I came in 2/27/24 with a complete flat, I barely made it here. It was the closest shop to prevent me being stranded on the side of the road. I showed up parked and my tire was to the rim, I pulled my baby out of the car and with no hesitation the worker assisted me right away. I immediately thought the worst (new tire $$) praying for the best. ERNESTO helped me out told me it was patchable, the wait was a little long but worth it. Once I was all complete, he told me the charge. I was not ready for it (previous big brand customer) I was scavenging my change to pay the fee. Ernesto handed me the receipt and told me it was on him. I cried, I was already emotional from being pregnant, with a toddler, and my flat tire. Going from an overwhelming day just to this simple gesture ill remember for a lifetime. Ill be back with my car needs! Thank you again Ernesto, I don't think you know how much you helped that day!

I came in today (Tuesday 12:00) as a walk in, I brought two vehicles for an oil change, they found a deal they were running $33 each with taxes out the door, they stated it would be 45 minutes for each vehicle they finished both vehicles in 45 minutes, this included the oil change, new filter, tire rotation and DOT vehicle safety inspection, they gave me a print out on what needed to be fixed on one of my vehicles. They also gave me some very helpful information on the smog for one of my vehicles. They were very knowledgeable, kind, courteous and respectful. Great customer service, great pricing, and fast. I would highly recommend coming here, I will definitely be back.

I went to Big O Tires in coffee Road Bakersfield. Hands down to the efficiency & friendly attitude of the staff. Jaycob, Jose, Omar & Francisco delivered exemplary service. I passed my smog test today & these gentlemen made my experience with this shop A+++.

After calling to see if they honored a oil change coupon, they said yes on the phone then changed their mind in the store. Then tacked on 4 additional parts that weren't needed. THEY DO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!!!

Went in for an Oil change ( Full synthetic )special! Great service by Otoniel! Helped me and answer all my questions thoroughly. Even suggested other free services available at the time with my service. Overall great customer services and fast service.

Drove out to Bakersfield from LA in my bf s little 2004 Scion which I use all the time. When I went to drive back home the car wouldn t start. Lights come on but engine won t turn over. Called AAA for a jump. It wouldn t jump. AAA guy was even nice enough to put a brand new battery in that he had in his truck and try to jump it then to see if it was a battery issue and it still wouldn t start with a new battery. So probably a starter or alternator problem, not battery he said.Had it towed to my friends house, asked the AAA tow guy to recommend a reasonable local place to take my car tomorrow morn to while we were driving he said maybe Big O Tires? I call first thing the next day to see if my issue was something they could deal with. Talked to a Tony, he said, yep, bring the car in ASAP. Towed it to Big O. $165 they say just to see what s wrong. Then he calls me and tells me they need to put a new battery in and it still wouldn t start so it s probably a new starter I need. So with diagnostics, new battery, starter, parts/labor $762. That seems crazy. I asked him how much it would be without a new battery and he says car won t work without a new battery too, it s dead. Hmmm. I call my bf to discuss the repairs and he comes to the same conclusion I do, I m pretty much hostage to this place. What am I supposed to do, get it towed somewhere else, again? After already getting charged $165 for diagnostics, which I ll probably get charged again at a new place? I called back to authorize the work and get someone else on the phone who I explain the situation to and this new dude seems incredulous that the AAA guy from the night before just happened to have a new battery on his truck to test mine out when he came to jumpstart my car. But. True story bro. Why is that so hard to believe? They jumpstart cars for a living. But anyway I tell Tony to go ahead and fix it all at the $763 because I felt like he wasn t going to let me drive out of there otherwise. Remember he told me car won t drive without a new battery. Hour or two later they say my car is ready. I get there there s no one at the front desk. I wait a few minutes before signaling someone in the repair part of the shop. Tony comes up, I get charged the $763, I tell him I want the old battery. Sure, no problem but that ll be an additional $19 for core charge. I call my bf to see if he wants the ADDITIONAL charge on top of everything else and we re so broke from medical debt already he s like screw it, just leave the battery and come home. I google the cost of the parts of what was replaced for a 2004 Scion. Big O Tires charges 2-3x the going rate.So, all in all, here is the breakdown:3.5 hour wait.Diagnostic: $82.50Battery replacement labor: $65.99New battery: $190New starter labor: $115.50New starter: $269 (!!)Tax: $37.86Total: $762.83Whether it was absolutely necessary to get a new battery (despite AAA saying no) aside, feeling bullied into it and held hostage over a barrel, the cost of the parts alone is outrageous.Looks like mechanics make about $25 an hour on average so all of that extra $ is more than likely going to their corporate overlords, (although maybe they get commission.)There s running a good business with fair work for a fair price then there s upcharging 3x the cost of things and taking advantage of desperate people. Good ol American capitalism I guess. But don t come here if you re not looking to get ripped off. :/

