I called 5 different shops and nobody was willing to work on my 73 International due to its age. One shop even told me to expect to have it fully rebuilt instead of fixing the leak. Jr s transmission happily took on the job and got it fixed. Guy working the front counter was helpful and kept in contact. I d recommend them to anyone needing transmission repair.

Great shop. I have been in the automotive industry for 25 years. These guys did what they said they were going to do for the price they quoted me in a timely fashion. Good honest people. Rare breed these days. No need to look elsewhere.

As a shop owner who replaces transmissions, we exclusively use JR's for any transmission work. They have been the best, I've been in the business 35 years and no other transmission shop has been better, more reliable or knowledgeable. These guys are gentlemen and professional. They let me leave my car there for 2 weeks while I looked for the right part and went above and beyond through the whole process. I bought my Ram 3500 knowing I would be needing some transmission work and had tried out a couple different places before I found JR's which was unfortunate. It is difficult finding a good reputable transmission shop these days but these guys are great. Saved me thousands from the other shops I checked with first. The truck is driving great now and I will have the piece of mind towing our trailer whenever and wherever we need to. These guys do fantastic work! I brought in a customized Toyota truck in need of a trans rebuild and clutch replacement. I drove it 2000 miles the next week. They far exceeded my expectations and the truck runs and drives better than ever. If you re in need of great customer service and exceptional work look no further.

Tremendous, I cant recommend enough. I worked with Hayden when my car broke down on I-80 during a trip to Tahoe. He was kind enough to fit me in as promptly as possible to diagnose the issue, keeping my trip somewhat on track and providing great peace of mind. It was a blown transmission which I brought home to repair using my local mechanic, but Hayden diagnosed and helped me sort through options and next steps and charging nothing! The establishment was professional, personable, and just plain enjoyable to work with especially considering the circumstances. Thank you again for the help!

The transmission on my 1990 F250 went out and a friend of mine who is a retired Auburn transmission guy recommended JR s and I m glad he did. They got me in right away, kept me informed about the progress of the repair, and did a great job at the exact price they quoted me. Friendly folks and great service!

JR's has the best reputation in town for transmission work so they were my first call for a transmission rebuild for my old-faithful commuter.I called around to get comparable estimates and the next best price i was offered was a range of 3 to 4 times the quote from JR's.The staff was very friendly and professional, and the work was completed 2 days ahead of schedule. I don't anticipate any problems but I have the utmost confidemce that they would stand behind their work if I did run into any trouble. Can't reccomend them highly enough!

We needed our transmission serviced. We didnt want to go all the way to Roseville to the dealership. I called a different shop first, in Auburn. They wanted to charge over $300. I called Monroe, for the same exact service it was $172!! They were really nice and had my car ready in a timely manner. I highly recommended Monroe!!

We spent a lot of time researching transmission shops to get a new transmission installed.We chose JR's due to how knowledgeable they were when we first talked.They went into great depth to explain what is needed and why along with what they do to improve the original parts that are being replaced.We have taken 2 of our cars so far and will be taking a 3rd.Highly recommended!

The guys at JR'S are awesome, did a great job on a full rebuild of my transmission. I was referred by a buddy who also had a rebuild done there. Competitive pricing, and exceptional work. I definitely recommend them for any of your transmission needs.

Had problem with Hurst 5 speed shifter on my 57 Chevy. Got excellent customer service, workmanship, and a fair price. There were a couple of choices on the fix and they explained my options very clearly. They were highly recommended to me by All Cycles in Georgetown. I m glad I took their recommendation 5 star satisfaction for sure.

JR s transmission did a fantastic job!! Exceptional customer service!! Very pleased with everything!! Would highly recommend them!! The total price was lower than what was originally quoted, so that was a pleasant surprise and they even told me what else the car needed done that their job doesn t repair.

Took our truck in on a Monday with no appointment. They rebuilt the transmission so fast.My wife picked her truck up on Friday of the same week. Getting ready to take it in for the 500 mile free check up. JR' transmission has always taken great care of us.

Finding an honest, dependable and "comfortable" transmission shop is scarier than finding a new dentist. The tranny on my 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 with 111,000 miles was shot. The former owner had done nothing in the way of maintenance. I read reviews, visited shops and did my homework, finally selecting JR's.There, they went into detail about what a rebuild entailed, the parts they used, time necessary for the work and the warranty to be provided. Original plastic parts would be replaced with metal and a 500 mile checkup included. I told them to do it.The work was accomplished on time, professionally...and pleasantly! I am delighted (a work that does not often fall out of my mouth) with both the entire procedure and the staff/mechanics at JR's.When you recommend someone, you put your own personal reputation on the line...I recommend them without reservation.

