Took my 2019 WRX FA20 to Snail for a tune and was not disappointed. Made the two hour drive out to Auburn, and I don't regret doing so. Snail has a reputation in the Subaru world for a reason. Service advisor was Ryan, and he was a breeze to work with. Everyone on the team is friendly and knowledgable, and won't make you feel like an idiot when you ask questions that they probably get every day. Travis did an amazing job with my tune, and the feels like a rocket now. Would highly recommend Snail or M45 to anyone in the market for service or a tune!

Travis's tunes are no joke. They provide the power and reliability. Drove from LA to get tuned. Had a fun drive back and the following day I had to drive 8 hours to Reno and it did not skip a beat at all. Stayed there for a couple days then headed to San Franciso for a few hours & then I had to drive back to LA that same day. Car ran strong as it should. Don't hesitate to get a tune from Travis, you won't regret it.It amazes me how better the car drives than my last tune from Cody @ Low Boost Performance in Reno.APPRECIATE YOU TRAVIS, YOU DA MAN!!Service: Auto engine tuning

Locating a competent shop let alone a performance tuning service is stressful. Travis and Troy had me at ease within the first few minutes of my visit to Snail Performance. While purpose driven both are easy to talk too, knowledgeable and patient; basically not D***s. Travis listened to what my assumed goals were for the car and did what he could within reason. He didn't chastise me for perhaps some poor parts choices and passed on his thoughts without pressure. Will be back when a change requires it. Thanks Gents!Service: Auto engine tuning

Just took my '21 wrx to Snail Performance and M45 on Monday 3-28-22, I'm one of many who tries to find a reputable tuner- after thorough research on forms and reddit I come across several positive posts about Snail Performance. I reside in the Bay Area, and am willing to go for a drive to a trusted place- which was almost a 3 hour drive for me but worth it. I like that this place is paired up with M45 which is a shop that'll do the hands on work if you need anything installed or fixed before getting a protune, which is very convenient. I worked with Seth from M45, he assisted me with everything I needed to get this WRX on the rollers- he's a cool guy and a pleasure to work with. Travis is the CEO of Snail Performance and the master of protune, and willing to take time to talk about the tune and gives a lot of pointers- highly knowledgeable. The protune he loaded on this WRX is straight up boss, granted I have several bolt on mods and can significantly tell the difference from the OTS vs the protune. I have zero complaints and would highly recommend both Snail Performance and M45 for your Subaru needs, hands down.Service: Auto engine tuning

Here is all you need to know: Travis is HONEST, PROFESSIONAL, and KNOWLEDGEABLE! I couldn't have asked for anything more, he fixed many issues I had with my previous tune and my car has never ran better. 10/10 experience.

Robert here with a moded gt86. I waited a bit to see if the tune held up and boy did it ever. I went here to see Travis about a month ago to tune my car after I read all the reviews and let me tell you they are right this man knows is stuff. Not only did he not sugar coat anything and tell me exactly what my platform and mods could handle he squeezed all the performance out of it and kept it reliable. It has been a month and it's like a whole new car!! Been loving every mile I drive.

I could not have asked for better service! I had worked late and couldn't call them to leave my car out for pick up. I called and messaged Mr. Smith after 5 p.m. after closing. He or another staff member had driven back to the shop to park my car in a safe location for me to pick it up. I live in Redding so It's a bit of a drive. I was so grateful for such service. There are good people in this world. Thank you for everything. I will differently be coming back!

Travis is definitely the best at what he does. Being a good tuner is great but the fact that he answered all my questions and explained the dyno graph makes him an outstanding tuner. He also went out of his way to have some of the mechanics look at a check engine light and coolant leak. They were able to fix the both problem too. I left knowing I had nothing to worry about. Travis and the M45 team are the best. It was definitely worth the 2 hour drive and I will be coming back.

