Went here again for my Wife's Birthday! We got a really good Winter Rate so we were able to celebrate locally at a good price! It was a stormy rainy night, my wife and I enjoyed the free bottle of wine, YUM. Then we went to the outdoor hot tub and enjoyed the combo of the rain, hot water, and lapping ocean waves! The front desk Lady was so friendly when we checked in. She was very informative about how the Inn works and all the amenities we receive as guests! Good Job Front desk Team! Room was very clean and comfortable! I cant wait to stay here again sometime in the summer! ALSO! Reading the Press democrat (complimentary delivered to your door each morning) and enjoying our free complimentary breakfast at the restaurant in the morning looking out upon the grey sleepy bay and we got to watch a seal playing in the water! Great experience! Cant wait to return!

We ve stayed here often over the years and usually it s pretty wonderful. When we arrived we were really impressed by the remodeled rooms and the room seemed comfortable. We had a second floor, vaulted ceiling King bed, Bay view room. We arrived 1/1/24. After sundown the room became unbearably cold as we were unable to get the Heat & Glo fireplace or thermostat to work. We called down to the desk two times with no answer. We waited a few minutes, called again and kindly told how to operate the heater - which was turn the thermostat all the way up to the right . I informed we did that a few times and still nothing. They quickly agreed send up maintenance- that was about 6:30pm. We grabbed an extra blanket, waited for a few hours and decided to snuggle on the covers around 10pm, to keep warm. No maintenance ever showed to fix the heater. It s now 6am and it s freezing. Though I love the upgrade immensely and the cleanliness of the room, I d rather have heat vs the remodeling. I feel we couldn t enjoy the room as we typically would due to the cold. I would suggest that they stock extra blankets in the room or a thicker one in case the heater goes out in the winter. This review shouldn t take away from the fact our encounters with staff were really friendly, just not sure what happened to the maintenance person showing up. We truly value proximity to and from dinner, closeness to a gas station along with the friendly staff we always encounter. For us, the visit was clouded by an uncomfortable, unenjoyable room and that service/maintenance didn t show to fix as promised.Walkability: The Tide Restaurant & Bar is within walking distance though if having mobility issues you ll want to drive due to incline walking back. It s a nice walk for anyone that can handle it. Gets the heart pumping if not usually physically active but not bad. There s also a fresh fish market, gift shop, gas station nearby.Food & drinks: Our dinner @ The Tide Restaurant & Bar came to 206.00 with gratuity included - two appetizers, a small bowl of soup, fish & chips, small bowl of pasta and two glasses of wine. Service was friendly though they forgot on two occasions to bring the wine, asking each time which one i ordered. They also brought a Coke, which we didn t order and only told them so they knew someone was missing their drink. The Inn no longer offers a fine dining restaurant on site.

I recently spent 2 nights at the Inn At The Tides in Bodega, CA. The place has lovely landscaping and wonderful hotel suites. My friend and I stayed in a lovely room with a great view overlooking the Pacific Coast Hwy and the ocean beyond it. The rooms were neat and clean. Plus, the housekeeping staff were exceptional. They not only made the bed each day, but also returned a Kindle I left in the room after leaving! I was able to contact one of the managers, Evelin, at the front desk, who was gracious and kind, and who made sure to find my Kindle and send it back to me. I cannot tell you how important it is to know that there are still responsible, kind, and reliable staff to respond so promptly and kindly to a guest s needs! I will certainly be coming back to spend many more visits at the Inn At the Tides when visiting Bodega Bay, CA!! Kudos to the Inn At the Tides, and especially, their wonderful staff! Sincerely, Nichole Hansen

Outdated and in disrepair. The room was not clean. Spider webs, dirt. Bad pillows. HVAC impossible to keep steady or comfortable. Gap on a door causes cold air to flood into the room. Towels had frayed spots and we had to share towels the first night and then they cleaned the room and only brought pool towels. We never even bothered because management doesn t care.Hot tub BLEACHED and RUINED my swimsuit in 1 night, I follow all care instructions from the manufacturer and talked to their rep, this hotel is greedy and refused to correct the situation. Management does not care. The food here is horrendous, outdated retirement home quality. The management only cares about the bottom line. Ghetto repairs, they obviously do not run this place professionally. They re riding the coat tails of the location. This place is purely disappointing. A few staff are nice. For the most part is classify this location as actual trash. Seriously disappointing that there are enough unwitting first time visitors with low standards that will pay these rates and keep this place thinking it s ok to act so sub par.

