Sis let me tell you, this place doesn t play!! This place lives up to their 5 star reviews. As for the few one stars, we have to consider all the Karens w cheugy attitudes.Staff works hard, communicates well, and you surely can count on them.I was referred to Sam Moore s by Scott Andrews bec Sam Moore s works on BMW s. You know when a mechanic recommends another shop, it s A1. Thanks again Sam Moore s and staff

I have taken vehicles here before back before they changed hands in 2016 and once after. I never had any problems before. They can fix your vehicle if they can figure what's wrong with it. My car has suspension problems. I have no check engine light and no super obvious broken parts dangling. So it makes it more difficult to figure out the problem. This was the third mechanic shop I took it to. My current experience with them was very disapointing the tech couldn't figure the main reason I brought it there for. I had to take it somewhere else. So I talked to someone via text who came off as unprofessional. I personally don't plan on dealing with them again.

Sister in laws experience: About a month or so I got my car fixed because the AC was blowing hot air. The mechanic told me that I needed to change the blower motor and resistor and I paid close to $800 to have it fixed. When I picked it up I noticed immediately that something was messed up because when I turned it sounded like something was scraping and I did NOT have that issue before taking it so I immediately took it back. They told me "that doesn't sound like something we would've done. We were fixing your AC we would have been no where near your tires or anything but we'll take a look at it." (Essentially trying to take blame off themselves). After they looked at it he said "so we found that the steering wheel wasn't attached correctly. We had to remove it to look at something for the AC and must have forgotten to re attach it. Well, we are human and sometimes we do make mistakes so ." Never apologized or anything lol. Also the AC wasn't really blowing well and noticed that when the car was idle it was stop blowing cold air and started blowing warm air and since he had told me there was warranty on the parts if I had issues I could come bring it back in. So I called and explained the issues and brought up the warranty and he said "well that sounds like a completely different issue" and I said "well no because that's what I explained when I brought it in the first time, basically the same exact issues I was already having prior to bringing it in the first time" and he said "well I don't understand why they would replace your blower motor then because that has nothing to do with the temperature of the air blowing." And I was thinking so you're admitting that you charged and "fixed" something that did not need to be replaced? Lol anyone this place has been absolutely awful if you need your car fixed do NOT go to Sam Moore's Automotive on Rosedale Hwy. They've been absolutely awful and have been overcharging and fixing things that didn't need fixing since I first came in. 0/10 stars lol

One of the back windows in my Yukon all of a sudden dropped and would not roll up. I called these guys and asked if they could repair it. They gave me an estimate when I called and told me to come by in the morning. The next morning they fixed it within a couple hours. Great service!

After visiting Bakersfield for the 4th of July fireworks. Went to the car with my wife and daughter. Car would not start, did all the normal checking. Next day had it towed to Sam Moore's Automotive. They gave me a great turnaround time next day for diagnostic and if it was the starter next day. Was originally stranded and abandoned by my insurance & roadside. Two tow truck companies and Sam Moore's Automotive saved us. Excellent people, very down to earth will tell you upfront. I know next time I need help or anything checked out I'm going to them. Even if I'm 72 miles away they are worth it. Thank you again guys, you saved our butts.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Well, the jury is awaiting all the evidence! I took my car in for an oil change & to have the fan/blower fixed on my air conditioner. The oil change was pretty routine but they had to order the part for my AC. I take it back in 3 days for that, so stay tuned for my final decision. BUT, I will say that the owner & his staff are very personable & seem to really know their stuff. So fingers crossed that I'll be able to tell you that everything went great & my AC is working like a dream!!

