I was referred here by a friend who has used Gary, the owner for years. Ran into another person who had been having his auto serviced by Gary for 15 years. That specks volumes even before he worked on my car. Great work, honest answers at a decent price! Gary will ne working on my car moving forward. Coming from Chicago, the dealerships here are to ne avoided.

Gary was very clear with his assessments and explained to me his thought process and reasoning for his interventions with the car issues I had. I really appreciated his transparency and willingness to guide me through the plan. The communication was fantastic all the way through, including expected expenses and timing. I felt very comfortable that any questions I had would be received in a thoughtful manner. Very positive experience!!

Great quick service. My motor started shaking on Tues . Wednesday I called 3 mechanic. One didn't want to look at it the second said he was very busy but would fit me in on Saturday. Gary returned my called and I took it to him on Thursday morning. About 3 hours later he found the problem and fix it. It was one of my car pistons. I payed him about $281. I don't know if that is what other mechanics charge for the job. But I was so great full I didn't care. I got my car fix correctly. And was able to return back to work. Thank you Gary for your quick service.

Gary was absolutely wonderful, reliable, and trustworthy- which is hard and nerve wracking to find in a mechanic. He was able to diagnose what was wrong with my car, fix it and get it back to me in a timely manner. He explained it very well to me and even took a video for me to show me what was going on. His prices are very reasonable, honest and fair. I will definitely be going to Gary for all future issues and repairs.

Family-run business that s operated for over 100 years. Gary, the current owner, did a pre-purchase inspection of my Subaru (on little notice) and found every detail, even staying late to check a final port that needed to cool down. Easily the most trustworthy mechanic shop I ve used. Favorited on Google Maps so I remember to come back.

After a 75,000-mile inspection at a local dealer, I was a bit suspicious of the $3000 worth of odds-and-ends "maintenance" that they recommended for my car, which was in good working order. I decided to take it to Pacific Auto for a general inspection to get a second take on the situation. Gary (my point of contact) was incredibly professional and quite knowledgeable, and it was easy to set up an appointment. He recommended only one of the maintenance items my dealership had, and the total was just shy of $200 (extremely reasonable for what was needed). This place likely saved me $2800 of unnecessary work. I highly recommend them for their honest work at a reasonable cost, and will definitely be back next time I need service.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I highly recommend Gary and his team. Our radiator cracked over the long weekend and Gary was able to get us in right away to fix it as soon as the replacement radiator was available. He did outstanding work and even took some time to ensure other things were in good working order.

To Tell the truth when I take my car into a shop that I have not used before I always have reservations about weather it's going to a good or bad experience. I met Gary and discussed the problem my car was having. He told me how he would diagnose the problem and let me know how much it would cost. The repair was taken care of and I was very satisfied. Gary is a very competent mechanic and easy to talk to. I have taken my car back to him on another matter and was very satisfied with the work.ps I'm a retired Firefighter and was the Fire Mechanic for my department, so I know when the job has been done right.

My car broke down while I was at an Oil Stop and I found Pacific Auto Repair online while waiting for the tow truck. Gary took my car right in on Friday afternoon and gave me a call with an estimate before close of business, I got it back on a Monday. Final price seemed a bit high, and my front window does not roll down (not sure if this was just an unlucky coincidence) but all in all job well done. Very quick, friendly and convenient service. Would definitely recommend

Gary does a great job! He will fix or check what you ask but then also looks for those small things that might escape you. For example, he found a nail in my tire tread that hadn't yet punctured the tire, let me know that my wiper blades were not working well and found that one of my rear brake lights were out. The brake light was something I didn't see and was a safety hazard and could have resulted in a ticket.His customer service is excellent, he takes the time to explain what he is doing and why and what needs to be done right now and what can wait. Not being a "car expert", it is a relief to have someone like Gary I can trust--who will take care of my car and I don't have to worry that someone is taking advantage of my lack of knowledge. I would highly recommend him!

Went to Pacific Auto for a 60K service on my car. Everything went well! I thought the inspection was fair and the owner let me know everything was good and they I had about 25% life left on my brakes. He didn't try and scam me by saying they really needed to be replaced either. The only reason why this isn't a 5 star review is because when the blower motor resistor was being repaired, the temperature knob was disabled and not reconnected properly so I had to go back a few days later.

My husband used to be the one to take the cars in when anything needed done on them. Since he passed away, it has been a great comfort to me to be able to continue to take my car to Pacific Auto Repair and know it will be cared for by the most decent, honest and knowledgeable mechanic I have ever met. And I love being reminded when my car is due for a checkup, or for certain I would neglect important upkeep. Thanks, Gary!

Gary (owner) is a knowledgeable, conscientious, honest, and thorough mechanic. This is his family business and it is clear that he takes pride in doing the work right. My wife had no problems taking her vehicle to him for routine maintenance and brake maintenance. He fixed up my 2004 VW mk IV GTI without any difficulties and got the car to me ahead of schedule.He will continue to be our mechanic of choice for future vehicle maintenance and repair.

I have been going to Pacific Auto Repair ever since I have had a car and my parents took their cars there. They would not be in business (I think since 1926) all these years if they were not EXCELLENT. They always do excellent work and in a timely manner. I would not take my car anywhere else.

AAA told me this was a 24/7 repair shop and that they would be OPEN when we got there at 5pm on Sunday. FAIL. No posted hours. Got towed there, had to go elsewhere for repairs.
