, and I were headed down to Monterey for a weekend trip and our Subaru started making scary clunking noises. We drove to the closest Subaru dealership open which happened to be Putnam. Alvarado (sp?) in customer service and Chris Coleman the tech were so kind to take a look at the car for us, find the problem, and give us advice about driving the car. Huge thanks and big shoutout for their kindness and expertise!

We purchased a 2022 new Legacy sedan and had a wonderful experience with Avery's service and as well with Ricardo's user explanation. Avery Diamond is such a thoughtful and nice person and Ricardo is very expertise in the GUI operation. My family had a good time there.

This Service Department are some Crooks!Will make you reconsider Owning a Subaru overall. I come in for the same services and get charged different prices everytime. Which is why I was calling for a simple answer to a question that was apparently too difficult to answer. So for good services you must go In-Person and ask for a manager.Services: Auto maintenance, Oil change

I use to be customer of this service for 5 years, but I m done now.First of all, I should say that very nice people are working there. They are polite people, very kind and always happy to help customer.But quality of service isn t really good.Simple example, my car start driving with a hitches and I bring it there for diagnostics.They charge $250 and didn t find anything.Problem doesn t done and 3 weeks later I bring car again. This time they say there is issues with a battery and replacement can fix the problem. Another $250 and I get back car. Guys in the service say car is like a new, everything checked and everything is perfect.Two days later I go to the Sierra and in the mountains, without the cell service at dusk with a little baby in the car I got check engine ad well as other check lights (break, abs)On top of this new battery start leaking.After this I bring car in other Subaru service and they immediately find and fix problem. Car driving like a new now and other service charged less that $250.Regarding the battery they said it s Subaru recall and it should be replaced for free.In the end, after going to Carlsen Subaru I solve my problem for $200 and couple days, while Putanum Subaru didn t solve it for a week+ of work plus $500 (including cost of battery that been recalled and should be replaced for free). Battery was leaking, so have to replace, but they reject the replacement by warranty. Just want to show on the photo how battery looks like after 3 month after replacementI m really sad to write this review, because front end workers are super nice and kind, but mechanics doesn t seems to do a good job there. Installed the Rockford/Fosgate speaker upgrade on my 2022 Impreza. Had to wait for the parts to be shipped, BUT when it arrived I was notified; made an appointment, and had the system installed ASAP. They even gave me a loaner overnight. System is amazing! Could not have had better overall service...Will bring my Impreza down from the City for service at Putnam!

I went in to get the child lock safety switch fixed. I was told that it will be ready by noon since I had a appointment after 8am. The service called me and said they thought it car will be done then the parts we re missing so I had to leave the car overnight. However they give me a loaner car. Next day car was ready and I guess with the inflation going up total for one child lock switch to fix costed around $750. Everything is getting expensive. They were friendly people working there.

I want to make a shout out about Paul. He was quick to respond to my husband's email and most helpful, professional, competent, pleasant, courteous, and knowledgeable. If he was not sure, he asked his manager. I would not hesitate to refer friends and family to him to purchase a new or used car. He's awesome and gets a 10 out of 10.

Putnam subaru service team rocks! I've been going there with my beloved subie for 8 years now...same team, in my (many) years of owning a car, I've never had such outstanding service for any vehicle.