This place saved my car! When my battery died, I needed to find a place that would replace it immediately. They resolved my issue quickly and made me feel at ease. They even charged way less than they could have. They are honest, professional, trustworthy, and have excellent customer service. I made an appointment in July 2021 for my 2001 Chevy S-10, in order to get an estimate to repair several fluid leaks and an over-all check-up. I spoke to Dave. After their inspection, it was determined that I had several minor leaks - oil, power steering and shocks. In addition to this, I was made aware that the bigger issue was that my 20 year old truck needed brake work all around. My funds to spend on this old truck was limited, so I had Sam Moore's Automotive complete the brake work and I received my truck back in a timely manner. Once I drove the truck, it seemed to pull to the right a bit. I returned to Sam Moore's Automotive and they resolved the minor issue to my satisfaction.Due to the cost involved to resolve the original fluid issues, I have had to postpone the other repairs until funds are more readily available. The safety of myself and my family outweighs the minor fluid leaks. For this reason, I am very thankful to Sam Moore's Automotive for discovering and resolving a major safety concern.I am completely satisfied with the service work I received at Sam Moore's Automotive and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these fine folks to my friends and family.Service: Brakes

Over the summer my mom traveled to Cali from S.C. During her trip she experienced intermittent a/c problems. A Ford dealership in Missouri couldn't diagnose the issue. David found the issue to be a dirty battery post causing a low voltage signal which shut off the a/c. Six months later and her a/c works perfectly. Great unbeatable service!

If you want great customer service and value for your dollar I highly suggest Sam Moore Automotive. The work they performed was done to perfection and on time. They explained everything that needed to be done and why it needed to be repaired. Two days after the work was completed I received a follow up phone call to make sure the car was operating correctly and to find out if I was satisfied with the work. I have total confidence in this business to handle all my automotive repair needs. Dave, thank you to you and your team for exceeding our expectations!Service: Brakes

Didn t have any need for repair services. Stopped by and asked the guys in for help with recovering a single house key I mistakenly dropped inside my car s passenger seat. Brandon was kind enough to swiftly help me recover the key. Thanks gents!

I was referred to Sam Moore s Automotive from a friend who said they were great mechanics, friendly, and at a fair price. I was very happy with their work. They fixed what I brought it in for, but they also fixed by back up camera that I was having trouble with. He rewired the whole back up camera system and was able to get it working for me!! They were professional, but very friendly. They are very knowledgeable and were able to correctly diagnose and fix my vehicle. I appreciate them picking me up when the vehicle was done. Thanks! We will be back!

Took my 2009 Chevy Malibu in to get the water pump replaced. I was stressing cause it's my company vehicle I use to Live Stream. I was referred to Sam Moores Automotive Repair by a trusted friend. There customer service was great. They kept in touch giving me updates on my Vehicles progress. The best News to me was they Got my vehicle done Same Day which was huge for me! The Warranty was great to! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! They give there Customer Peace of mind. Which is huge to me when it comes to my Daily Driver Vehicle!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I am literally in tears as I type this. My sister had been searching for weeks for a place to look at her car. Every where she went legitimately tried to take advantage of her until yesterday she found Sam's. Not only is this guy completely professional but trustworthy and honest. He is a rarity. He did a complete diagnostic on her car and had a text sent telling her what's wrong and it was nothing that the others had told her. He fixed it for a fair price and in the same day. Only sad part is hes booked 2 weeks out so you have to schedule with him and get your spot. Its worth the wait.

Repaired our minivan s flywheel. Very fair rate and fast work. Left the vehicle as clean as we turned it in. Great communication and explanation. Even kept the broken part to show what the problem was. It is now two months later and it is running great. Sam Moore s Automotive is outstanding! I don t know what I would do without Dave and the crew. Prior to the loss of my husband, I took our vehicle maintenance and repair for granted. Not only does this shop maintain and repair the vehicles, they go above and beyond, they are so very patient explaining everything, and you couldn t want for a more professional, honest, and thorough experience. It is a comfort to know that the vehicles are safe and ready for the road. From the staff at the front desk, to the crew, to the commitment and patience of the owner, Dave, the service and care can t be beat. Thank you!