Pulled in - while driving up the coast to Jenner - looking for a place for the night and this place was relatively inexpensive - immediately followed through the parking lot by a security gaurd in a white minivan - and literally accosted . Review is for initial impression - which was very , very poor. Poor experience - 0/10. Would not recommend if visiting Sonoma Coast - stay in Jenner instead. If searching for a place last minute after visiting the Sonoma coast - this is not it ( unless you are open to ill- treatment). Keep your 10/10 day going and either shoot up to Jenner or crash at the Bodega Bay inn.

This place is way more expensive than what it is worth. We paid almost 500 dollars for one night for a basic hotel room, there were no upgraded features of any kind. We also did not feel welcome at this resort. We kind of felt that the staff was looking down on us when we were trying to check in. The great bay views that are promised online were also very misleading, the hotel is on the opposite side of the highway and not next to the bay like you are lead to believe.

We had planned a trip to Northern California, so my husband could see the Redwoods. This was our first stop. What a beautiful way to start our vacation! The room was absolutely wonderful, especially the fireplace! The view was spectacular! Our friend had booked our two rooms next to each other, and our room number on the receipt was 0708, but I don't remember if that was our room number or his. The view was the water on one side, and on the other side was a peaceful, pastoral scene of cows and wildlife. Extremely mesmerizing, calming! The restaurant on the hill was very good, just a little pricey. Too bad the other two hotels on the trip were both let downs. This will be a return visit if we're ever in the area again.Rooms: Very up-to- date, clean, comfortable, cozy, quiet.Noteworthy details: Easy access, beautiful scenery and quiet.

Absolutely worst experience at a hotel that I have ever had in my entire life. The room says it is $259 online, but yet we were charged $409 when we got there and were told that $100 would go back on our card after our stay. Well it is after our stay and my card was charged $100 today and they are saying that $100 will go back on my card. What about the $100 extra cash that I paid??? The customer service is absolutely terrible. From the front desk clerks to the people you call with the phone number online to the general manager who is supposedly the son of the owner who I was told by the front desk is "too old to do anything". The room was mediocre and not at all worth what we paid. The continental breakfast is a joke to the point of we just decided to go elsewhere. They only give you things like muffins and juice otherwise you have to pay for breakfast. The front desk and maintenance guy both told us they don't get paid enough and the front desk girl flat out told us she didn't care. The bathtub was terrible and we didn't feel comfortable using it. The pillows were flat. The view was mediocre from our room with a big tree right in front of the water making it not so great of a view. The general manager said he wasn't going to do anything for us and walked away not caring at all. I will never recommend this place or go back. Do not waste your money here. It's not at all what it looks like online. Extremely disappointed to say the absolute least.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for new years eve/day. It didn't even feel like a hotel or inn. More like a cozy type of apartment. We got a suite, it had all the usual stuff, also had a fireplace to keep the room warm. A couch to sit, but it was the gorgeous view that did it for me! From our suite you could see lots of the little town and the ocean water. It is a procely place to stay at, but it's absolutely worth it, in my opinion. Will definitely be going back here whenever I visit Bodega Bay again.

Great New Year's weekend stay! Gorgeous view! Quiet and relaxing. Comfortable bed and nice fireplace. Did not use pool and spa, but looked very inviting. Wish they had coffee and tea in the office or Kurig machines in the rooms. Room coffee was not good and I would have loved a decent cup to ease into the morning without going out. Continental breakfast at The Tides was okay, nothing special except for the awesome view, but complimentary and there was the option to upgrade so it was fine. Nice that it was across the street and fairly close.

