I contacted Gerald as I was in the area & just finished a delivery. He squeezed me in for a oil change and brake job. The wait was minimal and the price was fair. I'll definitely be returning.

Its fantastic repair shop. Owner Gerald Stockton is a great man. He repaired my cars a chronic disease.The price was reasonable and considered my family's situation. I'm so glad that I was able to cure our car's disease thanks to him.He found a cause that no one had found. I live in Corona. But it's a shame that I didn't see an expert like him in Corona.

My family and I were traveling to L.A. on a 110 F degrees and suddenly the AC from our car stopped working . We googled a good mechanic and multifixitman appeared. I have to say Gerald is an amazing mechanic and person. He didn't hesitate in helping us. While we where waiting he was very kind to sit us in front of an ac he turned on for us. I definetly recomend him 100%.

My vehicle broke down in Buttonwillow (25 miles W Bakersfield) on the i5. I ended up at Gerald s garage (on his property with a workshop at the back) based on reviews and a local towing service recommendation. If he doesn t answer the phone leave a voice message he will return your call.He already had jobs lined up all morning, but still took a gander my Honda CRV to see if he could help. He throughly assessed the issue (an internal engine problem that could have been costly) and gave me plenty of options. I was able to get back on the road in a few hours and cannot recommend his service enough particularly if you are a solo female traveler. He is professional, experienced and charges reasonably.

My clutch went out on my way to Arizona from Oregon and Gerald helped me quickly and at a great cost for the emergency I was dealing with. He got my car Saturday and got me back on the road early Sunday I would recommend his service anytimeService: TransmissionService: Transmission

Nothing but great things to say about this shop. Gerald is very kind and knowledgeable. It s a very mom and pop atmosphere, don t be put off that the shop is on a home property, the tools and equipment are just as extensive as any big name garage! When my fuel pump went bad just off the I-5, I was towed here after calling and being welcomed with a great attitude towards getting it done as soon as possible. I was patient while Gerald finished up a project to free a lift for my rig, then he proceded to work several hours after closing time to get me on the road! I got to watch the process too which I really enjoyed. The cost was far less than quoted by other shops, and the work is genuine. Thank you Gerald!

This place is absolutely AMAZING!!! We got stuck on I5 stranded and called a tow truck to this shop. The owner said that we could come in even though it technically was past business hours. They met us with open arms and offered us a seat in front of an air conditioner and even offered us a cold bottle of water because it was sooo warm. He got right to work and fixed the problem and within 2 hours the car was back to normal. Gerald is a great licensed mechanic and has been for many years. He fixes cars out of his professional garage behind his house but it is great and he has every tool to do the job correctly! They even called us once we were on the road to make sure that the car was working correctly and that we were doing okay! I have never had any other mechanic do anything like that. They have the greatest hospitality and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great mechanic near I5 and Bakersfield!!

I absolutely lucked out by finding Multifixitman's Auto Repair after having a harrowing breakdown on nearby Interstate 5. Gerald, the ultra capable owner of Multifixitman 's Auto Repair, answered my call from an I5 rest area, which was a blessing because I needed help right away as I was stranded, and met me after I had my Honda minivan towed in to his well equipped shop. Gerald quickly and competently diagnosed the problem and ordered and installed the new part ASAP. The price was excellent and the service exemplary. He took a situation which looked like it might be a long expensive ordeal and reduced it to a feel good story. I highly recommend contacting Gerald if you need auto repair or service. My experience couldn't have been better.

Gerald is top notch. He was responsive, accommodating, not a price gadget, and he knows his stuff. I would use him over and over again. Helped me fix an issue with my Jeep Rubicon. In the rain mind you.

My wife and I were traveling from CA to CO with our Dodge 2500 diesel & a travel trailer. Unfortunately we broke down on the side of the highway on a Sunday night (2 hours into our 19 hour drive). Stranded, we were upset and didn't know what to do. We called AAA for a tow but didn't know where to take it because everywhere was closed (Dodge in Bakersfield, Dodge in PR, and a few shops we called). Luckily my wife called Gerald and he SAVED THE DAY! AAA towed us to his shop and he let us in around 11pm. He was up early the next morning diagnosing the problem and ordering the part. The day before he said we would be on the road around 1200. At 1120 we got the call that he was all finished. Everything was perfect. Gerald is SUPER nice and he does a really stand up job for a fair price. THANK YOU GERALD!

