Couldn t be happier with the service provided. These guys know their stuff, keep you in the loop, no surprises, made everything make since for me being that I am ignorant to their profession. Made the repairs way faster than I ever expected. I can t recommend enough! they will be my go to for automotive electrical from here on out.

I brought my car in early morning but my car didn't get looked at till late afternoon which meant It had to stay over the weekend. Which left me very inconvenienced not having my car. Ask for a diagnostic, yet still not pinpointed to what exactly is going on with my car. I was very disappointed with the outcome. For the he money that I paid I would have thought a better diagnostic. Most of it I already knew about. Felt like I just wasted my money. I did my research and thought I was going to a decent place, so I won't be going back.

I hardly write reviews, but I was so impressed with my results and how I was treated that I had to take time out of my busy schedule to do so. I came early in the morning because my low beams were not working. He asked if I wanted to leave the car or stay. I chose to stay. He was busy with paperwork, but after about 5 minutes, he came to do a quick inspection on my vehicle. After only 5 minutes, he had my car lights on and working. It turned out that Kia Optimas do not have a self leveling system, so if the headlights are changed and put in the wrong way the lights will not turn on. He didn't try to scam me like the mechanics at Firestone on Chester St did, saying it would cost $350, and he did not charge a 65$ inspection fee before doing the work. I asked what he would charge and he did it for LESS than half the price of an inspection fee. The man is honest and is very experienced. He went straight to the problem in front of my face. What I like about S.A.E is that the owner is so experienced that he will explain to you why you can't just install lights on certain cars the way you would on other cars. I would most definitely recommend this shop to anyone. He works on classics, older cars and new cars. They even rebuild engines and do light body repair. I just wish I found this place earlier.

DON'T SHOP HERE if you like being ripped off. Don't shop here if you dislike being respected as a customer. Don't shop here if you hate excellent service from competent mechanics. That is to say that my experience here was STELLAR. The best shop I've ever worked with. I trust them to do their job without trying to upsell you. They did diagnostics on my car and boy, did they do extensive testing. All without hidden fees and extra pay. They found the cause of my car's mysterious behavior and explained to my why it happens and how it got that way in the first place. This means a lot to me, as I'm almost always disappointed by mechanic shops. Everytime, something goes wrong. Until this one. All in all, I am very impressed and they've earned themselves a repeat customer. 11/10Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection

I am adding my review and amending my 2 star to five. Initially my reasoning for two stars was because I had contacted Stockdale Automotive and Electric a little over a year ago but was not able to get in. Recently my sister was having electrical issues with her car.. I advised her it would probably be in her best interest to find an ASE certified mechanic who specializes in electrical. The reason I referred her to Stockdale Automotive and Electric is their years in service. The reason why I remembered them is because I remember always seeing their business when I was in hight school. The sad thing is my sister had already dished out a good amount of money to other mechanics who claimed they could diagnosed her problem and did not. The day she took her car in I went with her. They diagnosed the problem in about two hours. Which really blew my mind. They fixed the needed repairs and alleviated a lot of the anxiety that comes with doing business with a mechanic and hoping they are honest. They gave her a six month warranty on the repairs and also fixed something that was needed as a courtesy. So far so good car seems to be in order and running again. My personal opinion of this business is they do what they claim to do unlike other mechanics. They were prompt with diagnosing her issue and repairs. I will honestly say depending on your vehicles issue if it's electrical, I would definitely recommend this shop. Even it costs a little more they know what they are doing and that's huge. You get what you pay for and so far in my opinion Stockdale Automotive and Electric is the way to go. I hope this review helps anyone trying to find a qualified mechanic to work on their car.

Amazing customer service HIGHLY recommend. Took my 2013 Mercedes c250 for an oil change which I have been paying an arm and a leg for at the dealership. These guys found some unusual BS under the hood. They took care of me without breaking the bank. .......Guess who just made an appointment for my other vehicles.......THIS GUY!!! Thank you SAE

I was having car trouble and found this place on the web with really good reviews. My car was shutting off on me and my battery was being drained. I called to get my car in to the shop and he was very professional it seemed like he knew what he was talking about, which I really liked. He ran a diagnostic test and it was the alternator which I okay him to fix and my car was just down for 2 days which is really fast and cool. He has a really good sense of humor and down to earth and friendly. I would recommend him 2 others and I give his shop a 5 star rating. If I have any more car trouble I will definitely be going back for the car work. Thank you so much for help me get back on my feet. If I could rate this place with no stars I would! So I ll make a long story short. I called this shop cause I have been having electrical problems with my 2007 dodge ram 3500, I was able to talk to Miguel on the issues that I have and everything done prior of me towing my truck there. So he advised me to take it there so he can take a look and diagnose it, at the time of me dropping it off he seem 100% confident that he would get it fixed no problem. Even stated I guarantee you will be driving this truck out of this shop . And with that said I dropped it off and hoped for the best. Few days went by and I get a call from Miguel saying that he couldn t figure it advised me to spend $5000+ for a wire harness and a new PCM and what not. But anyway truck is fixed now at a different shop didn t need a new PCM or harness!! BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE I DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE TAKING THEIR VEHICLE HERE (unless you want someone to promise false hope) in my perspective I would stay away find a real professional that can show you what they can do and not just talk about it.

