I have been going here for my automotive needs for many years. Great service, reasonable prices, and great staff. Early, the store manager is simply awesome. Very service and customer oriented. As usual, the service was impeccable. Today. I took my car in around 10: 00am and had it back around noon. Sometimes they're really busy but they always try to take care of everybody as expeditiously as possible.

I went in with a slow leaking tire and they discovered there was a sidewall puncture and were unable to fix it. Early ordered me a tire and had it arrive the next day. He contacted me as soon as it arrived and we made an appointment to have it installed that same day which took maybe 45 minutes - best tire experience ever! Everyone there is fast, efficient and friendly. I will definitely be going back for all future tire repairs/replacements.

These guys always take good care of my vehicles when I need service. I ve never left them a review but it s the least I can do for the consistency they always show. Professional and straight to the point. Joe and the rest of the guys working there have been doing a stand up job upholding the Big O brand!

A few months ago I got 4 new tires, brakes, and rotors put on by this place. Today, my car is at another shop getting new pads and new front rotors put on. This has all happened in about 15K miles. Now, I understand that pads are going to wear down that quickly but rotors? Everything I read says 30-70K and I was raised thinking 30-60K you need rotors so why do I have to get new ones now? Did Big O even replace my rotors 5 months and 15K miles ago? They said they could replace my backup light but when I picked up my car they did not have it fixed. They charged me for it though. When I asked the person when they could have it fixed he gave me an indeterminate time frame, told me to bring my car back in and they'll get it fixed. Why do I have to bring it back AGAIN? Shouldn't you have fixed it when I asked you to? Then a few months go by and I need to get a new tire, there's a mysterious leak. Big O says that they cannot fix the tire, something about showing "run flat damage." Again, I drove the car for maybe 5 miles and kept the PSI about 20 before taking it to Big O to have them do some warranty repair so, was that really the case? The tire looked the same to the other 3 on my car with no damage so...is it really all a scam to get you to pay $150 for a new tire every time you go there? I took that same tire to another shop and they patched it for $30. I'm not sure if it's all Big O tires or just this location but they have lost my trust entirely. If you go here(I recommend against it) be ready to pay for every little service and don't believe the "warranty." Find a non-franchised local tire shop instead, Berkeley has a bunch of them.When you leave a mechanic you should never have more questions that answers and Big O has created more questions for me than any other mechanic or tire shop has ever in my life.

Great customer service! Needed my tire repaired. Easy to make an appointment online. Got there and the technician figured out it could not be fixed because of where the damage was, ordered a replacement tire and the following day it was replaced. No fuss no muss. Definitely the place to go in the Berkeley/North Oakland area for tire service.

I was excited to have my car serviced at this location because of the positive reviews and ability to book an appointment online. An appointment is pointless though if the time is not respected. My car was not brought back for 2.5-3 hours and I left the location 3.5 hours after my appointment time after just getting my tires rotated. The price was great but paying 3 hours to get that price provided too high of an opportunity cost. I won't be back and wouldn't recommend this to anyone who doesn't have the time to sit around or go somewhere else while they wait.

FN WILL NEVER USE THIS PLACE AGAIN!! I usely dont post bad reviews but this was unacceptable because I frequent a Big O tires in Rancho Cordova on Sunrise on a regular for the last 4-5years. Made an appointment for Monday 9am in-person the Thursday before.. I show up at 850am, my car not done til 1130am.. Front desk guy tells me they short handed, I seen atleast 8-9 guys. What was odd is that you took my car in the back at 930, i took the picture below at 10am?? The guy changing a tire instead of doing my oil change??? never made an appointment before at a Big O and it took 2half hrs.. and you think you did me a favor by waving the $16 dollar oil disposal fee??? If you got free time give... then this is where you need to go. Talk to another guy made an appointment for 1 tire change for 10am and that took hr.. how the hell you got out before me???

