I always take my car here for oil changes and smog tests. They re super fast, there s a cafe nearby to wait at, reasonable prices. Very good and friendly service too!

I came here for the first time after being quoted $98 at another nearby smog check location. I made an appointment online, arrived 20 minutes early and they finished before my appointment was even scheduled to begin. Jose was friendly, fast and had my paperwork neatly prepared for me. It only cost $40, less than half the cost of the first place I tried. I will definitely be back and recommend to others.

Jose and his crew is life saver!! Our car window s regulator is broken, and left the car window completely open. And it s been pouring and raining. We checked with 4-5 different places, none of which could help address the issue in time before the storm. Jose and his crew not only allowed us to park in the garage overnight when it was pouring and storming outside, but also got the part deliver and fixed our window within a few hours the next day life saver and just a good man. Please go visit his store for all your needs with your automobile vehicle, and he s going to be able to solve it for you. Highly, highly recommend!

Great service. Booked an appointment online, showed up, and they were done 15min later. I didn t pass the first time, so I had to drive around a bit and come back for a retest another day the whole thing cost only $40: $30 for the first test and $10 for the retest. Will be coming back for all my smog tests.

There's a reason why I've been coming to Jose ever since I met him four years ago. This is hands down the best and most honest mechanic in the bay area and I'll share two stories to illustrate why:I had a check engine light code on that I could not figure out what was wrong. No mechanic in the bay could figure it out, and not even Jose at the time. Fast forward a year I come in on another issue. He said "I had a dream about your car, and I think I know what the issue is". THE DUDE LITERALLY THOUGHT ABOUT MY CAR FOR A YEAR AND COULDN'T LET IT GO. Charged me a fair price and he was dead right.Another time I came in for a squeeking sound on my wheel. Thought it might've been the brakes. Without even stopping what he was doing, he takes one look at it and says "Your rotors are loose". I says "How do you know" and he says "You can tell by the way the rotors are worn on the front". So I ask him how much it's going to be to get it fixed and he tells me "why would you pay me to do that. You can do it yourself." Didn't charge me to diagnose it. Refused my business because he knew it was a job I could do myself.

This place is awesome! Guys here are super polite and helpful. I really did get my car smogged day-of with no appointment and the whole process took 20 min. I even lost my certificate and came back two days later to replace it and they re-printed and signed it no problem

Came here for an oil change. Although this place looks sketchy, the service is professional and fast. I used to go to Nissan dealership to get my oil changed, but they sometimes used the wrong oil. This place was spot on. The oil change was very quick. I only waited 19 minutes without having to schedule an appointment. when I went to the dealership I had to wait for at least an hour with appointment.Service: Oil change

Great quick and quality service. Those things come at a fairly high price. For full synthetic oil change and inspection it was $75, but i think if you need me fluids it's $80. Not an unreasonable price, but there are places for $50.

They told me that the oil change will take 30 minutes. When I asked why the banner says 15 minutes, they replied that it's just a name of the company. Following the same logic, you could open a grocery shop and call it 'Gas station', because it's just a name. It doesn't mean that you sell gas. Lol. Two stars because I didn't use their service. Maybe it's excellent? However, the whole place looked suspicious and not very professional. A bad first impression.

I had a great experience here. I had to get an oil change and smog test done on my car. The wait time was short, Jose and his team were very nice and answered any questions I had, and the prices were fair. They let me know that I needed to take a look at getting my transmission oil fluid changed next and offered a better price than my Honda dealership did. Overall, very pleased and will return again

The best oil change in the East Bay. Hands down. It takes no longer than 20 minutes, and after each visit they inform you about what to fix on your car (lights, oil leak, etc) but they don t try and sell you. Would highly recommend.

Quality work done on time.Have been a patron since they were on University Ave. I come for oil changes and smog checks - always quick, courteous service. Jose and others are knowledgeable, clearly explain what they observe about your car, and only suggest if something is really needed. The prices are fair, seem lower than at other places nearby.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Smog certification, Emissions testing, Oil change

I know this guy for more than 2 years now. He is very friendly and accommodating. He provides fast service in a competitive price. Smog check was only $30 including the certificate fee. I strongly recommend this place.

I did not expect to receive such great service and kindness from a smog check station. Not only is this place cheaper than most places I looked up in Berkeley and SF, but it took about 10 min. I mentioned in passing the rough day I was having and the owner gave me kind words of encouragement - hard to find genuine human connection from strangers these days. Oh and they also washed my windshield - front and back. Another pleasant surprise. I will definitely be back and wait as long as I need to if it means getting this service again.Service: Smog certification
