OK! So I have an old car that I bought from sketchy people!Burned thru 2 brand new alternators in 10 days.I was referred here by my mechanic.Guess what? They were straight with me & my bill was just a fraction of what I thought it would be!I m so relieved & so grateful! They could have charged me triple & I would never have known! These are honest, nice guys!I can t recommend them more!

Experience and knowledgeable with working on 1965 or older vehicles. Before taking my 65 Chevy Surburban CarryAll, it would be hard to start-warm or cold, flood easily, unsafe fuel lines, unsure what could go wrong. Kevin's knowledge and experience was able to identify and fix many safety issued. He was able to provide information on what would be needed in order to maintain the vehicle. Today the Chevy runs great! Easy start every time! Makes it a blast to drive. Doug and Denny designed clean side steps making it easy to get in and out. If it was not for Brea Auto-the beast would still be sitting in storage rusting away. Thanks Brea Auto!

Kevin & Doug are more than qualified and have the experience to work on your classic car. I restored the 70' Ford T-Bird I grew up in and needed an electrician/mechanic. I was all over and had some bad experiences with others, it is so hard to find good help but glad to find Brea Auto Electric. Doug, Kevin and crew are absolutely professional and qualified. 5 Star rating.

So, we have a family mechanic, and they suggested to us to come here to Brea Auto Electric, because they couldn't fix what's going on with my truck. In the first 15 minutes of Kevin being under the hood, hooked up to the OBD2, he was able to physically explain what/why, and give me ideas on how to move forward. Quality shop, looks like a junk yard, but that's an aesthetic. If you don't get it, you won't understand I'll definitely be adding this place to my list of trusted shops.

Took my '72 Chevelle for estimate to replace long tube to Sanderson shorty headers.Doug looks at it says pretty straight forward, about 4 hour job for $400 on 350 motor.Set up appt, and had for 2 days,I always call and ask if any issues, and they said there were none.I go to pick up car,and they hand me bill for $675,and refreshed their memory about $400 for install,at that point, they became rude and very unprofessional, and ,I agreed to give an extra $100 toward install, but didn't have the additional cash, and said would be back. When arriving home looked closely at under carriage and noticed flywheel ,or torque converter dust cover hanging down exposing gears,I called and stated the issue, and asked why they didn't tell me about issue,I was able to pull cover off and temporarily fix,so could drive vehicle.I also called and told them I would pick up old headers,so went back on Mon,since not open on wknds,to pick up,and they wouldn't even acknowledge I was standing there.I approached them, and they said headers were in dumpster out in yard, after telling them I would be there to pick up,and inquire why they didn't inform me of cover being off,and was told not their business to tell customer of all the issues they see wrong! At this point I decided to NOT pay additional $100,and left! They were rude and very un professional.I went there expecting at least some professional mechanics,I read previous reviews and expected more.they are NOT at all good at customer relations! The issue could have cost me thousands, and they felt is wasn't important to let me know! P.S,my name is John Arel, somehow came up in wife's name!Service: Exhaust

I brought my 1946 Chevy Panel truck here to have a new wiring harness installed. Not only was the wiring taken care of, but a variety of issues from poor work from previous shops. I am quite satisfied with the work, and the value. This is a very busy shop, so be prepared for that. I have and will recommend this shop for any and all classic to hot rod work.

Salty old hands that went out of their way to help me, free of charge, try to get my very stuck alternator pulley off. Neat shop.

Yea they are total a-h#$@#! I had my Mustang towed in there and I was having charging problems. Doug or whoever came out, lifted the hood and said I'm not working on this car it is a cluster$%#%! He didn't test the alternator or anything. I mean he is an auto electric guy! What a jerk. I am going to post on Yelp also.

These guys are great they did a brake job on my 57 chevy and did a class job. The car had been sitting for years and they completely rebuilt the stock brake system and fix the electric problems as well and consulted with me on the entire project.

My family has been using Doug for decades. They're not the cheapest but they're the best and they are honest. The biggest down side is time as they've usually got more work than hours in the day. Still worth it though, just be patient.
