It's an exceptionally awesome business, I can't recommend them enough. Detailed, color-coded estimates with pics, videos, notes and smart, kind and personable service technicians that call you and talk through everything, keep you up to date, never ever leave you guessing. Sure maybe they're not the cheapest, but absolutely worth every penny. They're attentive, smart, honest, friendly and do fantastic work. Thanks so much for taking care of my baby!

It s the second service. My car s window was smashed by thief. I brought my car at the end of the day when the shop was about to close. They were very kind to let me keep my car there for safety. The next 2 days after their order for the window replacement came, I got my car with a good surprise discount included in some extra services.I m so glad that Argonaut Garage had moved into my neighborhood!

Our check-engine light came on just when we needed the car most, and our usual garage was closed for the holidays. Argonaut folks not only fixed the check engine light, they performed a host of much-needed repairs in a timely manner. It was all done the very next day, and now we have our car for our grandchild's visit, confident that we are safe and secure. All in all, a very pleasant and convenient experience.

Argonaut is the best shop that I have worked with. I have an older Japanese truck that I love and they have done a great job upgrading and keeping it running. Before coming to Argonaut I had lots of trouble with slow, unreliable services. Argonaut has been on time and on point for every service so far. What really stands out about this shop is their communication. They have outstanding service writers that keep me updated in real time and are happy to talk through any issues. Not the cheapest shop, but they quality of work more than makes up for it. 10/10 experience.

SCAMMY... save yourself money and time and dont come here. I found out too late. I was tricked by their overly friendly fake transparency- They were very "communicative" and used photos and updates. BUT they charged me $450.00 just to run a diagnostic on my car and kept it for a week. A 1989 Toyota pick up truck. They enthusiastically ensured me they were not afraid to look at what the issue might be with my idling engine.. They then told me they couldn't figure out where the leak was and it either needed a new head gasket or an engine rebuild. They told me it would be $20,000.00 for an engine rebuild. This makes no sense because a brand new 22RE engine including labor should be around $7000.00. Save yourself the money. Go to Arts Automotive or Fred's Wrench house. Much more honest shopS with integrity. The reviews speak for themselves. Wish I read them before I came here.

This was my first visit to Argonaut and I am impressed. Great staff communication, letting me know exactly what would be done, and what might need to be done in the future. They will now be my go-to place for all my car servicing needs. Highly recommend!

I ve been going to argonaut garage for the past five years to fix and maintain my 2000 Toyota RAV4 and I highly recommend them.Through the years I ve done everything from replacing struts to fixing exhaust issues to 5k mile service. The staff has always been friendly and helpful and the service is always fantastic.I really appreciate how thorough their inspections are with a high level of detail captured so that I can track issues over time. They are always willing to explain why they are doing something and talk through the tradeoffs. And they are highly responsive on phone, email, and text.With Argonaut I feel confident that my vehicle can live long past 250k miles.

I had a great experience with Phil getting a second opinion on a cooling system maintenance diagnostic. As an IT professional I really appreciate the transparency of Argonaut s diagnostics, complete with photos and video and modern communication tooling, paired with charismatic folks at the front desk. Argonaut was phenomenal with inspecting and identifying the problem with my electric Fiat. Very professional, efficient and modern. Only minor issue is that because they had to test drive it over two days they returned my electric car to me with only 8 miles left. So I had to rearrange my plans completely after picking it up and frantically search for a charging station. If they work on EV s I think they should have a charging station in house and deliver the vehicle fully charged on pickup.Service: Electrical repair

Called to schedule an oil change and nothing else. Dropped my car off and staff informs me that they have a mandatory safety inspection before they can change the oil. I didn't ask for this but I guess it's part of the service so I agree (my fault).During the course of the inspection, their tech removes my tires to check the brakes (for the inspection) and one of the lug nuts was "cross-threaded by the previous shop." The removal of the cross-threaded lug nut ends up snapping the lug nut and now the vehicle is inoperable unless I pay $800 to have the whole hub replaced. The "previous shop" is one that I trust, and have never had issues with but now I'm out $800 because Argonaut "needed" to conduct a safety inspection when all I came in for was a simple oil change. I politely brought this up with the front desk and they explained the situation and I was told that Argonaut "isn't liable."I called the previous shop and of course they deny cross threading anything.Argonaut seems like a very professional shop and everyone was very polite but this experience left a really bad taste in my mouth as it was my first time coming to them for service. Seems to me like the inspection is just a way for them to find things to charge customers for.

