Room 114, going up to the door alot of trash on the ground, T.V. only 1 channel work, the screen came off the rail, smell bad, dust on headboard & base broad, no pen & paper, needed vacuum, oh and I was looking forward to the spa time it didn't even have water in it to use it, the only thing good about the place was the bed was very comfortable. We came here a very long time ago and it was very nice place & the spa was great. This is the first time I have left a review. Not coming a again.

Spent 2 nights here and had absolutely no issues. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had an upstairs king room with gorgeous views of the bay. The front desk and house keeping staff were friendly. Despite seeing some of the negative reviews, we wanted to try the place out for ourselves. No disappointments! Everyone has their own experiences and ours couldn't have been better.

The reviews on this place are all over... I will state that the front desk lady was extremely rude. There is a dog area, and past reviews have dogs in the pictures, but no dogs are allowed? The hot tub is disgusting and hasn't been open for years. There is no breakfast, and I was told they aren't responsible for what websites say they have? Excuse me? Where exactly would they get that information... We woke up with bug bites. If it wasn't for the false advertising, this wouldn't be the worst hotel we stayed at on our trip. The front desk lady needs to learn some people skills.

Run away this place. The reviews here are very true. I don't know what her name is, and I guess she is not normal. We booked a 2 bed room for 4 people, and we only came for 2 people to check in because we were camping at the beach. We just asked if it's possible to add two kids under 2 year old. She said no, and we have to book one more room because 6 people. We said ok and only stay with 2 adults and 2 kids. She said no again because we asked for 6 people and no change. She said we can not take this room anymore because we asked 6 people, so we have to take 2 rooms to get a discount. I said I was just asking, so now we are not staying with 6 people what to do with two rooms. She said no again and left. That old lady is crazy.

Staff were extremely thoughtful and accommodating. I stayed with my dog and the staff took the care to inform me that they had seen a fox roaming the grounds. My stay was over the christmas holiday and I unexpectedly found gifts for both myself and my dog hanging from the door Christmas morning. It was an absolute joy.Regarding the physical accommodations themselves, the rooms are comfortable and sizeable. If you are a birder, this is the perfect hotel. The "bird walk" is easily reached on foot. There is also a wonderful view of the marsh from the bay-facing rooms. I saw a variety of birds just sitting out on my balcony including: Egrets, scrub jays, and a bald eagle. walking/short drive distance from a decent selection of restaurants.

My wife and I stayed there in the middle of the week for two nights in June 2022. The place was not busy at all. So that was nice. The service from the front desk was great, friendly and pleasant. The room was large and clean with a small balcony with a bay view along with a small table and chairs. It also had a coffee maker, microwave and a refrigerator. It had good TV reception (cable) so lots of channels. However, I did think that the TV was a bit small for the size room.My only negative thing I will point out was the latch on the sliding glass door leading to the balcony. It was almost inoperative. It was very hard to latch and unlatch. If you had to use it in an emergency to escape you would be hard pressed to open it quickly. If they fix that then it could get another star.

The view initially was of a bush, in the dog room we later learned but we didn t bring a pet. We were moved the next day to an upper room with a fabulous view. The woman at the front desk was not in a good mood at any point during our 3 night stay. We did not appreciate the condescending way she dealt with us. We stayed here before and did not experience anything Iike that as he staff was always friendly and accommodating. Also when we booked the room it was noted there was a 50.00 per night room tax which almost caused us to look elsewhere. In reality the room tax was much less when we checked out. It might be good to give a realistic figure when reserving a room.

I would leave a zero if possible. Had a booking mixup on my end admittedly, but was greeted by the rudest person I've dealt with in years and i work in retail. Don't know why she wrote sunglasses inside in a dimly lit room but maybe she was high and her behavior would be explained. When i thanked her as i was leaving, she shouted at me about no availability in town. I went back to try to clear the air and she greeted me with a defensive "I'm not rude."Trust me, you're not convincing anyone.Noteworthy details: Horrible service, difficult to find, no views beyond parking lot.

I love staying here! It's not just dog friendly, but dog welcoming. They have treats ready on arrival and even have a nice pup relief area. The King room is very large and comfortable with a bed and a lovely seating area. It's an easy walk to restaurants and Doran Beach. Have stayed here twice and plan to go back. Great for an escape from the city and the heat.