I'm writing this review as I sit in the lobby. I called in to make an appointment yesterday for a screw in my tire. I was told by the person answering the phone that no appointment was necessary. It is first come first serve from 7 to 9 am. I show up at 6:45 am and am the first one here. The person checking me in tells me that there are some cars from last night that need to be finished first then I'm next in line. He tells me that it will probably be 9 am before it's done. All fine. I return at 9 and my car hasn't moved, tire still flat. I tell the guy at the front desk that I'm ready to pick up. He walks in back and assigns my work order to a tech who comes out a clearly looks at my car for the first time. Counter guy comes back and says oh we are bringing it in now. It's clear that the employees here could not care less about their customers time. If I could go back in time and not spend $1200 on new tires from this place would.

Great team working together to satisfy customers. Brought my car in for oil change without appointment. They were able to get it done in is less than 45 mins. The store manager Mr. Turner showed his professionalism and efficiency. Highly recommend this BigOTires!

4 months Big O installed 4 tires. A few days ago we hit a pothole and bent both sides of the rim. Big O cheerfully fixed both the flat and the rim under their lifetime warranty, in a couple of hours. I am very pleased.

This is for the Berkeley, CA location on san pablo. Great service, great staff, excellent quality of service. The best price in town too. They go the extra mile! My car feels like it's driving on a smooth, soft cloud now. Thanks Big O Berkeley. When the time comes, I'll be back :)

The guys there, took, such great care of me. They were able to find a nail in my tire, and I didn't have to buy a whole tire. I appreciate their time and support.

Had a bad experience but made a complaint to management and my problem was resolved with no additional charges. Good customer service is alive and well in this chain. It was refreshing and very much appreciated as I am an ignorant customer of automobile repairs. I wasn't treated well but I was heard and corrections were made. Will always go to Big O for my auto needs.

They got us in on the afternoon before Thanksgiving to fix a flat caused by a nail in the tire - at no expense because we bought our tires here 2 years ago! Great service and friendly folks.

Were able to patch my tire and done in less than estimated time frame of 1hr 45 min (done in an hour!) and appreciate they did not try to upswell when asked them to check 2 tires (1 being the one they patched).

My initial call to order tires and a battery seemed to fall through a black hole, but when I called and found this out, Marvin helped me out and he was so nice and helpful. When I came in to have the tires replaced, although they were super busy, I think they bumped me up as priority because I had to wait. It took only an hour and half and I was happily on my way. Great service and a special shout out to Marvin. I won t mention the guy who took my credit card and never ordered my tires but I m sure it was a mistake on his part.

I found that the different technicians I worked with were honest, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I always feel very comfortable bringing my car to the shop.

If you have to go to this place, ask for Andy, who is pleasant, helpful and responsive. I had to deal with another guy who made it his mission to mislead and not be forthcoming with information. He pressured me to sign off on the estimate without reviewing it. Which seemed unethical. He would also purposefully delay getting the work done and be rude at all times. Even when the work was done he kept not signing me out. Eventually I had to ask Andy to sign me out so I could get out of there. It was extremely unpleasant to deal with this person. His behavior was completely different to all the white folks. I won t ever go back here. But want to acknowledge Andy.

Shop initially couldn't find or didn't want to honor free tire rotation and rebalancing that comes with their top-of-line Big O Legacy AS+ BW tires. Also installed new wipers. They didn't order them until I came to pick up vehicle after waiting for their call telling me everything was ready. This prompted another hour-plus wait. 4+ hours total, and $90 out of pocket.

It's been an interesting 6 weeks dealing with Big-O. I initially bought my tires here about 1.5 years ago and it was hassle-free. Loved it. Ace. Came in for an alignment and (free) tire rotation. Picked up the car hours later, no alignment done. Brought it back the next week, alignment done, now the car and handle vibrates and something is off with the tires. Easy fix, right?! Alas. 5 or so visits later, many of which were full days of "we didn't notice anything wrong," I've spent $400 replacing a wheel rim, I've been told the wheel bearings, tires, belt, etc. are all "fine," and my car still vibrates and shimmies like it's 1975. I've given up with them and am moving on to greener pastures (if I don't Chappaquiddick off the road before then). Summary: still very much recommend for tire purchases, avoid for everything else.

I made a last minute oil change appointment by phone on Friday afternoon. We worked with Andy who thoroughly inspected our car and made the necessary calls for our tires to be replaced under warranty. Overall this was a great experience and our car was finished before we expected.

