Joes Tires charges 3% for using your credit card for new tires. So for two tires thats $7.00+ also try to charge more than the original quote, and for road repair, which means they will repair the new tire if you get a nail in it etc check the receipt!!

These guys are serly and unpleasant. Tried to charge me $150 more than estimate until I pointed out their mistake. Told me rim was bent and need a new wheel. Took it to Don's Tires who inspected and said nothing needs to be done. Stay away!

I left my home in the Berkeley Hills this morning and suddenly noticed that one of the tires on my Toyota showed low tire pressure. I drove to the Toyota dealer in downtown Berkeley to see what they could do, and one of the staff from Joe's Tires was also standing at the counter. He suggested that I drive to Joe's Tires to see what was the matter. I took his advice. I was assisted immediately by another staff person. I was told that due to a small nail in the tire, the tire was losing pressure. He inflated the tire, and I drove home. My husband removed the nail. At no time, did anyone from Joe's Tires ask for compensation. We were very pleased!

Waited 10 mins to get assistance , and was told they can t help until Friday. Who wants to wait 2 days with a flat tire lol. Stop functioning like a barber shop! Bad experience!!

I was having an issue with my 2012 cadillac srx cranking because of the brakes being stuck, so i researched google to find the answers and one of the blog posts from Joe s Tires in Berkeley, CA really saved my day! I reside in Georgia, so this was a big relief for me by this being my only means of transportation! Thank you guys so much for the knowledge you shared that fixed my issue! You rock!

I replaced my tires, but my car was shaking badly past 60MPH. I stopped by Joe s and explained the issue to Titl who sets at the reception and he immediately suggested my wheels were imbalanced. Although he was fully booked, he still accommodated me because of my busy schedules when I explained myself. Man they balanced my wheels and now it feels like a brand new car, no wobbling none whatsoever at any speed. Titl is an amazing guy, super knowledgeable about their work, very polite, understanding and professional. They changed me a reasonable price as well.

Beyond recommended. My car was really banged up and needed a lot of attention. Went to a few other spots around town to get some quotes and ended up getting charged for some of those quotes. Brought it into Joe s Tires and honestly, some of the best and most genuine people in there really looking out for their customers. This is the first shop I ve taken my car and don t feel like I m being overcharged for anything. This shop has the greatest customer service and quality of service for cars. They kept in close contact with me to keep me updated about my car meanwhile it was in their control which made me super happy to know it was in good hands.

I ve been here twice for tire repair - once for an older vehicle and once having been sent over by Toyota for our new vehicle. I don t know if I would recommend them - always costs more than you d expect. The service is kind of cold and distant. Both times I ve been here, and any time I ve called them to ask something about having them look at something - I am just left with a bad taste in my mouth. They do the work and all, but cost a lot, talk you into the more expensive option, call you boss (who wants to be called boss?), and I have had ambiguous lingering problems arise with my vehicle after their work.

Took my car in because I had a slow leak with the hopes it would be an easy $35 patch... alas, that was not in the cards for me. I ended up having to get a whole new tire but they were nice about it, did it super fast, and assured me that I didn't need to replace the other tires. Always appreciate it when people don't try to upsell you. They have a little seating area with an outlet for you to wait, or you can go to TJ's and get a little shopping done.

I had a pretty terrible accident where my tire popped crossing the Bay Bridge, and I kept driving my car until the first exit. The rim was decimated, and I was really worried about the axle. Joe's Tires did a terrific job, thoroughly checking everything, fixing the sensors and redoing the calibrations--all at a very fair price. My car drives perfectly well. Highly recommend these guys!

2018:Great Guy. Best deals and service when it comes to tires.2019: Came for Oil Change. Got an appointment instantly. Also got my undercover protection tied up and free tire rotation. 2020: Did Oil change and alignments. My car rocks smooth again. 2021-2022: Came for Oil Change. My appointment didn t show up in the system but the Guys there were nice enough to take me as a walk-in and I was out shortly. I can feel the clear difference in before and after the Oil Change. I am very happy with them.You come here and get disappointed. That never happens. Best place for you Car Care.