Manager found out what was wrong with my vehicle when the previous 3 shops couldn t. Very communicative and helpful people, try to get you the right help before they start any work or lead you to the right place.

I spoke with Jose, the general manager and I'm reassured the job to my 2002 Honda Odyssey is a go. A five star is given and after the work is done.... maybe they will be able to keep 5

Have taken my car here twice. First time was for an electrical issue that two other mechanics failed to fix. Jose found it and had it running perfectly. Second time was for brakes and they were done in less than two hours. These guys did a great job on my vehicle. It didn t take them long to figure out what was going on and get it fixed. Very professional and transparent throughout the process and the pricing was reasonable. Special props to Jose Valencia!

Did an amazing job in my 1987 Toyota mr2 the engine was swapped and was having some little electrical bugs they figured it all out and cleaned my wiring up for me and the car runs great! These guys are great. They took on my nightmare 86 Corvette and unraveled all the bad work the previous people had done. They worked with me on the price and kept me informed. They re very professional, If I was digging through wires all day I would be so grumpy. They are always friendly though LOL. These guys went above and beyond to take care of my repairs at a very reasonable price! As a women it s hard to find guys you can trust and not be taken advantage of. Not with this place! They seemed very honest, and now they are my go to mechanics! My son s car was sold and the new owners are very happy! Thank you!

Went here for a diagnosis cause my power steering was making my car go in limp mode and they had my car for 8 days and said it was my transmission control module. I drove my car to another stop and it took them 1 hrs to figure out it was only a broken battery terminal. My car isn't like a regular battery terminal you can twist it pulls off. DO NOT GO HERE ITS A SCAM!Service: Electrical

My daughter highly recommend for repair on my 2002 Toyota Camry and I could have not went to better place great service very knowledgeable and the coast was very fair priced I also want to say Jose and his team are Awesome people !! The owner, John, is an honest and effective mechanic. He will not over commit; my car has been ready on time every time I have visited SAE. If the repair is not something the shop can handle, they are happy to refer you to a qualified specialist (such as a transmission rebuild.) It is refreshing to find an honest mechanic that truly owns their work.

WOW!!! These enthusiastic guys are no joke, they take what they do seriously and I for one appreciate it. We made the horrible mistake of taking my Jeep Grand Cherokee to Bakersfield Chrysler Jeep and they had my vehicle for over a month with nothing but excuses and in the end no repair or even a clue what was wrong so we took it out of their so-called shop. S.A.E. Stockdale Auto Electric diagnosed AND repaired my Jeep Cherokee electrical, A/C problem in ONE DAY, no excuses, straight answers, excellent communication, fair prices, what else can you ask for in a repair shop. I love these guys for representing true integrity in auto repair. Excellent job Don and the guys did for me and I will refer everyone I know in need of a real shop and use them for my needs in the future!!!

NOT HONEST MECHANICS!!If you want to waste your money. Take your car here. This shop got me for 420.00 just to tell me to take it to the dealer.. They lie and dont really know nothing just guess what the problem is. Then they do unnecessary "So call repairs" I honestly never felt so dumb think they would help me. Take your vehicle here at your own risk to be cheated.Thanks Miguel.

If I can put 0 stars I would..paid for a diagnosis, Miguel not only wasn t able to figure out the problem but even had the audacity to try and charge me for a 2nd diagnosis when I came back to the shop and let him know that the problem he didnt figure out continued. When I told him that it s only fair for me to get my car properly diagnosed since I paid for it, he replied refusing to ever work on my car point blank period. So the mechanic just stole my money.

I ve had two repairs done by these gentlemen. Both times they were very accommodating of my drop off and pick up needs and they even kept in touch with me while I was out of state about needed repairs. I will return my vehicle to them for further repairs as needed.

I told them everything wrong that was wrong with the car (which was a misfire ) , had it for a week and basically just replaced a connector and tested the things we had got tested by another mechanic and let him know . I mean if you don t mind spending lots of money for them to be messing around for a while then by all means go to them but I wouldn t recommend if you want the job done as soon as possible and in a budget friendly fashion . The AAMCO a few miles away referred me to this shop because they were too lazy to figure out what was wrong with my truck. SAE is outstanding. They had great customer service, told me the truth about AAMCO and diagnosed my truck happily & really made a frustrating situation an easy one. All around good experience. Hopefully I don t have to return, but if I did I d gladly go back to SAE.
