I am very pleased with the depth of knowledge and complete approach to my truck's rebuild performed at Chris's Engine & Auto Repair. Great communication as he got deeper into the project. Great job and on time.By way of an update: Chris's Engine & Auto Repair has serviced my truck's scheduled needs flawlessly and when I did have a 'roadside adventure', they were able to analyze and fix the problem quickly. My truck was only out of service for a short time. Great service and customer care. I have been taking my cars to this shop for 6 years. They explain the work they recommend and give options for us to consider. Chris and his staff were incredibly helpful when my car broke down on the highway with me and my 2 kids. They gave us a ride back to Walnut Creek, and the car was all fixed in a couple days. The price was very reasonable too. I would highly recommend this shop, and I will be back the next time I need help with my car even though they are a bit out of the way since I live in a different city. The longer drive is well worth it!

Had AAA. I was sent there and by far the best honest n caring car shop. Great service, great prices n great communication. I'll definitely go back n recommend Chris's shop. Thank you for a great and easy service. My car is running great

I originally went to Chris for oil change. Since I have used him for all vehicle maintenance. They do excellent work they always give u uptodate reports of service that might b needed in the future. They will give u a ride home if needed. If you want a professional that has been in the business for a long time go get your car fixed with Chris's Engine. I found Chris's from the AAA website, they're an approved shop. Zack mans the front desk, we spoke several times. He's kind, professional, knowledgeable and practical. I spoke to him on a Friday and he said they would order a part, it should arrive Tuesday and I could pick it up Tuesday. On Tuesday I got a call midday it was ready. Super impressed by the prompt turnaround and accuracy of the timeline.I also asked if he could have a technician check on my brakes since Big O told me they were practically metal to metal and would need new pads and rotors. The tech checked and zack let me know that wasn't the case, I had a few more months. He told me if a family member had asked him, this is what he would tell them. I really really appreciated the honesty and the compassion. They could have told me yes replace it all and just took the sale.I'll be recommending Chris's anytime I can and likely be back for my brakes (despite moving out of Benicia)Services: Electrical repair, Battery

The team (Chris, Denise, Zach and the techs) are always courteous, professional, knowledgeable of cars and truck, thorough diagnosis of your vehicle's problem(s) and lasting repairs. Excellent, friendly customer service. They promptly diagnosed 2 issues that my car (Volvo V40) had for the past 2 years, which other repair shops (including a Volvo dealership) had been unable to properly resolve. I'll be returning to this shop in the future for sure.

The only place I take my 1970 Camaro. This family really treats me well! I like that! Chris and his mechanics know my car. I really appreciate the way they talk me out of silliness and into other option that still give me performance without issues. My Camaro was an issue before these guys. And on the extremely rare occasion I have to use someone else ( I live over an hour away from shop) I am quickly reminded what a foolest mistake it was and end up driving there anyway. So, now I cut out the middle man. Awesome shop, maybe more expensive slightly but, car is done right. And awesome family and staff! They treat me like I am somebody.

I have always been pleasantly greeted by the staff, like they really care that I bring my car to them. They are professional and knowledgeable. I find their work excellent and will continue to use them for my car maintenance and repairs.

Got a bogus charge of 140 bucks to tell me my truck was dead....which I already knew. Hauled it to the dump and that was that. Not happy.
