I am so encouraged and thankful for finding an honest mechanic! I was so concerned that my ac was out and the cost would be extremely expensive since everything under the sun this summer has skyrocketed. Sergio the mechanic who checked my car was honest, straight forward, and genuinely thorough in explaining the diagnosis. Technically I didn t have any physical work done on my car yet, but I m certainly coming back for future service AND I m definitely recommending Castro s Auto Diesel & Tire Repair to all my friends and church family. #BLESSED Service: Air conditioning

We had an accident and this place is the only place that opens on the weekend on Bakersfield. They called to try to find the parts for us, they stayed open longer to make sure we don t have to be stuck in town. They are professional, speedy, reasonably priced and they go out of their way to help you and fix your vehicle. I would recommend this place to anybody! Erika at the desk is super nice and helpful, their service is 5 stars! This is where you need to go for car problems!

Took in my pickup thinking it had a bad brake booster. Sergio took a look at it and it was actually a bad master cylinder. Sergio was honest from the get go and got me back on the road that same afternoon not to mention at a reasonable price. Glad I came across this shop great customer service from the office receptionist to Sergio and his workers will definitely be coming back for any future auto related repairs.

Honest mechanics answered all the questions .He let me know that the car didn't need nothing major to be fixed and it can be brought back when it was needed .Not like most mechanics that wrongly diagnose cars and try to steal your money.Would definitely recommend Castros auto shop10/10Services: Vehicle Inspection, Vehicle safety inspection

I called today and got a quote about my issue pretty quick.I got there and was greeted promptly and was quickly helped with my issue. He also answered all my questions I had about my car and his answers were honest and experienced. He also checked all my tires/ brakes and whatever else I asked about. It was half the price I got quoted by chains and other shops around. From the call to my issue fixed in less than an hour and issue has been fixed after checking and trying to replicate my rotor/brake pad noises.Will recommend to anyone who wants a quick, professional, inexpensive shop!

This mechanic is not good, I gave him to fix the band and another day my transmission broke and right now I took the van to get it fixed because I am a disabled person and what happened is that he has not answered to bring me the van on his phone number, no answer, I don't know what's better. He already stole my van.I really don't know what I'm going to do because I have to buy another van is so expensive for disabled people

We had a serious problem after an accident when we were driving up to Sequoia one weekend in July- we were stranded and Castros literally saved our vacation, my car and my wallet! Sergio is incredibly fast, polite and professional and his wife Erika is beyond charming, helpful and generous- I might consider driving up from LA for future big ticket car problems- they are THAT GOOD! Thank you Castros!

Just WOW! I showed up with a replacement a/c compressor/clutch on a very hot day expecting the mechanic would tell me to make an appointment and come back another day. WRONG, immediately he asked if I needed my A/C working now and of course I replied yes. 1 hour later I was driving away with my A/C at full blast. I drive a 1996 Toyota Camry, so he suggested a few things the car needs, being an older car of course. But their rates are great and the service is TOP NOTCH.Service: A/C installation & repair

Made an appointment over the phone for my wife's 2013 odyssey on 4/20/22. They told me to come in 4/21 at 8:30am appointment. I had to work so my wife brought it in 8:30 a.m. .the mechanic was not there and no one spoke English. They told her to come back in a couple hours. Where I come from an appointment is an appointment and if it isn't available it is canceled. Now we are another day without a working vehicle. I was travelling from Las Vegas to San Francisco and my 2008 Honda Pilot started having electrical issues. I got stock on the freeway and fortunately, Castro's Auto Shop was open on Saturday. My vehicle was towed from Tehachapi to Castro's in Bakersfield. The communication with the owner was awesome and they waited for me so they can troubleshoot the vehicle. Long story short, they replaced the Alternator (and Radiator because it's old and worn). I was back on the road within 3 hours! I was looking for Juan and ended up going to the one next door that wasn t Juan haha but they repaired my differential leak and repaired my snapped bolt on the transmission pan and replaced the bolt with a new bolt and compressed the pan evenly to the transmission in less than 5 hours for $300! I was always afraid to let someone work on my car because I heard bad things about mechanics, rumors about they fix things and then break something else or rumors of them stealing gas from your car or even you paying them for doing nothing to it but these guys proved what people said about mechanics wrong. My gas was still full and They gave me proof that they fixed my car, they gave me the old seal that I had on the differential that was covered with RTV paste that I did a couple days ago haha and they are really nice people they talk Spanish and English, really kind and negotiable, 10/10 nice job coming back to put on performance racing CV axles !

Came to this shop on a whim after getting our car scuffed up. Everyone was friendly and professional. Sergio was the one who looked at our car. He was great!! 10/10 I recommend this place to anyone who needs a shop!

Sergio and his staff are very professional and very helpful, l am from Washington and my truck broke down in California, l am glad l meet sergio, now thanks to his knowledge as a mechanic, l am back with my family. I took my car in to get a fan belt replace I didn't have a ride without a problem they gave me a ride to my house along with my daughter and my dog I would definitely recommend I know that is not my last time I will be visiting very happy customer highly satisfied