This was my second time staying here and both times were absolutely amazing. We stayed for 4 days and on our second day our hot water went out in our room. They were soooooooooo accommodating and moved us to a spa suite!!! Unbeknownst to me, my boyfriend proposed to me that night! It was so serendipitous! I thought they must have been in on it! But no, they were amazing and accommodating all on their own!! Thank you Karen and Isabel!!!!!!

I'm actually quite upset with our stay here. Overall I'm really upset with how DIRTY the room wasn't! Also, It was not even 8pm on a Friday when I called to see if rooms where available and the lady working stated we had to Hurry they were closed and have one room left. I used to work front desk at a hotel so I know how a hotel should operate. Once we got into the room our pillow cases were dirty with a shoe print, the walls and floors were nasty, the bathroom trash can was filthy and the walls have things caked in the corners. I have photos of the room as we paid $300 and I felt is not worth it at all. The only good thing is the bed was actually comfortable.

We had a wonderful weekend in Bodega Bay! The Bodega Coast Inn and Suites was perfect. Great location, view, and very comfortable. Our dog Daisy was welcomed. We stayed in room 132. The receptionist Karen was incredibly warm, friendly, welcoming and helpful. She recommended Lucas Wharf for breakfast and dinner. Our meals were absolutely delicious and the servers there were also some of the friendliest people ever.We will have the best memories of our weekend in Bodega Bay! Thank you to everyone there who make it such a special place to relax!

Poor Customer Service!!! Giving it a 1 because of the front office gal, she was not very kind, we asked for more towels, she told us they gave us enough for the stay we had bought! Didn t you hang up your towels she responded! This is too much banter!! When my partner went to exchange our towels for new ones she continued to mumble under her breath about why we don t need towels ..really!!Absolutely unprofessional!!! Rooms were ok not the nicest. I would rather stay somewhere else than deal with this! Also no hot tub or pool was in use as well!

We were staying in Bodega Bay a few nights with our son and were mistakenly given a room that was only partially cleaned when we arrived. We called down to the front desk to complain about the room condition. Innkeeper Karen Richardson was very apologetic and immediately took measures to make things right for us. She gave us two new rooms (with fireplaces) for the price of one for both nights. We also received a nice bottle of wine. We were very happy with the new rooms and my son was happy to get his own room. Thank you Karen Richardson. We had a great time in Bodega Bay!

Stayed here twice (2016 & 2018) with my service dog and liked it a lot. But this time, I didn't even get a chance because they immediately refused my service dog. They only "recognize" seeing-eye dogs and dogs that "pull a wheelchair."(???) This is blatantly illegal and when I told them so and sent them the ADA guidelines they came back with the appropriate question about the service my dog provides but also repeated that if he isn't a seeing-eye dog or "wheelchair pulling" dog (lol) they were going to charge me a $50 pet fee. Also illegal. Found MULTIPLE similar reviews on Yelp. When I pointed THAT out, they offered me the room with no mention of a fee at all. No thanks. There are other options.

Karen pulls a "Karen".My mother in law has been staying at this and other hotels in BB for the last 30 years as it is a family tradition for her, my wife and my daughter to vacation there once a year. This year she scheduled her stay only 2 days in advance due to her work giving out her schedule week to week. The day before they were set to leave her daughter in law and three grand children ages 10 - 14 were in a devastating car accident resulting in the death of the other driver and all 4 passengers being air lifted to area hospitals. You can see the crash on the news by Googling "Car accident Forest Hill CA 7/12/22".While her 3 grand children and daughter in law were being rushed into surgery, her ex-husband, my wife's father passed away due to a tragic heart attack no one saw coming, he was 65 and otherwise healthy. In the midst of all this unbelievable chaos my mother in law had the strength of character and foresight to call and cancel a hotel reservation so that the hotel could attempt to resell the room. A courtesy most of us would not have extended in those circumstances. When she called the hotel crying, Karen told her she would not be issuing a refund and then called her a liar. "you wouldn't believe the things people try to tell us to get out of a reservation", while I do not doubt there are psychopaths that make up wild excuses to get out of hotel reservation I find it very unlikely that its common for someone to tell you a story of this magnitude on a regular basis.I tried calling to reason with this walking, talking cartoon villain of a woman and all she could manage to say was that "Bodega Bay is a destination town".So in closing, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. They clearly have a dim view of humanity that has permeated their business practices and I would not be surprised if the soap is chained to the shower like a pen in a bank.