My 1991 Ford Van sprung a couple (hefty) leaks in the radiator, stranding me at the Pilot Station on I5. I was referred to Gerald at MultiFixItMan and I honestly couldn't be more grateful. Gerald was upfront and honest through the entire process of replacing my radiator which was extremely refreshing in a world of mechanics whom you're not sure whether or not to trust. Not only did he immediately jump on fixing my vehicle but he also put it back together BETTER than it was before... my prior mechanic had originally put the radiator in incorrectly, which in turn caused the issue. After running some diagnostics, Gerald came to this conclusion and rather than just put it back in the way he found it, he consoled me, tried some different options and, in the end, installed my new radiator correctly :) He also took the time to help me understand (and see) exactly what went wrong and how to prevent it from happening again. I highly HIGHLY recommend this guy if you're having any issues with your car or broke down on your way through. Extremely intuitive and awesome customer service. Five stars isn't enough for Multifixitman Auto Repair. My GMC Safari Van's engine stopped suddenly while traveling on I5 and this shop was the closest auto repair. From the moment my van arrived by tow truck until my car was repaired, Gerald was totally focused on getting my van repaired so I could continue my trip. Diagnosing the problem was not easy, because there were no codes stored in the ECU. However, Gerald was persistent with testing and diagnosis until the problem got fixed. He even postponed dinner to get me back on the road. The problem was with the van's 15 year old 192k mile original ignition coil and ignition control module. They suddenly failed and the engine stopped running. Those parts are difficult to reach and replace, but Gerald was persistent. I highly recommend this shop for any vehicle repairs or maintenance.Services: Electrical, Engine repair

Gerald and his family were amazing! We were 12 hrs into our drive till my suv started to act up. It was past buisness hours I started to freak out. My husband called Gerald and he said to bring it. We had to call a tow truck and dropped it off at his house which he has a a garage to work on these vehicles. We had to leave our car due to it being transmission problems we had to rent a car to make it down to a wedding. Gerald kept in contact we had to get a new transmission and it was affordable. He even called us to make sure we got back home without any problems. So if you brake down in Bakersfield dont freak out because Geralds there!

Had a quick repair I needed done before heading into LA, and this was the perfect place to get it done. Located about 9 miles from I-5 right off CA-58, it's easy to get to, easy to find, and the service was quick, done right, and at a price far lower than I expected. Gerald was friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this place for your automotive needs.

If you ever break down on the I-5 in this area like I did, I recommend this shop. Even if you live in the Bakersfield area and need repairs. The people are friendly and know what they're doing. Don't be scared by the fact that their shop is in their back yard. That just gives it a homey feel!I was on my way home from Northern California yesterday (Memorial Day) when my car decided it just wasn't going to do anything anymore. It just up and quit on me. After a stressful few hours on the side of the road, a tow to a local Best Western, a night unexpectedly spent there, and then a second tow to the shop, I was pretty frazzled. Gerald and his wife were really friendly and I immediately felt at ease. She sat and chatted with me for a while, taking my mind off my problems. All in all, it was actually a pretty pleasant afternoon.Turns out there wasn't anything seriously wrong with my car (thank God) and he had me back on the road in a few hours. And the repair ended up being the cheapest part of my entire ordeal. True story: as I was just writing this review, Gerald's wife (forgive me, I never did get her name) texted me to make sure I got home okay. I mean... You can't beat that kind of service and care.I'd definitely recommend them to anyone I know.

My car overheated on my 7 hr trip I was at a halfway point when I couldn't continue and searched for a mechanic, I'm so thankful for finding him, all his reviews were great and he simply gave me a good vibe very knowledgable. I blew the head gasket in my car on top of my fans not working and my thermostat getting stuck and he fixed all that for me and then some. He showed me pictures of his work and the parts that were replaced. It was a major fix and I couldn't help but be nervous, but my car is back to normal and I couldn't be any happier for his service, I highly recommend him to anyone in the Bakersfield/Buttonwillow area.

