2004 Silverado 2500HD with Allison Transmission.Problem: transmisson fluid leaking out from inspection window after pulling our travel trailer.My dad recommended Kern Transmission. They kept in communication with me during the diagnosis and were upfront with their pricing along they way. Ultimately the transmission need to be romove and various seal where replaced. Final cost was the same as quoted. A few days later the truck had a minor leak and Kern Transmission replaced an additional seal at no cost. Turn around time was good and staff was friendly. Special thanks to Tanya for coming to my house for the keys after I left without leaving them. She was very nice and great to deal with.

Kern Transmission is the way to go! They provided the absolute best service while fixing my Miata s transmission. Marie was amazing and always kept me updated during the process. Thank you Kern Transmission for servicing my Hyundai Palisade! Tanya in the office gave me great customer service, and they even gave me a ride to work! Kern Transmission is the best repair shop I have ever been to. Marie in the front office is amazing. She is very professional, accommodating and is great at communicating. We never had to wonder what was happening with our truck because she kept us so informed. All of their technicians are so knowledgeable and talented. If you are like I was, searching online and looking through Google reviews to determine which transmission shop to take your vehicle to, then let this one here settle it for you. I am giving this 5 STAR review on my own free will because they deserve the recognition and I tell you no lies. I am so satisfied with the service they gave me. From the time it took, to their diagnosis, the quality of work, the very reasonable price, and above all that, the Amazing customer service. SHOUT OUTS TO MARIE AT THE FRONT DESK FOR THAT. This mechanic shop operates in honesty and depends on their customer satisfaction for their business and not trying to get over on you to make that extra dollar. If you re like me, you re skeptical when searching for a mechanic to take your vehicle to, to get looked at and repaired. Please do yourself a favor and trust these guys. Out of all the transmission and mechanic shops I called to get info and quotes, Marie was the most polite and professional one I spoke with. I knew it was the right place to go just being on the phone with her, and then the price and quality of service was just a confirmation of that. Thank you Kern Transmission. Took a 2008 Toyota Yaris with a burnt out clutch there about a month or so ago and got it replaced in a timely fashion for around $850. They could have charged me more for additional work that they warned me could be needed but they didn't and honestly, very cool, cuz I know nothing about cars and wouldn't have known the difference. Nice warranty and a month or so in, car's running fine. Thanks Kern!

I took my 08 Silverado here and everything was amazing from start to finish! They made me an appointment so my truck was not just sitting there waiting like other shops. They are very fair and honest. They don t sell you a bunch of stuff you don t need and that in its self is amazing. The hole team down there is great. I had my transmission serviced at one of those quick lube places and when they were done, the transmission didn t shift like it was supposed to. I took it to Kern transmission and they evaluated it and quickly found that a seal was left in place on the filter instead of being removed. They saved the day. Love those guys. And the price was very reasonable.

Kern Transmission, I just wanted to thank you for making my vehicle repair experience painless on my wallet and my nerves.I called and spoke to Marie the receptionist and she was very helpful and scheduled me in for the next day.I had to have my Chevy Tahoe towed to their shop, because of my transmission went out. Well, I'm not a mechanic and I thought I needed my transmission rebuilt, but the Honest Mechanics checked out my Tahoe and told me that it was my transfer case motor that went out.Thank You all so much and I will definitely recommend you to my family and friends

They had to replace the intake manifold. The check engine light went off before I came into the shop, so they had to keep the car for a couple days to be able to fully check everything. Now it runs great! Janessa, the receptionist, was very friendly and helpful. I will definately recommend this shop to friends!

I will refer all my family and friends to Kern Transmission! The entire staff was friendly and considerate, and I'm so grateful to have found them! I felt like a priority. I was in a time crunch, and they did everything they could to get my transmission rebuilt and my car back to me in a week. I was quoted a much higher cost at other service places and was told I wouldn't have my car back for up to three weeks.Service: Transmission

I am a long time customer of the new owner and will continue to bring my car to his place of business for servicing. I drive down from Ontario just because I know the work performed is first-rate. The repairs are always finished within the estimated time, and pricing is more than fair. Tess and Ken run a great shop! Ken spent time explaining to me why it would be better and cheaper to have him rebuild my transmission instead of replace it with one bought online like I wanted to do. I'm glad I took his advice! He did the work quickly, for a reasonable price, and I got a stronger, better than OEM, rebuilt transmission out of the deal. They also protect the rebuilt transmission with a 2 year warranty. I highly recommend Kern Transmission, they do great work and offer great customer service.