I am a return customer at Jr's Transmission and I have to say, they have always taken care of me! I recently went in for a transmission service and I waited in office with my 2 1/2 yr old and they were all so nice! They even gave him a mandarin to eat when they noticed him getting bored! I had a question about a noise that I had heard and the mechanic was more than happy to take my car for ANOTHER test drive to listen for said noise and gave me a run down on what it was that I may have heard. They always go above and beyond to make sure you are informed and comfortable with the work that is done and are also very friendly! I highly recommend them for all of your transmission needs!!

Our family have used JR's since the mid eighties (although thankfully not often) and have always had our vehicles transmissions fixed without issue.They had a good reputation and here's how I know they still do.Starting in '09 I had them do work on one vehicle that our family has an attachment to, more than it's actual value.This vehicle needed a transmission, I brought it into JR's who gave me a very reasonable price on a performance built transmission. It was stout and trouble free, until another shop convinced me it needed "an adjustment."That was after a few years, after the "adjustment" the transmission didn't last a hundred yards.Then it went back to JR's.They built another great performance transmission, this second trans had addressed my only complaint I had with the first trans and that was a really hard downshift into first when manually shifting.This one was sweet, it shifted smoothly into first but still chirped 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4!Loved it!However some time ago, my wife was driving it to work and lots of noise and grinding started coming from it. We had it towed home and while she wasn't too pleased, I was heartbroken. The transmissions were built well and JR's always charged very reasonably for these transmissions that were built to this level.Still understandably, my wife wasn't thrilled and it seemed to be becoming a big money hole. So this vehicle sat because it was long out of warranty and I really didn't want to throw anymore money into it if the trans wasn't going to last.One day, I decided to call JR's and see if they had any ideas.As I explained what was going on they asked how many miles I had on that trans. When I told them, they said that their transmissions should last longer.They said to me, "let us look at that.., you shouldn't have to change to a diffrent transmission."We had it towed in while fully expecting them to say, "your going to need a new transmission" and hit us between the eyes with another significant transmission bill.Now I had been studying up on this transmission, I found that it needed to have many significant upgrades to be made reliable in performance applications and that it really takes an expert to build these transmissions right.When JR's looked it over, they found that one of the upgraded parts let go.They then proceeded to quote us a super reasonable price to fix it and upgrade it further with an improved aftermarket part.So I asked if they had done X, Y and Z to test not only their knowledge but have they done it right and well.., they had, all along.Scott knew all about this transmission and it's secrets to handling power and had made all the best choices. Obviously the kind of person who does things right and takes great pride in his ability and knowledge.I have waited to write this review until I had an opportunity to put some miles on this latest one and it is yet another great trans.It shifts and responds great and I can still chirp all the gears, while first gear at a slow speed still has the sound of a turbine slowly winding up...Truly great work by JR's again and thanks for treating me right every time I have needed transmission work.From our commuters years ago to our special vehicle, they have always done quality work at reasonable prices and I would highly recommend them.You can trust that they will do the job right.Knowledge, integrity and professionalism, this is a shop you can trust.Thanks, Hayden, Scott and Karen.

JR s Transmission has been a very positive experience for me , they went above and beyond for me with two of my trucks and that s where I ll be doing business as long as I own vehicles! I have a mobile service company and it is essential that our vehicles be operable. When one of our transmissions failed JR s came recommend by Schultz Tire and Brake. Both of these companies are family owned and operated, have high standards and turn out quality work. Even though JR s was busy Haden recognizesd our need to be back on the road soon and what normally would take a week he was going to attempt in 3 days. In the end they under promised and over delivered and had it back to us in just 2 days. I couldn t be happier with the experience I had. My transmission was leaking from every orifice possible. They were able to quickly tell me what the problem was with the simple diagnosis tell me the cost of the repairs and how long it would take to fix all these things came to fruition and I m a happy leak free motorist.

Nobody else in Auburn was willing/able to do a 4wd shifter cable upgrade on my Jeep. JR Transmission was able to complete the work for a decent price and did a great job. They were fast and friendly. Thank you!

These guys are awesome they rebuilt the transmission in my 08 ram ... It came with a warranty, While driving thru Auburn my truck quite shifting .I called AAA for a tow, I was under on the 24 months but over on the mileage warranty.After they pulled the transmission they found that the torque converter it come apart their supplier stood behind his product they reassembled my transmission with a new torque converter, new fluid and a few parts that we're damaged when the converter gave out. For less than a $300 bill ..I highly recommend Jr's transmission.Thank you Adam Schultz