Location is very good, but the hotel is stale and so is the restaurant. The complimentary breakfast is a disappointment and full of carbs. Coffee very generic! The towels in the bathroom seem to be 5 years old, and the room had chipping paint. A fog horn kept us awake the two nights we stayed there. It probably impacts the whole area, but a heads up of this would be helpful. It sounded like a phone was ringing all night long in the unit next to ours. We were charged high season price for staying there this past weekend, and the manager insisted it was high season! Everything we have read online indicates differently. It s actually middle of low tourist season. Her customer service skills go along with the staleness of the inn. There was no negotiating for a more reasonable two night stay, and she couldn t be bothered by our conversation. She was arrogant and lacked engaging skills which could have changed the outcome of our stay, whether she could have offered a discounted price or not. There are better places to stay at a more reasonable price in this wonderful area along the Sonoma coast!

I read some negative reviews here before I booked for a room. I can say that not all would have the same experience. Me and my mom wanted to go vacation for a few days near a beach and decided on Inn at the Tides. The location of the Inn is perfect as it is closer to public beaches and restaurants. Checking in was easy and the staff (including maintenance) were super nice. Our room was splendid and the inn had a pool, a sauna and gym! We had to book an ADA room because of my mom and was really well accessible for her. The complimentary continental breakfast that came w the room was actually good and you could order anything else from the main menu 25% off. I would recommend for anyone wanting a vacation stay by the beach to book at the Inn at the Tides.

Some of these reviews are obviously just plain made up! This place is awesome! Dated? Who cares? Views are great, has pool, hot tub, workout room, laundry facility. Did your last hotel have all that? Did your last hotel include a bottle of wine? Beds are super comfy. I have stayed here over 20 times and get a great nights sleep every time. Folks, this is Bodega Bay, not downtown LA.

We had such an amazing weekend here and we will DEFINITELY be making a return visit! Check in was extremely easy and the staff was incredibly friendly. We received a complimentary bottle of wine at check in and had such a gorgeous view from our patio. The beds were very comfortable and the hot tub, pool, and sauna were all very relaxing. All the staff that we interacted with (even just in passing) was very friendly and welcoming. They include breakfast which is currently boxed up for you and you pick it up in the lobby.10/10 would recommend.

location and room was good, service was awful. people at front desk have no manners or people skills especially blonde mid age lady who told me really rudely if I want water I have to walk to cross street. what kind of of hotel office doesn't have a pitcher of water for guests paying $350 for a room. there was no thank yous or anything. The breakfast they advertise is literally a joke. The restaurant owner cross street did not even let us sit there, gave us a couple of coffees and croissant to go. They also let dogs in their hot tub which is very gross. we will not be back to this place and will share our experience with friends.

Clean rooms, super friendly front desk staff, the view from the room covers the entire bay, peninsula, and the ocean. There's cows next to the property that I personally find cute and grounding. Have already seen deer, quail, cows, sandpiper, gulls, pelicans, and cranes all from the window within a few hours of arrival. Continental breakfast is included with your visit asking with a complimentary bottle of local white wine in the room fridge. The grounds are very neat. There's a heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna, gym, and across the street is a wonderful seafood restaurant and market and gift shop.Worth the price.

Stayed here for one night in a first floor double queen room with a patio. The room is very nice, clean and has wonderful views of Bodega Harbor. We used the hot tub and was heated perfectly. The heated swimming pool was a little too cool for our liking. Room comes with a to-go boxed breakfast and was good. We would stay here again.

Stayed yesterday ( Jan 6, 2022) checked out this morning. Stayed in room 908. Room was spacious. Super clean. They offer bathrobes and a free bottle of chardonnay. Nice big bathtub. The property has a large t shaped pool and outdoor hot tube that's pretty deep and large. The property itself was amazing and great location. The downside was our neighbors and the walls being thin. The room next to us (906) had a party of 5. They returned to their room at midnight loud and I assume drunk. Woke my husband and myself and my child up from midnight until 2am when they finally passed out. Unfortunately you can hear everything. Thumping, laughter, slamming of their door, a few big thuds. Didn't get the best sleep due to it . Especially spending 306$ for a night.

I came here with a friend for an overnight in May 2021 and was so delighted. The grounds were absolutely beautiful (wonderful flowers, succulents, landscaping) with a terrific pool and hot tub. The room was perfect - extremely comfortable bed with lovely view of the Bay. We even got to enjoy a complimentary bottle of wine, and a newspaper at our door in the morning! For breakfast, the staff set up a to-go breakfast and coffee in order to accommodate COVID guidelines, which I thought was a nice touch. I look forward to returning!!