I just wanted to say thank you to an amazing company. I came in for a rear transmission leak and they noticed my rear main engine seal was leaking also. They were able to repair all items in a timely and affordable manner. I never knew they did work outside transmission work and well now, I will be going to them for everything.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Said transmission was OK but needed break job, Over priced on break job, was asked to save removed parts and put them in boxes of the new parts did not do either, than said transmission needed overhaul and it ran fine when it was dropped off. Never again.

The technician i spoke with was knowledgeable. The front counter help is severely lacking. Her customer service skills are horrible . She also has no listening skills whatsoever. When i had questions regarding the vehicle i got her life story. I don t care your BF takes you to work or that you have an old car. Answer yes or no! PS i know you cant get mileage off the car if there is no computer in it.Update. Once we had the car towed from there we found hoses actually cut. The pan was barely pit back on. The battery was swapped out with one that doesn t hold a charge.Horrible horrible horrible

The owner and help in the office are awesome. Listening to the owner on he phone helping possible customers was amazing. He really helped out a customer on the phone and in the end kind of turned down the service just due to the fact the customers beat coarse of action was to go a different route. I would recommend people to come here with all transmission issues or services. The price is very reasonable too.

ken is the owner of this shop and I took my F 150 there to have the transmission serviced. He did a really good job fast and it was a good price as well. He answered all my questions I had before ever turning a wrench. I also noticed that he is the only one i actually witnessed doing any of the work internally on the transmissions, so if your transmission needs a repair, you know you are the talking to the guy who is actually going to work on it! wonderful place and a very nice man who really knows his stuff!

Paul is a very helpful and knowledgeable man. He helped us with a lot of questions and concerns about our vehicle. After getting the run around from Nissan it was nice to get straight answers from some one and not lies or miss diagnostics for a company that should be trust worthy. Thank you Paul.

Been there in the past and had great service in the past that was above and beyond, hence why I went back. There is either new owners or just a new employee that was just awful in the area of customer service, she was more interested in her cell phone than customer service. She rarely took her eyes off her phone and huffed and got almost mad when i asked her can i make an appointment and bring my car back after she told me I'd halfto leave my car for 3 days for a leak that i had the gasket kit ready to go for (no longer than an hour job.. Did it already elsewhere were they willing to take my cash money to fix the leak) she almost sat her cell phone down looked at the computer not touching it at all and turned to me and said no rolling here eyes and picking her phone back up. I reverified her answer and she lost my business now and forever and left unhappy. that is not acceptable customer service the customer service is your front line the first and usually last impression and it was not good. Not welcoming, not helpful, not even wanting business, without business the doors close permanently. So changes should be made teach customer service skills or move her out of that seat as she has lost a 250.00 job plus 3 referrals just went to the other shop as well after that. I wouldent send friends or family into there.

This is a family owned business, Ken and his wife are very friendly. They will gladly to address any questions you may have. My car went here for a preventative maintenance, and they did a good job with reasonable price.

great place to take your vehicle to. the staff were friendly and fast, the owner, Ken was very hands on told me my problem and addressed it right away. sat in the office and had a friendly chat while I waited for my pick-up. definitely recommend this establishment.

I brought my car to this shop because it was leaking transmission fluid. Ken, the owner, quickly identified the problem to be the front seals. His wife scheduled me for an appointment and the experience was terrific. Ken took the time to explain the issue and resolution. I dropped the car off Tuesday morning and picked it up Wednesday afternoon.And now...happy car. Kern Transmission performs quality transmission work at a fair price and they stand behind their service. Thank you Kern Tranmission!

So happy to have found this shop. They seemed honest and took care of my problem. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely go back for any other problems I might have with my car. Don't look anywhere else. I truly believe you won't regret it.
