Good machine shops are getting increasingly difficult to find. It seems like many of what are left run weeks or months behind building race engines or other specialty applications. I've had Moore's do some cylinder head work for me and he did a fine job for a reasonable price with decent turnaround time. He's practical and upfront about what to expect and has alot of experience. I literally drive over an hour each way because I trust they'll do a good job.

I would push my car off a cliff before attempting to work with this guy again. Slooooooooow. He had my motor and all the new parts, I supplied, over a month when he told me , "So far we are at $2,100.00" when he had initially verbally quoted $1,500.00. After 2.5 months, it still wasnt finished, he had every excuse imaginable, I had to threaten a lawsuit. When I finally got my head and block back, there was no charge! Because, he had done very little to it. . . AFTER 2.5 MONTHS? Where was the $2,100 worth of work he was grooming me to pay?Took it to someone else and it was done in 10 days for $1,200.00. He doesn't provide written estimates upfront, the shop is only open 4 days per week, they NEVER answer the phone. You have to stop by for updates, motors are all over the place, he over promises and under delivers, grooming you to over pay. Trust my warning. If you aren't a shop, stay away. Now, just watch. . . Moore's shop will spend more time responding with excuses for this poor review than they ever did on my motor. They will never be accountable with a response that reads, "Unfortunately we pushed this motor behind our SHOPS we do business with multiple times and 2.5 months is unacceptable to only have machining done, we negatively impacted this customer's relocation timeline and we apologize and why there was no charge."They are very defensive and that will never happen.

Rebuilt the cylinder head on ourE-46 BMW 325I for very fair price and a decent turnaround time 10 days. I was hoping for a week but it didn t happen that way. All-around highl level knowledge, honest, fair price , good service and quality workmanship. Highly recommend!!And he s a great person.Service: Engine repair

Ive had nothing but spectacular results from Moore s. As a shop owner that has bounced from nightmare to more nightmare machine shops, it is quite the breath of fresh air to work with Moore s. Every engine I have brought here has come back with the most precise work I ve seen to date, and Rich is such a pleasure to work with! Rich is the best.I love his knowledge about everything and he's willing to just do what you want done and you can do the rest yourself. Only thing is everybody loves him so much that he is totally slammed all the time so don't expect a quick turnaround.

I'm a DYI mechanic and do my own engine work partially as a hobby and to save money. I recently had my 06 Subaru EJ25 heads re-manufactured at Moore's. I was impressed with the quality of their work, their turn-around time and also the reasonable price. Got the engine back together, and my Subaru is running like it was brand new. Will definitely do more business with this shop in the future!

Brought my 2005 ford mustang GT heads in to get cleaned up and resurfaced and even though they were slammed they still managed to get it done in only a couple hours and did more than just a quality job they did it at a super affordable price too.

Top notch quality. Had heads decked to raise compression and they knew the proper amount to remove from intake side so that all the ports line up properly. Will definitely take more work there in the future.

Rich was very helpful and knowledgeable he did a full valve job on my Subaru heads costumer service was great job was done quick and proper
