I recently visited the Chevron Gas Station on my way back from LA, and my overall experience was less than satisfactory. While it was easy to spot the gas station from the freeway, the surrounding area lacked much variety, with only signs for Subway and Jack In the Box catching our attention.Upon pulling into the station, we noticed that the Subway sandwich store was housed inside. Hoping to use the bathroom, we were met with disappointment as the facilities were far from clean. The dirty floor, non-functional hand dryer, and absence of paper towels left much to be desired in terms of hygiene.After reluctantly using the facilities, we decided to purchase four small bags of chips only to be surprised by the total which was around $13 to $14. The limited options in the area didn't provide much choice, but the overall cost was higher than expected.One positive aspect was the ample parking available at the station. However, the cleanliness of the bathroom and the elevated snack prices significantly dampened our experience. Considering the convenience of the location, it's unfortunate that the Chevron Gas Station failed to meet basic standards of cleanliness and offered overpriced snacks. I hope improvements are made to enhance the overall customer experience in the future.

I drove from LA threw the i5 stopped here at chevron and seen a beautiful lady with blue hair wanted to know her name so i asked the manager soleadad but she didn t tell me everyone was so nice great costumer service costumers need to appreciate restroom tho very messy and blame it on the workers subway there was good didn t like i couldn t see my food

This gas station has a Subway inside, too, so you can get sandwiches and also hot coffee . They have bathrooms for customers in case you are traveling

Typical gas station. Restroom was a little dirty. The male urinal wouldn't flush and the stall door was broken.

8/19 at 3:56 pm - Terrible experience. Expected to pay $5 for chips and chocolate, but got charged $10. Cashier dismissed me without a receipt. Had to demand one and found I was paying for his Starbucks vanilla Frappuccino . Clearly intentional. Watch out and always ask for a receipt. Disappointed in how people can be so dishonest.

Bathrooms are disgusting, no excuses for this . Stop at EZ truck stop instead .Chevron in California are mostly like this!! Done with them!!

The store seems ok but the bathrooms were a DUMP. 2 out of 3 stalls out of order and the 3rd on its last leg. No towels and the hand blower not working! It makes me wonder how clean they keep the Subway sandwich shop!

Terrible staff. The guy told me in broken English that I can shop there but not use the bathroom because he wants to fix it. After 300 miles of driving, he put the out of order sign on the for in front of my face. I know all the men's toilets didn't break together. And he wouldnt watch the women's door for me for a minute.

Check your credit card charges. We stopped there to get Monkey's Tacos, best tacos. My grandaughter wanted a subway sandwich which I purchased with my credit card. Upon checking my account I noticed the original charge of $7.78 which was right. I also saw another charge $20.09 this amount is being disputed by my bank. I'll continue to stop for our tacos, but never go there again. Gas prices are totally outrageous there. BEWARE!!

If you enjoy paying 1.50 more for gas than you could be paying, stop here ! While you're at it donate $20 to the big oil companies so they can continue to expand and price gouge. Thank God the Sinclair gas station 4 miles north of here has the cheapest gas in the San Joaquin valley. I am so thankful for sinclaire they keep the gas prices in the Bakersfield region competitive. Anywhere there is no sinclair you will find high prices. Do them a favor and pick them , they are the only reason Arco and shell at the next exits have cheap gas. The Sinclair on the east side of the road is cheaper than the one on the west side. Check gas buddy.

good luck trying to use the women s bathroom here had a sign saying closed for cleaning i asked them how long, the teenager with dirty fingernails said ten min ok i wait ten minutes to ask again how long she said oh idk, until im finished with the customers ummmmmmm okay ? theres three workers at subway for one customer and but no one cleaning the bathroom where the real line is forming. then she told me to just use the mens . guess thats what happens when you let a trio of lazy teenagers run the place

Came here get gas . Almost $7 a gallon right next to another gas station for $4.89. The bathroom was completely disgusting ! I almost threw up from the smell. It literally smelled like dead duck in there . Was dirty. Too bad. I almost got food from subway till I saw this !

Stayed the night in the parking spaces near the gas station to only wake up to a man screaming for his life, and everyone just watching as my girlfriend and i take charge and rush to try and save him, as everyone and even the employee watching and leaving to continue their job as a man was begging for help.Don't sleep, rest or even eat here as seeing people around doesnt mean your safe, you can and possibly will be the victim chosen and those people will just watch as you bleedout, wont even call the cops or assist by bringing napkins. Just no assistance at all, the only way they helped my girlfriend and I was to let us use the restrooms to wash the blood off

Taking advantage of its location by Stockdale Hwy and I-5, this Chevron is able to charge sky-high gas prices. Skip it as you'll save as much as a $1 per gallon not too far along I-5 either side. To add insult, after filling up with gas, the pumps won't give you a paper receipt and asks you to go in to the store to get it - a common tactic a lot of gas stations do, hoping that you'll buy some overpriced items in their store while you're in there.