Best auto shop in the Bay. The staff is amazing, they stand behind their work, and they work on everything. Squeezing money out of everything I have a bad battery that should have been replaced under warranty through this dealer but yet they want to charge me a $20 diagnostic fee on a battery before replacing it?? Come on guys you can do better

I was impressed with the level of communication, from the person who greets you when you arrive to the person who brings your car when you leave -really an amazing team. I appreciated knowing that my car was getting the service I had requested, and also assessed for issues that need attention. These were prioritized in detail, and Hussein was wonderful in walking me through them. I feel that I made the right choice in selecting the work that I want to have done, and made an appointment for the following week. I feel like my older car is in good hands, and will last a long time! I would recommend this business! Good marketing with direct mail piece offers for discounts on many services.I had a noise I wanted to check out and identify what the issue was and how much to repair. The initial estimate was only $100 for a drive test to listen to the noise and identify the repair options. They came back with a laundry list of items and some were completely made up like rear brakes. I had four new struts replaced and brakes done on this vehicle and they tried to sell me on more work this was needed. The estimate did not include costs for eac section so the estimate was useless. Done with the argonauts

Visited Argonaut for a city-sponsored cat converter etching service. They were fast, efficient, and courteous, and I sensed pride and joy in their work. Unusually, this garage maintains a LeMONS-league race car, and they rehabilitate I-give-up cars for people who need one. Very high Yelp reviews, by the way.

My mother referred me to Jason here, she couldn't say enough about his skill, thoroughness, etc. So I brought my car in for its first post-warranty routine service and a growling noise, They discovered that the wrong transmission fluid had been put in and had wrecked the transmission. They have video and audio proof. So the dealership will replace the transmission. Elaine at Argonaut helped me understand the situation beautifully. I will be a faithful Argonaut customer.

Helpful, Hardworking and Honest!Our car had several unknown issues all at once. Several friends recommended Argonaut with high praise. The Argonaut team was clear how much a basic assessment would be and what it would involve, they were attentive to our concerns on additional items to review. They kept us updated throughout the day and walked us through their assessment at the end of the day. They provided detailed recommendations on what to prioritize and expert explanations of any issues. Great experience! We continue to Highly Recommend.

I happened to find this business by googling car places near me and I decided to go with them because of the polite customer service over the phone! When I first arrived, I felt completely 100% my car was going to be handled with car. When the inspection was taken place, photos are taken and explained to you in a very simple manner so you can understand. I plan to get all my future car work done here! I have a 2008 dodge avenger and I am originally from the East Coast, so moving here it has been hard to find someone reliable. I have FINALLY found someone I can trust! I highly recommend this business.

I had a fantastic experience at argonaut garage. I came in same day with no appointment and they were able to accommodate me with no issues at all. I came back to a short list of recommendations for future maintenance with solutions that weren't just "pay us to fix it", which I really appreciated. The whole office had great vibes and everyone was pleasant to deal with. Overall extremely impressed with the level of service and professionalism here.Services: Tire rotations, Oil change

This is a very professional shop with strong management. This was evident from the crew on the phones to the guy parking my car. My service rep Hussein was upfront about service fees and let me know as soon as my car was ready for pickup. The rates were reasonable and they worked with me on the job to make it work for me. Extra points for the classic jukebox inside too.I was sick of my Hyundai dealer and I am happy and lucky to have a competent crew down the street.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenance, Auto brake replacement