I drove to Big O Tires on a flat and explained to the guy at the desk my valve on my tire was bad and needed to be replaced. I was told it would be 20 minutes to an hour to have it replaced so I left my vehicle and told them I would return when they called me. 2 hours later I called them and they told me another 20 minutes. When I get there the guy at the front desk tells me he will not replace my valve if I don't buy a tire from them. Nothing was wrong with the tire PERIOD. I couldn't believe that not only did he waste 3 hours of my time but tried to make me buy a new tire for $150. I will never return. I drove 1 mile up the road and got my valve fixed for $15. Thank God there are some honest people around and it's not at Big O Tires. Total disappointment.

The customer service rep "Tony" was super cool.. he was definitely knowledgeable and made you feel at ease when purchasing! Most tire shops make me feel like I'm being conned at this place I felt educated and steered the right way!

I received great customer service from Otoniel Valencia. He showed me the best tires for my vehicle, Michelin Defender, and replaced them the same day. The waiting time was about an hour and a half but worth the wait because I wanted a peace of mind driving home. I also appreciate the technician who replaced my tires, Edward Alsina. The ride home was smooth and it was worth the investment on buying those tires. Thank You Both!

Upsides outweigh the downsides...Uspsides: Great service, terrific customer service and abundantly fair pricing. I definitely recommend! Downsides: Best to leave your vehicle if you're having extended services. Don't wash your car before visit, I had to do a little exterior clean up when I got home (granted with a completely and professionally repaired car). I'll definitely go back and absolutely intend this to be a positive review but wouldn't be completely honest if I didn't include the extensive time in the (comfortable) customer lounge and need to do a little post-visit exterior cleaning.

If you want to be rip off. This is the place to come. They will lie to your face with a big smile. I took my truck due I had one of my new tires to be fixed because a small nail and my tire warning light came on. They told me the tire can not be fixed it that I needed to buy a new tire. Lies, Lies. They assured me, they will check all my tires to the proper air pressure and reset the warning light if a buy the new tire. I accepted. When I told them that the warning light still on, I was told with a big smile to drive it for a while and the warning light will turn off. Warning light never turn off, Big lie sensor will work immediately.I came back a day after, so they could finish they job. They told me they were over book to come back another day. I went a total different shop, New shop got on it right away and they checked the tires, they found out Big O did not have the proper air pressure, the new shop have all my tires with proper air pressure and reset warning light in less than 5 minutes. Be careful of this place.

Definitely would not recommend this shop to anyone . They will help make situations with your car worse than it is so that you can come back with them and spend more money. Come for an oil change on a Monday and by Friday morning my check engine light was flashing and car started to drag and stall while driving . That had never happened beforehand until after having service with this shop. Stay aware and updated. This specific location I would not recommend to anyone . I most definitely will not have service here anymore. Thank me later :)

I wont go back, left oil on my hood and then I told one of the advisors that they left oily hand prints on my car and he had the odacity to say well the rest of the car is dirty . How disrespectful, I can t beleive the level of disrespect I got here, really poor communication between me and the advisors and I got an oil change and they didn t even reset my service interval. Horrible service, horrible work, won t ever go back.

My elderly mother bought tires from this shop. She has had multiple problems with the valve stems. Today she had to have her car towed in to get the tire fixed. She called in advance and asked if they would rotate and balance them which was part of the package when she bought the tires. She was told that they would. She just called me very upset because they told her the valve stem was fixed but they didn t have time to rotate and balance them and she needed to come pick up her car. They were very rude to her and got her very upset. They did not honor their word and did not do what they said they would do. I would highly recommend people avoid giving them their business.Update: They responded to my review asking for my contact information so someone could contact me. I provided my number and never heard from anyone. They obviously do not take customer service seriously.