Very helpful staff and crew! Had issues with my starter motor on my Buick, and they went WAYYY above and beyond to get me back on the road. These guys are honest, and won't steer you wrong. Recently my heater went out on my car. Took it into the dealership where they wanted to charge me a ridiculous amount just to inspect it. I ended up bringing my car here & im so glad I did. They were fast, affordable, kind, and explained everything to me in depth. The staff was hilarious and made us feel at ease. I absolutely recommend Sam Moore s automotive repair!

I m always a little untrusting of repair shops but these people are so sincere. True experts that go the extra mile to make an awesome, loving experience. I recommend to everyone looking for a place. By the grace of god we somehow found SMO first it was my sons car that was having the issue and they treated him awesome and i was shocked to see that the cost was less than 4 other places we had received estimates on and are quick in doing the repairs too. They have awesome employees that honestly care about you and your vehicle which is extreamly rare in this day and age. So when i needed to get my vehicle looked at of course i took it to them and i was shown the same kindness they bestowed upon my son. No need to look any where for other repair shops anymore we have found the only one we want and will go to and its Sam Moore's Automotive. Thank you from the bottom of my heart y'all are awesome!!!

My first experience with Sam Moore s Automotive was when my A/C went out on my 2016 VW Jetta. (Husband tried to charge up the A/C!). Sam Moore replaced it at a fair cost and I have had no problems with it! I now take my Jetta in for oil changes and will continue to use them for any other issues that arise. The owner and staff are nice and courteous. They will send out messages inquiring if the car is running well or if it s time for the next oil change; something we don t keep track of! It s a pleasure doing business with them.Services: Air conditioning, Oil change

They do good work and they sometimes provide rides home if you're having to leave your vehicle there for more than a few hours.This last time I was dropping by my truck for a conversion from r12 refrigerant for the ac to r134a.I was quoted for one price and we paid quite another.The difference was a few hundred dollars and I wasn't contacted before they did the work. They called me to say it was done. I came after work right before their shop closed, and signed and paid. I was really surprised by the difference in price, but I didn't want to raise a fuss right as they were trying to close. Later on, my friends told me that mechanics are supposed to let you know before they do any work that's going to cost you more money. I wish I had known that at the time of paying for it, but I had already signed and handed over the credit card. Because of that, I own my mistake of paying before I talk to someone about an issue, and chose not to contact them for any sort of recompense. I'm just going to choose a shop that isn't so out of the way and is more communacative.

Sam Moore's has been a lifesaver for me on multiple occasions. My most recent go around had to do with my 2014 Camaro. I was having electrical issues for weeks and had been to the Chevy dealer a few times, Chevy could never find the problem and ended up sending me home with a 250$ bill each time.Today I was having the same electrical issue with my car and decided to drive it straight to Sam Moore's. Best. Idea. Yet.I pulled up and asked if someone could look at it while it was still running and they both dropped everything to come out and check it out. A couple hours later I was able to swing by and get my car, free of charge because they were able to fix the problem by resetting the battery. They even gave me a ride home while they held onto my car.If your having car problems, don't waste your time with overpriced dealers. Take it here. Thanks guys!

Excellent service, courteous and knowledgeable staff. They gave us an honest diagnosis of the problem. Fixed our vehicle the same day and did not over charge. Will definitely go back to them for service in the future.

I believe that it was in 2017 I took my Honda Odyssey to Sam Moore Automotive, consulting on engine replacement. Barber Honda dealer already made me pay $180 for the checking. They insisted that it was an engine problem. Obviously, Sam Moore colleagues were smarter than the dealer employees! They figured out that the engine was good! The hoses behind the engine were leaking. My wife was stingy and made Sam Moore colleagues unhappy. But I liked them a lot. Right now, we go to the dealer for timing belt and oil changes. For repairs, I still trust Sam Moore!

Outstanding service and outstanding mechanics. Sam Moore's Automotive has worked on my newer truck and my wife's vintage Mercedes. On every occasion the vehicle problems were properly diagnosed and fixed accordingly. The work is priced commpetative and always fare and reasonable. I can personally attest to the warranty of work. Can't say enough about this shop. Extremely competent and of high morality.