Today I got off work early and headed to Joe's based on yelp and google reviews. The staff person said that my tires are still under warranty and that it would take 45 minutes to address the problem. I left the shop and returned 45 minutes later to find several staff people standing in the office chatting and my car parked exactly where I left it. The guy who checked me in motioned for someone to go deal with my car but I had to pick up my child from school so I couldn't wait another 45 minutes. No service. Super frustrated to have lost an hour I really could have used. Note in case your time is valuable too.

I suspected Joe s Tires lost my wheel key last time I got my wheels swapped. Weather they did or not was never even the question, instead they moved to fix the problem as quickly as possible and were able to get my wheels swapped free of charge on the spot. The employees were all very nice and helpful. I will keep coming back for all my needs!! Joe s Tires Berkeley is great!

The team at Joe's Tires is exceptional, honest and very hard working people!This is my go to place whenever misfortunes fall upon my vehicle. Unlike many other tire shops I have been to, they are truly working for the benefit of the customers and not looking to make a quick dollar. They are efficient and mindful of customers' time. I don't know how they do it?!If you are looking for a tire shop for your car's or cars' needs, look no further! The team at Joe's Tires will be there to assist you. Truly a gem to have them in the city of Berkeley!

I recently went in to replace/install new wheels and tires and also had a wheel alignment for my SUV. Great job and service (Carlos and Tito). They had also reached out to me about replacing old lug nuts for out of concern of my safety and others around me on the road. Yes, they were old and needed replacing. Can't beat service like that. Good pricing and job was done exactly in the time frame they had mentioned. I will return to Joe's Tires, no question.

Drove here on a flat with a nail in my tire and no appointment - Joe s got me out in an hour for a very reasonable price. Excellent customer service, and nice local cafes to chill at while you wait. Totally recommend.

They did an amazing job. I came in with an idea of what was going wrong, but they still walked me through every aspect of the repair and made sure I understood what I was paying for. I ll definitely come back here.

I was on my way to San Fransisco from Sacramento and my tire got a flat. I had to change my tire but wanted to fix the one I had. I called Joes tires 15 minutes before they closed and explained what happened. I asked them if I could come by and could be there in 10 minutes, 5 minutes before they closed, to which they happily agreed. They stayed after hours to make sure I was taken care of and they did an excellent job. I would highly recommend coming here.

Car feels like new! Got new tires and an alignment, they were very professional. I have had alignments before and didn't really notice, but I think they actually did a great job on this one, the car drives noticeably different. I honestly did not shop around much, but I think what they were charging was fair and no surprises at checkout.

Joe saved the day for me. I'm 2,400 miles from home, I got a nail in my tire on a Saturday night so it's now Sunday when few tire store are open. The very friendly guys at Joe's made it no problem, taking care of it in less than 30 minutes. Yes, I know I lucked out with them having a technician just finishing up when I got there. But still the kind treatment was exemplary and I am grateful.

It's a shame I have to revise my review, but my latest experience is totally unacceptable.I've patronized Joe's Tires for the past two years or so. I even wrote positive reviews on Yelp and Google, like the owner Jose requested.I brought my car in on a Sunday to have the tires I purchased here rotated. I was told they couldn't get to it for at least an hour but I was in no hurry so I dropped the car and got some lunch.I got a call about 70 minutes later saying they couldn't and wouldn't rotate the tires because they're so unevenly worn. I was told that "even though you did the rotation every 5,000 miles, you should have had two alignments done during that period" and that's why the shoulders are wearing more quickly. Okay, so why in all the times that I brought my car in for rotation did no one mention this?I had an alignment done when I purchased the tires here originally, but not�once since then did anyone mention I needed an alignment, and I certainly never rejected the service. I've only ever had these tires serviced by Joe's Tires.Now I'm being told I need 4 new tires, and luck would have it, they're having a "buy 3, get 1" deal at the moment. Why on Earth would I continue to do business here when they clearly dropped the ball? Jose couldn't even be bothered to respond to my email.They don't have the best prices, but despite this I was happy to come here to support a small business, but they aren't even! They're owned by the stealership, Toyota of Berkeley.Save your money and go to Costco, or if you want to support an ACTUAL local business, Don's Tires.Previous review:I've always received super prompt and friendly service from everyone here. I could probably save a few bucks buying from Costco or Walmart tire centers but have you ever tried to pop in for a tire rotation there?! What a nightmare. Joe's Tires always has time for me and any wait time is negligible (Trader Joe's is right next door, get some shopping done). I drive 40-50k miles a year, so getting my tires rotated regularly is a must. In the year I've had my latest set of tires from Joe's I've had them rotated 7 times(!) free of charge with no appointment necessary. Seriously love these guys (and lady).