Beautiful hotel with beautiful views. Not too pricey and super close to many beaches. The vaulted room we stayed in was gorgeous, clean, private balcony with a view of the beach. Pretty bathrooms with plenty of mirrors and a nice sized shower. Air conditioning worked amazing. The rooms feel isolated/private from the other rooms which was a good thing for us.

October 11th 2019 our stay here was very comfortable but of course you always get what you pay for! Our room was lovely, clean and more than comfortable along with an awesome view...Breakfast was okay but after paying at the higher end for a night s accommodation you would expect to have crockery and cutlery instead of all that horrible plastic cutlery and paper plates, please take note and think of the environment! Also this Inn needs to repair the steps going up to the upper levels of the rooms, be aware don t trip on the wobble steps!

The room had no working heater. We had two babies that were freezing, so I had to stay up to hold them all night because they were both shivering. The outside temp was 45 and in the room it was below 60. We tried to call the lady at 10:00 pm letting her know that the heater wasn t turning on. She said oh I know for a fact it works and the heat is just rising. Anyone that has common sense knows that a heater will not only heat the top of a room. The room was freezing and not enjoyable at all.

Amazing room and service. The room was clean and large, bed was comfortable but my favorite part of it was the amazing view of the bay from my patio. It's very quiet and Serene and you can hear the waves hitting the beach at night. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate myself and my dog. I am staying an extra night because this place is amazing! #metime #cozy

Wasn't very impressive for what they are charging. Toilet was literally built for a toddler, shower head had low water pressure , sliding door was not even opening, and the room was hot and and stuffy. They must be rationing towels, and toilet paper. We only got one roll and two towels for two nights. Still have not received any refund as we were charged an extra 150 bucks on top of what we paid per night. We probably won't be back here anymore. Not for almost a grand. No thanks.

Fantastic spot with nice views. Got a Roman Spa Suite for a romantic getaway, and the hot tub in the room filled with completely brown water. I told the front desk agent and he didn't care at all. I emailed them and they said "every place in Bodega Bay is like this" (lol no, they're not) and "if you had checked the tap water it would have looked the same" (I actually did, and no it didn't). They offered me a discount in the form of taking off the sales tax and never replied to my follow up that the tap water was not also brown. Also, the basic cable TV channels were all scrambled. Not a huge deal, I don't go to places like this to watch TV, but it was 80% unwatchable.Really wanted to like this spot but there were too many huge problems and too few helpful employees.

Our family stayed in The Pelican housing. The room has such an incredible view of the bay, vaulted ceilings, two queen beds, a large bathroom, and plenty of seating. According to my son, it is the most beautiful hotel room we have yet to stay in!(Unfortunately they do not have a restaurant BUT offer a continental breakfast from 7:30 AM until 9:30 AM)I highly suggest eating at The Lucas Wharf restaurant!!! Like you should really try it! They are open until 9:00PM, perfect for dinner!

Great place to stay. The room was very comfy, clean and had plenty of space. We had a cute little balcony with a great view. The owner was amazing and funny. We'll definitely stay here again.

NOT KID FRIENDLY. We booked a room on their website for 2 adults and 2 kids. We listed the ages of our kids. When we arrived at the hotel we were told that kids were not allowed in upstairs rooms. Why did you book us an upstairs room? We told you we had 2 kids! The website mentions pet friendly rooms but never mentioned that children are only allowed in downstairs rooms. So frustrating because we drove all this way only to be turned away because of our children!!!!!Karen s excuse was that she emailed us twice and called us once to ask about the kids. Karen- We shouldn t have been able to book the room in the first place. On a positive note- Karen did try to find us another hotel in town but their wasn t one available and pointed us to Santa Rosa about 30 minutes in land to try to find another hotel. Thanks Karen!