Clean inside. Trying to get gas.. EXCRUCIATINGLY SLOW pumps (3 of us used the restrooms and when we were all done, only 3 gallons of gas had pumped). Tried 2 different pumps. Both were slow. Had to go inside to get our receipt (3x). Told the attendants that the pumps were slow and they said that if we ever had problems like that again, the could help us. Like I don't know how to pump gas???? If for pit stop, good. For gas, very expensive gas and slow pumps

The girl at the counter was so rude! And she looks like she just rolled out of bed! Her Subway shirt was filthy & she was all laughs & jokes when she's BSing with the other girl behind the counter. I asked her about the price on my water because I couldn't see if it was the 2/$4 because a group of girls were standing in front of the refrigerator doors. She scanned it & said, " no". So I said ok, then how much are they? And she said, "I guess 5"... ok... that's fine I'll take them & I handed her another item which she scanned & tossed back at me. I looked at her & just kind of cocked my head to the side. She didn't make eye contact & acted like I was being an imposition for her. I'm really sorry she had to do her job for 5 minutes! I paid & even that was a rude ordeal. As I walked away I told that she should find another job where she's not so miserable! There are many people looking for jobs! She should be thankful to have an income! Never stopping here again! And I wouldn't want her making my food! Filthy!

Pulled off the I-5 to stop for the night at Vagabond Inn (Buttonwillow) which is about halfway down to Long Beach, and wandered over to this Chevron for beer and some dice to play with friends and the kids before bed. They were sold out of playing cards (unfortunately) but dice were only $2.89 so we played 1s and 5s a few times before crashing. Gurinder was the friendly cashier and the store was clean and well-lit. I've stopped in here several times before and always had a good experience! Definitely stop up the road a few miles north for gas though (stations in the town of Lost Hills are very cheap and this stop is over $1 more per gallon)

I can not express how happy I am that I stopped at this gas station. On my way back to the bay area from a camping trip in Joshua Tree, me and my friend pulled into this establishment before heading on the 5 North. Disheveled and disoriented from 5 days of camping in freezing temperatures, I left my wallet in the bathroom stall. It was not until 3 hours later near Palo Alto that I realized my wallet was gone. I scrambled to remember where I had left it, and realized I left on the toilet paper dispenser at the Chevron in Bakersfield. Luckily I purchased some gas there before losing my wallet, so I was able to track their address from my bank statement. After trying to call a few times, Dhanna, one of the employees, answered the phone, and after I explained the situation, assured me that my wallet would be safe and we would figure out a way to return it to me. Dhanna then gave me the personal contact info of his co-worker, Mohit, who actually found my wallet. I began texting with Mohit and Mohit offered to mail me my wallet via UPS. I offered to give them a reward to show them my gratitude, but in the true fashion of a tzadik, they refused any reward, and told me instead to go volunteer at a homeless shelter and distribute food to the needy. I do not know if I will ever meet these people, but I am truly grateful. It gives me hope in the turning of the new year that there is still kindness and goodness in the world.

I asked the clerk behind the counter Alma said about the Chevron app, and that it doesn't work at this Chevron, and she said "Well, that's something that's not important to me, so it really doesn't matter to me". Great job at finding the most worthless person in this city to work here.

***TRICKY gas price signs MAKE motorists UPSET.*****BE AWARE!!!There is 20 cent difference between on BIG sign and pumps.There are 2 gas price signs,One is BIG and BRIGHT (lighting) sign located at first entrance from highway another is smaller than this and no lighting .This ONE stat I am giving rate is TOO high ,I want to give rate HALF if there is.The price of both signs is ONLY for CASH but you can not find on Big sign.Refer to posted pictures.

Very clean. One of the cleanest Ive ever been to. Has a Blimpie and fried chicken inside. Coffee, fresh brew tea, and oatmeal maker. Lots of snacks.

Do not stop here. They advertise false gas price on the app. They use up to 20% bio diesel and even that was priced way more than others with only 5%

Bathrooms are disgusting. Wife and daughter said women's bathroom have an indescribable smell to it.