It really takes effort to combine this much incompetence with recalcitrance and a refusal to accept accountability for relentless negligence, from the trivial to the major it s impossible to cover it all. First, they took down my phone # wrong, though I corrected them twice. So they then couldn t find my order or appointment, but then also didn t fix it (they didn t even have a real area code attached, didn t think to say we can t find your #, let s update it, so when they called to tell me the car was finally ready, they got no one). Appointments mean nothing (after wasting 15+ minutes when they couldn t find my prepay, they said we have multiple appointments ahead of you and it will take 3 hours to change your tires. Then, 5 miles after I left, my tire pressure warning came on, so I had to take another 1.5 hours off work to go back; they have no clue what they re doing. After they allegedly fix it, it comes back on again 5 miles later on the bridge. I call in, annoyed, and their beyond rude manager has the nerve to tell me, without knowing anything or looking at the car, it s my sensor s fault (which is beyond offensive and absurd my sensor never went off in prior 7 years, so it suddenly went bad twice 5 miles after they changed my tires?) and when I objected he actually hung up on me. I had to bring it in again (another wasted 2+ hours, when they now finally admitted they had adjusted it wrong), so I lost overall more than a half day of work because of their negligence. They also fraudulently try to sell you things you objectively don t need (e.g., they actually had the nerve to tell me I should get an oil change because I needed one soon, when even by the car s absurdly gouging measure I had 60% left on my oil and I knew I wouldn t need one for 6+ months). I wouldn t trust anything this place says or does, and would never again deal with a place managed by someone like this utterly irresponsible and reprehensible.

Kind employees but had a seven hour wait time for a tire change and alignment with an appointment so I had to miss work. These people are clearly overworked & understaffed.

Took my car in to get new tires put on. Two weeks in the shop. While it was there the back window was broken and replaced (no charge). When I went to pick it up I asked about the damage to my upholstery which was pretty obviously where a back window had been laid for a days. The man i asked about this, Mr Johnson, not only denied the company's responsibility, and not only lied about which window had been broken, not realizing the other mechanic who took my pay had already discussed with me which one broke, but he was very loud and aggressive and patronizing toward me, arguing things like, saying the damage was not there before I took in my car two weeks prior is the same thing as accusing them for a little damage that I have on the car over the back tire. My car came home, And went right back. I had another mechanic (whose shop doesn't do changes) listen to it, and he said that although he wouldn't work on it because it was Big O tires ' responsibility, there was definitely something different and wrong. Big O looked at it, shifted some things. Sect it back home. It still grinds weird, sounds different and feels... Gratier. I know they couldn't get the car off the lift until they got the lift fixed one of the many days it was there, but I don't know what caused this outcome. I'm truly bummed. I just took a cross country drive moving here, and I loved traveling in this car, but looking toward my upcoming trip, also quite far, I'm nervous about if the car will even be okay now. Really, really bummed. I guess if you won't trust them to be honest with the more serious work, don't ask them to do something even as simple as a tire change.

The service folks were nice and efficient. The price to get both brake pads and rotors for front and back was $1700 which I find to be completely unreasonable especially since I was quoted six or 700 for each side. I never fully trust any auto mechanic business. However, my brakes were done and I'll be safer on the road.been coming here for a long time with different cars, and I know inflation is real, but that is too too much. Don't know if I'll be coming back here.

Very helpful. When we realized I needed all 4 tires replaced and not just 2 they got a delivery order out same day so I could have my car back that evening. Everyone at the counter was knowledgeable and friendly.

Had a slow leak in one of my tires and the csr told me all my tires were bald with no tread. My tires seemed fairly meaty. Ended up spending $800. Not sure if I really needed four new tires or if Big O was making a sale. Also I was told that the new tires that I purchased don t have a warranty if I hit a pot hole or depending on the area of a nail in the tire. This contract doesn t make you feel too good about making a big purchase.

Great service, great prices. I stopped by after popping one of my tires in the late afternoon. They were able to get me in so quickly and tried to get me the best price possible. I will definitely be coming back here again!