Our alternator went out while driving down I-5 to LA We called the place. The mechanic immediately made time for us and replaced the alternator for a very fair price-much cheaper than anywhere else that I have had gone to. He even showed a trick to save time on the next repair. He literally saved our vacation. Thank You!

Our car broke down on I-5. We towed it to multifixman's auto repair. It was a broken alternator and he fixed it that evening. Good prices and an honest mechanic. I couldn't ask for more in a bad situation.

My family and I were traveling back home from Paso Robles (Labor Day) when our travel trailer decided it didn't want a wheel, it shredded all bolts off and rolled into a field. Gerald was kind enough to let us leave the TT there at his facility, made repairs and had it ready by the next weekend for us to pick up. Fair price and friendly, just like another post mentioned, don't be discouraged by the location, very professional garage. Thank you Gerald.

This guys is honestly a diamond in the rough. my daughter's car broke down in Buttonwillow and we were not able to get her a tow truck until after 5pm when everything closes. Not only did Jared (MULTIFIXITMAN) agree to take her car, but he worked on it on the spot to helped us figure out what happened, well after his closing hours.He troubleshooted multiple issues, and long story short her motor was nearly blown, but instead of trying to get me to blow money with outlandish repairs he actually talked me out of them. Saying it would nearly cost the cars value to repair. He offered to hold the car for a short time while we figured out how to get it home (we live in norcal), and was very supportive and understanding of our situation. If I'm ever in a position where i need anything car related in this area I will absolutly be going back to him.Very trustworthy, honest, and very fair prices.Thank you again Mr. Multifixitman you made a horrible situation much better.

Thank you boss for everything you did for us. You are a really nice guy. I will be dropping off a apple pie next time im passing through. I have been in the automotive technician worked in many dealerships Independent shops even ran a shop for 10 + years. So i know what im talking about when i say this guy is very good!

Gerald, also known as Miltifixitman, located between Bakersfield and i-5 has help me beyond belief! He let me store my broken motor home on his property for 2 and 1/2 months, and then switched out the engine for more than a reasonable price for the quality of work! This guy is a pro. This is the place to go if you are ever in that area.#multifixitman

Jerald is exactly what he says. He can fix it all.He is honest and efficient and will fulfill all of your automotive repair needs without having to drum up more business for himself by selling you goods you do not need. He is honest.

Great guy, honest mechanic, broke down on trip between San Francisco and San Diego. He had me back on the road fast. If you break down in Buttonwillow don't waste your time looking for a honest and good mechanic, he's your guy who get it done for a fair price.

Had an issue while on vacation in the area, where my truck started running rough and had lost power. I had done some quick checking and figured out I had a plug that wasn't firing. I called to verify they could see me, and give a brief description of my problem. They told me to come on out and they would take a look. They tracked down the issue and got it fixed quickly. Anytime you are in the area and have vehicle problems, call them.

My parents borrowed my truck and were headed back to Southern California with it when they started having major issues near Bakersfield. I called Multifixitman's shop and he got them back on the road in less than two hours at a very fair rate. We are so grateful for his fast effective work. Thank you!

I broke down on I-5 near Stockdale hwy at 8pm on a holiday. I called multifixitman after 8pm and reached a real person. I towed my car from the I-5 / Stockdale Hwy intersection to the shop (exactly 7 miles, for AAA members that's covered) and arrived around 9pm. Multifixitman met me outside and talked through the problem with me after 9pm on a holiday. Very nice, very professional. If you are in a pinch, this is the garage to get first quality service no matter the circumstances.

My car broke down on the I-5... For a reasonable price I was up and running within hours after getting a new axle! A professional with all the correct tools! I would definitely go back.

This guy is the BEST automechanic I've ever known. I have 4 brothers that are all mechanics, this guy is better. His prices are better than any mechanic or shop I've been to. Don't be fooled by the appearance of the place. He is the best.
