I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. I've been here a few times over the years and I've always had a positive experience. They go above and beyond to help, with good prices, professionalism, kindness and honesty. They really make me feel like they care about the customer. And they take the time to explain what the problem is and what it will cost before they work on your car.

I don't recommend no one to go there I got my brakes done because they were making noise n needed to be changed. $421 later they still making noise. The dude that work there gon tell me to wait awhile n it will go away last time I checked when you get your brakes done they stop making noise. Do Not Go There

I had plastic dragging under my car. I called them up, they said come by, and then they fixed it immediately. No hassle, not expensive, and then they gave future advice. Thank you!

I was going to bring my truck into this auto repair shop, until I saw the way the shop owner replies to his negative reviews from clients. More professional responses = more business. Try itUpdate:this clown writes me back, calls me a troll and a "denier?" (good one mike). He goes on to berate me for calling out his complete lack of people skills and unprofessional behavior.. I never claimed to be a customer.. the review stated that I would never be a customer due to his horrible responses to other reviews.. guess he really proved me wrong lol..cant see why anyone would ever take their vehicle to a crusty old grump like this. good luck mike..

Car was making rattling sounds every time I pressed on the brakes. Brought it into Mike and he fixed it the next day. Gave me some sound advice and explained everything very well. Car drives just as smooth as it used to. Coming back here for all my repair and maintenance from here on. Went to Mike at odd hours, and thats already the first perk when others are having lunch hes willing to help out immediately. Gave a very fair price and tips for any future car repairs. I had the panel fix under the front of my Toyota. It took maybe 5 minutes, and charged me $30.00. I thought I was over charged . I will not be going back .

Would give 10 stars if I could. This is hands down the most trustworthy auto repair shop we have ever been to. They don't try to get you to do unnecessary fixes for an extra buck. They truly look out for their customers and are extremely thorough in explaining what needs to be done and what doesn't. Timely, professional, the whole nine. We will be coming back here every time we're in the area.More details: Cory called us within 3 hours of dropping our van off saying that the two biggest things we thought needed to be done (new brake pads and manifold gasket) did not need to be done at all. A much cheaper, easier fix was all we needed to make the loud noises and check engine light go away. While on the phone we remembered the AC was acting up and he checked while we were still on the phone, confirming there was a small issue that he could have fixed in 10 min. We were prepared to need to spend a lot of money but 3 hours and $170 later we were on our way. 10/10Services: Exhaust, General repairs & maintenance, Air conditioning, Oil change

A great experience! I'd called ahead, and they said they could take a listen to my truck, but they were swamped and would likely not be able to get to it same-day. I brought it in, and they quickly diagnosed the idler belt pulley and said they'd be able to take care of it. In less than an hour I was back on the road with a much quieter truck! I'll definitely come back here for any of my vehicles repair from here on out!Service: Engine repair

Had some engine problems on a road trip. Mike and Cory diagnosed the problem quickly, were very honest and transparent, and got me back on the road in no time. We were anticipating being there for a few hours and the work was done in half the time. Charged a very reasonable price too! If you're on a road trip and having issues near Barstow, this is easily the place to go.

Excellent service. My check engine light came on. They got me in and determined that the issue was a defective battery. They didn t have one in stock, but offered to go get one for me. Cory was amazing! We were only passing through after a week on vacation and ran into car trouble, nobody in town could get us in but Cory got us in and out and on our way in less than two hours!! He even recommended a nearby park to walk the kids to while we waited and gave us directions to avoid traffic on our way out! Can't thank you guys enough, definitely recommend!!

The mechanic on duty Thursday helped get me back on the road, hardly charged me anything, great shop, great people, great advice too. They had my best interests at heart. Will be stopping by again and recommending this place to my peers

On 6/10/21 (my birthday no less), my daughter and I were on the first leg of a Route 66 road trip from Santa Monica to Chicago when my 1999 Anniversary edition Miata started overheating at lower speeds. We stopped in Barstow for the night, and I searched for mechanics in the morning - was turned away by two before I found the wonderful guys at Mike's who were able to help me out. One of the two radiator fans had died, and they were able to get the part and replace it within a few hours. THANK YOU SO MUCH!Service: General repairs & maintenance

This place is incredible! We had an issue come up with our engine on our drive to California and the gentleman there, who I assume is Mike, was so kind to get us right in and resolve it and get it on our way. Price was more than fair as well. if I lived in Barstow, this would easily be my mechanic!!!

Mike's has always been very honest with me and never sold me anything I didn't need, even if I asked about it. Would recommend to anyone and have been going there for years with multiple cars. This shop has been a life saver for me and they're honest and knowledgable. If you're stranded in the desert or just need some routine maintenance done on your vehicle, look no further than the expertise of Mike and Corey. They run the kind of autoshop most of us wish we had in our own hometowns.

Was driving through Barstow from Las Vegas and my car broke down from overheating. Local tow truck operator recommended MIKE'S AUTO SERVICE so I tried them. SO IMPRESSED. They gave me five star service at a great price. Great mechanics, excellent customer service, trustworthy, so helpful. Thanks very much.

I was so impressed with the service we received here a bit ago! They are very honest and and went above and beyond what they get paid to do! Our car ran out of oil on the way home from our honeymoon, due to a critical mistake of another auto place not screwing the oil nut on tight. Our car was totalled and we were stranded helpless. Not only did mikes auto and mechanic Corey diagnose correctly the car problem but he helped us try to find a car rental. When we found nothing he took his time to help us load everything in HIS own car and use his own time and gas to get us to a hotel for the night! Thank you mikes auto for being someone who truly cares about their customers!!

On my way to Vegas and A/C on my mercedes dies. They were straight up with me that they could only service it to see if that would work because they dont have the diagnostics for benz. But they took care of it and quickly. Jighly recommend if you break down or live close by.

They couldn't fix my truck because they said and come to find out they said that they wouldnt make any money off of it so they didnt fix the problem but it took them three days to tell me. Not impressed at all.