Beware if you're a woman they will take advantage of you and purposely mess your car up so you'll come back and recieve more of their scamming services. I brought my car in for a SIMPLE balance and rotation on my tires since my car had a slight vibration I wanted to try to correct. After they're done with the balance I think good my car is ready for a long road trip. Nope I was so wrong my car now shakes even worst than before and the alignment is off very bad I have a brand new suspension on my car and it was fine before I came here. I have no idea what they did but they ruined my car. They'll also try to con you into paying an extra 25 dollars some way by telling you that you need a new air filter or there is a nail in your tire. These guys are bad business and want to pocket what they can get. I am done with big o tires.

I ve taken my car here for many different services and the people are always friendly and the work is done well. However it doesn t seem like appointments are taken seriously, it s incredibly frustrating. I m always waiting 2+ hours for them just to get to my car while they work on cars that got there after I did

I needed help coming back from LA to Sacramento and I had a major leak in my tire. I called Big Brand Tire and they told me they did not have time to help. I called them because my tire was running flat and I did not know where to go or where I was in Bakersfield and they did nothing. I called Big O tires and they told me to come on in and they would do whatever it took to get me on my way. Tony and team did a great job.

I called Tony because we needed immediate inspection. Our brakes were making this airplane sound and thankfully Tony agreed to see what was going on last minute. We found out the brake pad was nearly gone and Tony and his team was able to order the parts and get us in the road. I m very grateful for Tony and his team because we were able to get on the road quickly!

Made an appointment today but it seems like that didn't matter because they were taking the cares in as they arrived. I waited there for my car. I went outside and seen my car outside as service was completed. Who knows how long it was waiting out there. Someone went up to the counter and asked if their car was done as I waited in line to ask as well. She got there after me and they said hers was done. I wish they could be on top of it and let you know when your car is complete versus you having to ask if your car is ready. Also, their restroom doesn't have a changing table. I know its not a place for kids but I wish they would consider that as some people can't just drop off the car and return later to pick it up.

Wonderful staff! Everyone is beyond friendly and helpful. I took my car here because I had nails in my tires. They took care of everything for free and in less than 30 mins! I will definitely come back if I need any other services and will recommend to others!

These guys have always been a big help to the community . Theres been times where iv had flats or needed a patch and they were always on it .Very honest and reliable people . Today they helped remove a kitten that was under my car in the skid plate . I hadnt been able to get it out and these guys helped rescue it . The manager is a very honest man and i appreciate the team for helping rescue the cat .

Big O tires on Ming is the only place I ll take my car! Everyone is always very nice and greets me accordingly. They are quick and efficient. A few times they ve came out to my car in the parking lot and did minor work or gave helpful advise at no charge! After a few visits they recognized me and addressed me by my first name. Love this place!

Would give zero or negative stars if i could. The are refusing to patch a tire 30 mins before they close even though they said they would When i called. They said as lo g as i got there 30mins before they closed no later. Now im scrambling trying to find a shop.

Worst store. Due to getting an alignment and tires yesterday then heard something pop in the front end after driving over 30 miles back home then noticed my car pulling to the right. Contacted the store today and told them of issue and asked if I could take my car back in after getting off work at 2:30 and was told ya but I contacted the store after getting off work to confirm before driving over 30 miles. Was told they couldn't get to it today. I prefer the store on white lane.

We went in for an all wheel alignment and they called my husband to let him know he needed 2 other services to help the alignment work best for his truck. It only took a couple hours to do all the work and we were back on the road. Very Friendly Staff!! Well worth the money

Went in with great hopes that the service's i requested would be done. Left the shop with a nail in my tire after asking to have my tires rotated, no one told me i had a nail. I new i had a low tire so it would get aired up right, wrong still there and due to a nail. I would have bought tires if needed no one told me anything. So back to the guy ive always used on the other side of town. Really hoped this store would have worked out 2 minutes from my house.
