Finding a good repair shop these days is hard, too many shops cheat their customers and trust is lost. My faith in an honest trustworthy shop has been restored. Dave is honest, tells you what the problem is without adding extra toppings to the bill. Downtown Auto Care has earned my business, their pricing is beyond fair and their work speaks for itself. Support Local!

First time here and I would absolutely, 10/10 recommend this place! Dave was very honest, polite and professional. Dave went above and beyond in addressing the issue with my 69 Impala!

Best mechanics in town, hands down. Took my car in for an engine misfire. It refused to misfire again while at the shop. Dave, the owner, refused to charge me for the diagnosis and told me to bring it back if/when it happened again.Been coming here for years and will keep on doing so in the future. 100% recommended for sure.

Highly impressed with the service!Just a heads up: Pay with cash or check. Do not pay with a card. The 3.5-4% card fee can be quite expensive. For me, it was about $24, which was quite distressing since I'm trying to raise a child on a part-time salary. But the owner was so kind and graciously reimbursed my fee out of his own pocket. So please consider using cash or check for ALL small businesses, since card companies prey on these businesses with their hefty fees. And why incur a fee when you could just take a minute to write a check for free?On another note: A+ service. They were able to take my car same-day, unlike three other auto shops that I had previously called. Then they ordered the part that I needed and did a complicated installation in just two business days! So grateful for Downtown Auto Care!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I watched the owner treat a woman like %#$@!! There was all this religious christian decor in the office yet he was rude to the woman. I watched the owner act cordial toward several men but he clearly hates women and it's sad! I will never again take my car to this shop. Sadly, there are too many so called "christian" men who act superior toward woman and a whole lot of them are abusive to their wife. (I'm a psychologist who works with men who feel inferior to women and therefore treat them like #@%&$. If you're a woman, DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP! THERE ARE OTHER AUTO SHOPS WHO WILL TREAT YOU WITH THE RESPECT YOU DESERVE.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I took my pickup in because I had idle issues and I replaced every part I could and it still didn't fix the issue. They had it for a few hours and were baffled at the problem too. Even though they had taken time to work on it they didn't charge me a penny because of the mistory problem it has. The people here are among the nicest I've met in the business. My sister and I were on a road trip and about to drive out into the desert when our car started overheating for seemingly no reason. Dave took a look at it right away. He suggested a restaurant for breakfast while we waited. He called a couple of hours later letting us know he fixed the problem and that he would feel comfortable sending his own daughters out on the road. Extremely good service, fast, reliable, and kind workers.

Marlene S.As a single woman with an old car, I needed a Dave in my life. Dave and his helpers have been caring for my car since 2004, and it runs like a good car should. They have maintained and replaced tires, battery, radiators, belts, headlight, taillights and just now brakes and never overcharged or neglected what was needed. I highly recommend Downtown Auto Care in Beaumont to everyone. Dave's the best.

Paid 55 dollars for him to tell me we need to get it towed somewhere else because he was unwilling to work with supplied parts.He was honest about what was wrong with the car, but 55 dollars for half an hour of work with no results is too high of a price for me and I m sure most people would feel the same way.Service: General repairs & maintenance

We where traveling on vacation and broke down on the freeway. We where towed into Downtown Auto Care for repair. It was the beginning of a holiday weekend. Dave was very friendly and reassuring. He took a look at the car ordered the part and said it could be fixed that day. He advised us of a place to get a bite to eat and how long the repair would take. After we returned within a short period the car was fixed and we where on our way. Dave and his business made an unpleasant situation pleasant and stress free..Thank you Dave.

Dave and Ryan top grade, top shape auto shop. Fuel filter on fi tech and distributor Bouncing around. Couple of jokes and I was on my way. I'm driving a 57 chevy to South Dakota. Dave answered questions about what to do on an issue, and I followed his advice to a T, saved a visit. I had called others and got high quotes. I will go see him for my next oil change, which is coming up! Would recommend to anyone.

very kind and honest people!This is a very long overdue review, but years ago my car broke down for the 2nd time on the way home from nevada and rolled down the freeway exit right in front of this shop.it was late and passed closing time, and I was a girl alone with a broken down car.A man working late pushed my car into the shop and charged my battery, and worked on my car the best he could to get me home safe. Both my family and I are very grateful and we owe him for his kindness

When I first moved to Beaumont in 2006 I asked several members of my church if they would recommend a good honest mechanic. All recommended Downtown Auto. Since that time Dave has maintained three cars for me (all with over 180,000 miles). I am now one of the church members that recommends Dave and Downtown Auto.

When that dreaded visit to a mechanic shop occurs, the last thing you want is to get to the counter and have a rude, unprofessional, or uninterested person helping you out. You WONT get that here. everyone is polite, helpful, and most off all knowledgeable. Prices are fair and the work is done right. As a frequent visitor (i have a lot of cars ive neglected over the years), i appreciate having a shop like this in town.

My first visit. Went there for a car alignment. He showed me how messed up my alignment was and it took him a while to fix it. He honest and affordable

I can't tell you how many times I have taken a vehicle into Downtown Auto thinking I needed something done only to have them tell me it didn't need to be done yet! They are the most honest, upfront auto repair shop I know! 100% satisfied!

Terrible! They said they would not put in my struts as I had bought them from a parts store and not from them. "It's like bringing a hamburger to Denny's" he said! So Because he couldn't rip me off on parts he refused to work on my car. I will never be going there again
