Hugh provided excellent service and advice walking me through a LS2 6.0 stroker build. Very happy with the results!

Very bad service. Took my heads in and they said it'll take no more the a couple days. It's been a month and a half and they did nothing. There was no communication on their end. If I didn't call I would not have know what was going on. Gave nothing but excuses. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. I wouldn't even give it a star.

Before I selected Reynolds Automotive, I personally visited four other shops in Bakersfield. By far, Reynolds was not only the best organized and cleanest shop, but Hugh and David were professional, fair, understanding and patient to the lay person (me). I entrusted the Reynolds team with my 1974 Cherokee to perform a complete rebuild to the tired and worn AMC 360. They promised 6 weeks to pull, rebuild and re-install. To my surprise they completed the job AHEAD of schedule! They are thorough and pay attention to detail. They even ensured that my trans was shifting and working correctly.My Jeep now runs better than it ever has with more power and certainly with more reliability. The engine looks great, they painted not only the new engine but the whole engine bay and parts.There are a lot of other machine shops out there, but Reynolds treated me right. Personal attention with clear expectations and pricing at intake, top quality work, excellent communications during the build, faster than promised turn-around on the job and great value. Sure, there may be cheaper shops out there, but you get what you pay for!Thank you Hugh, David and the rest of the team at Reynolds. My Cherokee is running like a champ!

Took my block and crank into Reynolds and they did a great job. When I went to pick it up the owner was very nice and very informative. He told us what cam would work best for what we wanted and also told us if we had any questions later he would be happy to help. Thanks Reynolds

I took my Engine to another shop (what a mistake), 8 months later I get it all back in pieces. Reynolds was recommended to me. The guy's are very knowledgeable. David did a Valve Job on my World Jr Heads and they tanked my Block and installed my Cam bearings in my 1965 Ford Mustang 289 Engine. Nice turn around time, Price's were where I thought it would be. I'd go back to this Machine Shop again.

Dont go here unless you want you property and money taken, went for a rebuild said it would take 18 day, took more like 5 months and no work done, tried to get money and car back and he said he wants some money for checking on repairs, we said ok then he said we can have the rest of money when we go for car, went for car engine wasn t in car so no money cause now engine gotta get picked up. Waste of time and worst experience ever DONT EVER GO HERE!!!! They will steal your money and do no work. He kept saying I ll get to it next week, then next month, biggest thief I ve ever met with a legit business. So remember folks, he ll waste ya time and steal your money then act like he earned it. If I could give him zero stars I would!!!

Terrible experience spent over $3500 on head work and didn t know what they were doing. They messed up my heads and I had to go get them re done at another mechanic and he said they had my truck running on only 2 cylinders. I tried many times to have the owner fix the issue and always made excuses as to why he didn t have time and the mechanic that worked on my vehicle no longer works for his shop blah blah blah. Brought it to the BBB and we will be taking them to small claims to get our money back. Never go there I have no idea how he has been in business for so long screwing people over.

Shop seemed to live up to its review so I dropped off my cylinder heads to be worked on. Dave seemed nice and a cool guy at first. So I dropped my heads off on monday when they were closing. Afterwards he said my heads will get worked on on Wednesday so I called tuesday to pull heads out the shop (personal reason) just to hear they were almost done when I called as soon as they opend up shop??? To me he was skeptical about it all. So I ignored my gut feeling and left the heads to be finished up later to get a couple of calls later in the week rude as can be from Dave that they were gonna charge me twice as much then what was quoted originally. As a customer I was shocked to see someone so rude especially since he was servicing me friendly before and paying for work to be done that wasn't cheap. After the 3rd or 4th call from this guy being rude i said f*** it Im done I want my heads out and this was friday already. He said they were halfways done on Wednesday. So I called the shop Friday, Dave answered I told him I was going to get the head later once I was off work. As soon as he heard me say that he hung up on me!!! I went to the shop to pick them up and the owner calls him to come out to service me and his response to the owner was hes to busy can you do it. Dave finally comes out 15 minutes later with boxes pissed off with my head torn apart everything in boxes. The heads were bare as can be!! Looking at all the parts I was pissed to; I kept my cool and spoke nicely to this guy asking what happen that you said there were 90% done to get more rude responses but in person face to face with the boss next to him!! Then handed me the bill of $400+ for unfinished work that was not even close to being done as he said over the phone earlier in the weekAll in all worst place to go never again. Wasted my money on halfa** work, charged an arm and leg just to tear the heads apart to hot tank and resurface. If your reading this take it else where. Pay the extra cash for a friendly service and having them live up to there words.

Reynolds does awesome work, only buys American parts, and his shop is always super clean and organized.