First time going to Snail Performance to get my 2019 WRX tuned and I'm impress by their quality of work and professionalism. John and Travis kindly explained what was need to get my car ready for the tuned and explained the process of tuning the car. They were both very informative and were willing to answer all of my questions and concerns. Tuning the car itself didn't take long and you will be in and out of the shop before you know it. After tuning the car, Travis will contact you to make sure the car is running good and will make any adjustment to the tune.I will definitely be using Snail Performance services in the future for all of my maintenance and performance upgrade!Services: Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Brakes, Air conditioning, Oil change

First time going to snail performance to tune my rallycross car. Dropped off and picked up.Travis was either emailing or calling me to see how I wanted to go about my parts an tune. Travis gave me a better understanding why we didn't need to put a couple parts into the car,saving me time and money.He ordered me a sweet flex fuel kit and produced a great reliable tune. Ryan from customer service kept me up to date. I came to pick up the car yesterday and everything sounds a lot better and no engine lights where on. Drove a little over 2 hours to have my Infiniti Q50 tuned by Travis and I am thoroughly impressed. My car is running better than ever with a little more power now. I've got nothing but great things to say about this shop. They tuned my car and made sure I was ready for the tune. Everybody there is super friendly/ super knowledgeable and I would not recommend anybody to go anywhere else but snail performance. I had my car tuned previously(multiple times) but the tune from snail performance really set the bar really high. I can see why people drive hours just to get their car tuned by Travis! He has a ton of Subaru knowledge and is happy to share his knowledge with everyone.I had my car protuned it was a rollercoaster of an experience. Travis is very professional and keeps in touch with his clients after the tune to make sure the car is running solid and to answer any questions that you may have.During my tune appointment, Travis found various issues with my car such as a bad coilpacks in Cylinder 3, 4, a bad MAF sensor and symptoms of a bad fuel pump. He was able to schedule me in with M45 Automotive to repair the bad coilpacks and MAF sensor. After these repairs were done, Travis completed my tune with the only issue being that my fuel pump is showing symptoms of failure. He mentioned this after the tune and kept in touch with me answering all my questions about my tune and my car.Travis and I are still in touch for any questions that I may such as "What modifications should I add next to my car?" or "I am looking to purchase another Subaru, what should I look for?"I will definitely be working with Travis in the future to create a gameplan on how to make more power for my car and push it to its full potential.Service: Auto engine tuning

My first visit was fantastic. I found the shop on google and highly recommend their services. The folks are articulate, patient, methodical and operate at a military efficiency as they work on cars throughout the day. They explained what they would do during the day and when it would be available. It was a big job, they beat their time estimate. Good find.Services: Exhaust, Auto engine tuning

Car: 2013 STI Hatch. Stage 2I thought my entire experience working with Travis at Snail Performance was amazing from start to finish. Their dyno room is top notch and you can tell they have put a fair amount of money into the room/set up.During the tune Travis made me feel like I was a part of the entire process and took the time to answer all of my questions. I also found Travis to be super responsive to any emails I sent before or after my tune. The M45 staff was also great and super friendly.This is my second experience with Snail Performance and my friends with WRX/STI's have used them too. Every dollar my friends and I spend here was well worth it. I live in the bay area and if I found out Travis/Snail Performance was moving father away I would not mind driving to wherever they are.Service: Auto engine tuning

Got my sti Blessed by Travis. I am new to the Subaru community and I ask Travis plenty of question and also ask for parts recommendations even with his busy schedule he still found a way to reply to me. I had my car towed to M45 (which is 90 miles away )with a check engine light and Travis and the m45 crew was able to fix the problem. He knows what he s doing and is very good at what he does. When I drove the car after the tune my car felt the best it has ever felt. While I was driving it home I just had huge smile on face kinda like how I felt driving it home from the dealership. I highly recommend Snail performance to anyone who want to get a tune and m45 automotive for installs and any car related work. Once AGAIN LET TRAVIS MAKE SOME JAM FOR YOU!!
