This guy should be turned into the bar for automotive work. A month ago i took my truck there wich he said i needed a new engine.After checking my dianostic. He said it will never pass smog.That i needed a new motor and it will cost 8-9 grand. He was so wrong. 5 star automitive fixed my truck for 800 .00 dollars. Stay away from quality auto. Hw will rip you off.

This shop is the best shop I have ever taken my truck to. My truck has over 300,000 miles on it so that is saying a lot. A Ford dealership that I had my truck towed into had my truck for 2 weeks and charged me over $2,000 to tell me I needed a new engine. Having taken care of my truck and experiencing nothing leading up to this I was in shock.I was referred to Quality Automotive by a mechanic who is a friend of my step-sons. Talked with Darren and had the truck towed into their shop and they had it fixed within 3 business days for less than Ford charged me to tell me I needed a new engine.I have a 6.0 Ford F250 and they know that engine better than any shop I have used.I was also given some recommendations on some other things I should have fixed, but wasn't needed at that moment. I took my truck back about a month later and had those repairs done and my truck runs better than it has in years.This review is long overdue as this all happened in October, but I can't thank them enough for all their great work and thorough explanations of everything. Our 2007 F350 has developed several major mechanical issues over the last couple of years. When the first issue occurred, I enquired around to attain information concerning local repair shops. Quality Automotive was recommended by several different sources. Based on that research I chose to have our truck towed to Quality Automotive. From my initial interaction with Darren I have found him to be patient with my many questions, to provide thorough explanations, and to be straightforward, knowledgeable, truthful, respectful, and friendly. He is a hard worker. He takes the extra effort to make sure his analysis and work are done right. His estimates regarding costs and the dates of completion of various segments of the work he has accomplished for me have been reasonable and accurate... with the only exception being that he has completed some of the work he was accomplishing EARLY. Working with Darren and his staff goes smoothly and is stress-free. He and his crew have gone out of their way to make having our truck repaired easier and more convenient for us than it would have been at other shops. I have been extremely satisfied with the work that has been accomplished at Quality Automotive and I will not hesitate to have future work done by Quality Automotive should I ever need to have additional work done.Service: Auto maintenance

Sherrie, Darren, and Chris got me the parts I needed from Bullet Proof Diesel as well as other parts they recommended. I told them I was going to be completing the install of the BPD oil cooler conversion for the first time and they took the time to give me tips and advice on completing this project. This lead to a hassle free install for myself and the truck is running great. I took it back to them to recharge the AC Services: Auto A/C recharge, Auto engine diagnostic

Taken my truck here 3 times and very satisfied with service. They're very thorough when explaining issues with my vehicle. Not sure its less expensive than the Ford dealership in Auburn but the customer service is A+. I highly recommend this business

After driving all over Sacramento trying to find a Independent Ford Specialist I found Quality AutoMotive in Auburn, it was over an hour drive but definitely worth my time. Darren was very helpful and was able to assure me they d be able to fix the issue on my vehicle. The staff was very friendly and professional. Even on a busy day and tight schedule Darren was able to have my vehicle diagnosed and repaired in less than 2 hours. We broke down while on vacation and had to get towed. The repair shop that the tow truck company took us to was able to diagnose the problem but not fix it. After looking around online and finding the excellent reviews and talking to Darren, He told us they are busy as well but would try to look at it before we had to drive back home. Excellent service not only was able to get us back up and running but fix our Ford F-250 Truck and correct what could have been a server problem as well. We can say enough Great things about the service, quality Ford Parts and excellent repairs.Service: Engine repair

Great service and excellent staff!! Would highly recommend to get your 2000 or newer truck serviced. Darrin was super informative on everything that needed to be done and did great work. Had them fix a oil leak on my truck guy said it should stop leaking within a few weeks with there being residual on it, but it s been almost a year and it still leaks disappointed with it being the price I paid.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

I was referred to this repair shop by a co-worker. They have been taking their truck to this shop for 8 years, and are very satisfied with their work. I have been to many repair shops since moving here two years ago, I highly recommended them. They did a great job, and when it comes time or the need arises, I will return. Their staff is very professional, and the entire operation is first class.

I called asking for a quote to replace glow plugs and injectors. After a few minutes, the gentleman suggested not to do that but go with some simple solutions first. I appreciate that!

These guys are hands down the most professional, honest and friendly mechanic shop I have ever gone to. They are so good even one of local shops recommended them for any diesel needs, but I ended servicing and repairing all my other gas cars their as well. They will take care of all your mechanic needs! No need to go anywhere else!
