I had the worst experience staying in a hotel in my life. The level of cleanliness is very bad, the water basins are clogged, and the management does not care.

My sunroof stopped working and it was stuck open. I live in Oakland and have street parking, not an ideal situation. To make matters worse, I work in person in Redwood City. I had to take a WFH day and hope that I could get someone to fix my sunroof that same day. I went to several places before I found American Auto Upholstery and Glass. Joe fixed my sunroof the same day and the price was super reasonable. Get service and great work. I can't believe that I have lived in this city for this long and just discovered him. Joe is simply the best. I dropped my car off for a window/leak repair. Though I need to go back for another session, Joe managed to make significant changes to stop the window leaks. And his prices seem almost too reasonable!My car has had serious window leaks for the last few years. Other shops seemed to not find a solution to my problem. Joe checked it out and quickly estimated the situation. Turns out the front windshield was improperly sealed, which led to rust and a leak that is most likely flooding my car.Simply put, Joe is the guy to repair all and any Auto/Window Repairs in addition to his upholstery.

I just got my car back and the replaced headliner looks perfect. Joe gave me a great quote and had my car back to me the next day. Next time I won't even bother calling around to competitors - this is the place to go. Excellent service, fast turnaround, good value. Joe is truly the kindest, best auto repair-man I have ever encountered. I went to him for help with my non-functioning driver seat adjustor, and he fixed it for me when no one else would even look at my car! He barely even took 30 minutes.

Joe is the best!!! My window was bashed in and I was so stressed ,it happened Sat. Night so I had to wait till Monday . Joe has the best personality and super funny and let me no not to worry.I brought the car in at 11:20 and was told replacing my window would take 1.5 hours ........ it was done in 1/2 hour!!! And 1/3 the price of safelite!! I recommend this place hands down!! Love love love Joe!!!!!!!!!!

I needed a custom redesign of my bucket car seat. The contour rise on each side of the seat were causing considerable difficulty to my right leg. I've had leg surgery that left me with metal hardware along the side of the right leg and the design of the seat pushed directly against that hardware. The pain was limiting my ability to drive. Toyota recommended Mr. Joe Abraham. When I spoke to him he said this was something he could fix. He said he could do the redesign and keep my original leather upholstery. I was very skeptical. I expected the seat to require new leather and the new design would make it look so much different from the passenger seat. I was dreading having to do this to my car. But I've just got back from picking up my car and I'm beyond excited. The seat has the same leather and no one would ever suspect that the seat has been changed at all. The best part was driving the 25 miles back home.That raised contour is completing gone. I got home with no pain at all. He did this in one day and his price was so much better than I expected. Thank you so much Joe.

Joe is THE best! My sunroof was leaking, he fixed it within and hour and didn't even charge me. He was honest, straight forward, knowledgable and kind. I would absolutely recommend him for this type of work. If you have sunroof issues, go see Joe.

Always a pleasure dealing with Joe as he has been around since the upholstery industry took shape. You may not realise it but Joe has done interiors for the rich and famous but being the humble guy he is you would never know. Get it done right the 1st time from someone who is to strive to succeed and make you happy, Joe is well the last true professionals.

Although a little slow, the work replacing seat covers on my 1979 fiat was fantastic! If you want high quality work done on your cars interior, Joe and his crew are the people to do it!!

Took my Mazda Miata here to get the glass window resealed to the convertible top. Everybody else told me I would need a whole new convertible top. Abraham was lovely. He said he ll see what he can do. He s owned this business for years.PS Just got the Mazda back! Very reasonable price and great craftsmanship! I don t need a new top. Abraham has been 31 years in Oakland doing auto upholstery work. Customers return, he tells me, often much older, and say hello. Abraham has a hard time remembering these repeat customers from when they were younger. They trust me, he says. Me too!

This is the best service I ve ever received. I had a convertible canvas top that needed a patch. The owner Joe took extra time to fix the rip. It is good as new. I will return for a tuneup and oil change.

Joe is a great guy. I dropped my motorcycle off to get the seats reupholstered. He finished within a few hours, gave me a great price, and performed great work. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Police report and BBB complaint filed.I brought my 2000 Corvette in to get the cushion replaced on the driver side seat. Joe did it for a reasonable price, $250 . During the process of putting the new cushion in, they snapped my seat adjust switch which is electronic. Since it has been broken I am unable to change seat positions while driving. The chair is stuck in one position . I have contacted Joe twice about fixing this over a month ago. Haven't heard back when it's going to be fixed. It needs to be fixed as it was in perfect working condition before I brought the car in.

My experience with American Auto Upholstery was extremely good. Joe was knowledgeable, conscientious, and a pleasure to do business with. And when there was a minor problem with the work, he made sure to make things right. I would absolutely recommend them again.

I took in my Mazda to have the ragtop replaced after checking prices in the San Joaquin Valley, near me. The places in Modesto wanted to charge more than I'd paid for the new roof. Abraham charged 75% of what my local shops wanted and he did a fantastic job! I'll bring the Mazda back to have the door locks and window regulators replaced.

This place SAYS it is open on Saturdays, but don't bother trying to take your car in on the weekend... they are "too busy" to even look at it. Unfortunately I can't speak to the quality of their work since I was turned away. They didn't even try to be nice about it either, I think their attitude was quite disrespectful. Busy or not, it's no excuse to be rude to a customer.

Some thief destroyed the canvas on my red Mustang and the gentleman who owns this place saved the day by helping me make sure I don t get rained on inside (forecasted for the following day). No appointments, he took me in like a stray cat. Bless his kind soul!

Bad service. Watches people come in their office doors while their working and not say anything after standing there for 5 min. They have door system where they can hear customers come in and out. Two old white guys inside that I felt disrespected by not even saying they will be right with me...