Came in for a pre-purchase inspection before purchasing a used car from someone off Facebook Market place. They did the inspection in under an hour and thoroughly explained everything needed for the car. The seller then unexpectedly backed out of the sale and Joe's Tires went above and beyond and refunded me for the inspection. I highly reccomend them, incredible customer service. Thank you!

DO NOT GO HERE THEY WILL OVER CHARGE COMPARED TO OTHER AUTO SHOPS IN THIS AREA . I SPEND 200$ just to get a tire change and to inspect is 100$ my care Firestone does inspection for 10$ !!!!!! They constantly change their prices check other places around before EVER going here .

I am in and out of the tire shop a lot as a small business owner that depends on my car for my livelihood. I m also a single mom and so anything that costs money and takes time can be a bit scary. No matter what is going on, the folks at Joes Tires always take care of me in such an easy way. The timing always works out, they always fit me in, and they always get me back on the road again ASAP. It s a big busy world and knowing that I have Joes Tires on my team makes me feel like I ve got a good buddy that I can count on.

I wish I could put 0/5 stars. My Honda Accord had a flat tire a few days back, so I came to have they ordered and replaced a new tire for me. Until that time, I had totally replaced 3 tires at the store. The day after, the tire light on the dash board turned on. I came back to have them to check, then they asked me to replace the good remaining tire to have the light turn off. I didn't want to see the light on everyday, so I followed their advice to have the 4th tire replaced. As of today Nov 1, 2021, just 2 days after the tire replacement, the light is on again, so I came back the store to complain. One guy, that I think the store manager, said that the 4th one is not as same as the others, and that is the reason the light is on. What???? He refused to double check and said that I have to replace all new 4 ttires at once to turn the light off!!!. I can't believe he could tell me that. Very frustrated.

Fast and friendly. I just brought in a tire (loose, I was driving on a spare). I was going to just pick up the loose one and put in on myself as I was in a bit of a hurry. They insisted they install it, and could get it done in just a few minutes. Thank god I did, the tech spotted a shiny big ole nail in the shoulder of a different tire and the sidewall starting to bulge a bit. Their attention to detail may have saved lives.

I'm sorry to have to edit a previously good review on this shop but I think the shop now has a different business philosophy, one of trying to upsell its customers on buying new tires instead of fixing tires that are simply in need of a plug or patch.This is the second time that I've brought my car in to have punctures in tires plugged, only to be told they were unrepairable. Other shops told me that the tires were repairable and the repairs were done with no problem.When I came in this time I talked to a guy at the desk and told him that in addition to the punctured rear tire that my steering wheel had recently developed a slight wobble at highway speeds, something that I speculated as being due to a slight imbalance of the tires. Before even looking at the tires he stated that I probably needed new tires up front. When he looked at the tires front and rear he said that they couldn't rebalance the front tires nor repair the rear tire, as there wasn't enough tread left on them.I measured the tread depth of my tires and found the front tires with about 50% tread remaining on them, and the rears having about 38% left; the tire industry guidelines recommend that tires with less than 20% tread left not be repaired in the event of a puncture.I went to Don's Tire and had no problem in getting the puncture plugged and the front tires rebalanced, with the result that my car again runs smoothly at highway speeds.If I had followed the advice of this shop it would have cost me about $400 to replace each of the tires. The cost of the repair and rebalancing at the other shop was $55. Needless to say, my next set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires will not be bought from this shop.

We went there with a slow leak and they told us it wasn t fixable sidewalk puncture and had ordered a new 190$ tire already without asking us first. They tried to pressure us into having them fix it but we left to Dons tires down the street. Their diagnosis: nail puncture and fixed it for 35$Not okay to cheat customers like that.
