I recently visited this stunning beach with its picturesque white sands and dunes. The serene atmosphere is enhanced by the presence of numerous birds, creating a peaceful escape. The beach's uncrowded nature, especially away from the parking lot, allows for a tranquil experience.Watching surfers ride the waves adds a touch of excitement, while the occasional sighting of horses adds to the charm.A leisurely two-mile walk to the end of the beach (four-mile round trip), taking less than two hours for a round trip, is a delightful way to soak in the beauty. At the beach's end, there is a small cave where leaving your name and comment feels like a personal touch. In summary, this beach is a true gem, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty, solitude, and a touch of adventure.

This lot has a short loose steep sand hill trail up to a ridge overlook. This particular dune side is steep enough for boarding. There was a rope in August to swing over the side but that could change

Water, sand, ETC!!!!! Arrived here,Two olden men searching with metal detectorsINSTANTLY found some dimes. Good luck charms surround this beach like a halo around an angels head! Beautiful beach would 10/10 see this GREEN shipwreck TONIGHT

Tiny parking lot, decent pit toilets and no signs out on Hwy 1 make this the secret spot of the region. On weekends getting here early is the key to getting a spot to park and the hike through the dunes is short and invigorating. There is a shipwreck buried in the sand right where the beach path leaves the dunes and hits the beach. Pictures attached from November 2016.

Not much parking but there's a restroom and access to the beach. Be prepared for a steep climb down to the ocean.

Not a beach for swimming as big pounding waves. Lots of fisherman & folks enjoying the waves&sun.

I don't want word to get out but this is my favorite local beach.Parking, trash cans, rest rooms. The various trails from the parking lot can be steep and a bit scary...But there are amazing plants and rocks along the way.Stay mindful. Don't overload yourself. Take your time. Stay safe. take everything you bring. Be kind. Enjoy.

Too many people who either don t know how to read or are willfully ignoring the abundant signage that prohibits dogs. It s protected habitat for snowy plover. How about following the rules? I know you came all the way from Sac but that doesn t give you the right to do whatever you want.

The water at the beach was super cold... so we checked out Salmon creek. It was wonderful! There is a huge sand dune wall that we watched adrenaline junkies surf down on boogie boards. The water is much warmer in the creek and we went for a swim... SUCH a great spot. The dune is on the other side of the small locals parking lot through a super tight street that only fits one car at a time... parking is very limited.

It's a small parking lot, but adequate for most week days. The narrow road that leads to it sometimes gets quite congested with cars trying to park on busy weekends. A beautiful beach access .

Awesome access to the beach. Restrooms could use a little attention. But overall the area was clean.

One of the best beach access points if you get there early and get a spot.

It was a tight fit for vehicles and only one way in and that one way in was your only way out of the parking area, so I got lucky to even get a parking spot
