HIGHLY RECOMMEND for auto repair. My windshield washer didn t work. Grant looked at it and I made an appointment to bring it in with an estimate of $150 for one hour s laborI arrived and MJ found the problem, rerouted a hose so it wouldn t happen again, and the total cost was $45, the minimum fee per Aaron, the manager.Prompt professional service at a reasonable price. What could be better?

Went in for a smog, was treated very fair. It didn't pass, but upon bringing it back I was told the issue was very minor and then passed right away once tested again. Highly recommend

Called day of needing an alternator belt fixed. Dropped it off at 10 and was given options of which belt I wanted and the breakdown of cost AHEAD OF COMMITTING TO THE JOB. Was told possibly could get it back today but definitely by the next day. Was called at 430 and told it was ready. Super accommodating. And the guys working in there were so nice! Another mechanic shop wanted to charge $200 for a diagnostic test which was not necessary since it was obviously the belt just by looking at it. And couldn't even run the diagnostic for 4 days then additional time for repair. I'll be sticking with Tom's!

Tom's Auto is the best! Honest, fair price and hard working, top notch shop!All the folks who work there are always nice and really on it. They are straight shooters, just there to help and make sure your vehicle is running top notch. If it doesn't need something, they will tell you and not just do it to charge you an extra bill.Because they are so good and so well liked, they can get pretty busy so definitely plan ahead if possible. But if it's a last minute emergency type of situation, they always do their best to work you into the schedule.

We went to Tom's Auto Service for a SMOG certification. We were immediately greeted with a warm welcome by Tom, who asked us to go to the office to get the paperwork ready and he would be right with us. In the office, Aaron was quick and efficient with the paperwork. We returned outside and within minutes, Tom had our truck set up for the SMOG check. There is a nice waiting area outside. The test was completed asap, we went back to the office to pay for the service, and we were on our way.Excellent customer experience which exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend ! I will definitely return !

Friendly and efficient service got a smog service done without an appointment. I was greeted kindly and was done with a the complete passed smog in about 20 min. Appreciate the kind, honest and efficient service Chris explained to me what truly needed to be done to my car thank you.

I am from out of town and had an issue with my rental car far away from any locations. Tom's Auto fit in a quick inspection and found that my dust cover had lost its screws. They zip tied it up so I could continue my trip down PCH. Great service and very friendly, highly recommend for your auto needs!

Tom's Auto Service just helped my daughter who was having car problems. She was heading home to San Jose for Easter and they were able to take care of the problem right away even though they were super busy. They replaced the alternator, adjusted the price down from initial estimate, and even topped off the oil. My daughter is back on the road home and feels very fortunate to have found this wonderful business. I cannot thank them enough for helping her. Highly Recommend!Services: Electrical, Battery

Thought about a new truck looked at used trucks I had them repair my pickup transmission radiator hoses belts alternator power steering air conditioning starter water pump bearings brakes flushing all fluids alignment complete engine tune-up basically I have a new truck for a fraction of the cost

Tom s Auto Service has taken care of our family for years.We ve experienced nothing but thorough and professional service every time we drop off our vehicles to be serviced.They are the reason our vehicles have lasted for many years. They give great attention to detail and I never have to worried because they have integrity.It s hard to find an honest auto shop these days. Seriously the best service I have ever had. They were super busy and normally you would feel not cared but they went out of their way to make sure everyone was serviced. Super honest. They gave me a coupon for a smog even though I didn't bring in the coupon. I am overwhelmed and surprised that the mechanics could be so nice.

Exceptional auto care!!! Thank you Aaron!! Tom s installed new rear brakes and rotors while I waited. Tom s work was top quality! My brakes have never functioned better!Aaron and Tom were very welcoming and courteous! I should have asked for the name of the mechanic who worked on my car, so I could give him Kudos too, but I forgot.In addition, Aaron accepted a coupon that I had saved from Localflavor and the price could not be beat.I absolutely recommend Tom s Auto Service to the Highest Degree!!!

My van was in shop 3 times for an electrical problem . They put in quite a few hours each visit . Tracing and testing wires . They were so frustrated . Said I would have to take it to Honda .No charges.A week later I had to replace the battery and everything was working .I went back and told them , offered to pay , still no charge . Had rear brakes and rotors , 2 smogs and ignition coil replaced in a years time . Always happy with their and gave me a price break every time !They are honest , reasonable and efficient . I'd recommend them for all repairs and maintenance .

These guys are great. They have a set price for an alignment (unlike some other places). I showed up for my appointment a little early, and they got me right in. They were done within an hour and gave me all the details. Will definitely go here again for anything my car needs.

Confirmed with Tom that they could do an oil change on my large company box truck. He stated, if we have to we can do it in the parking lot on ramps. Scheduled an appointment, arrived and Aaron stated they could not perform the service. Which cost me time and money as I have employees and company assets tied up .I will not be using this shop again.Service: Oil change

A great car shop with very established and honest mechanics. Great place to take your car and not be haggled for unnecessary repairs. As they said today "it's best to not overcomplicate it." I will be bringing my car back here. Great mechanics! Great auto shop!Thanks a ton guys!

My daughter has been using Tom's auto service for awhile now. He even checks out used cars. My daughter had several choices of cars. For a small fee, he would check them out and give her their true condition; saving lots of money in the long run.I too have started taking my car there. Very pleased with their service. I'm sure they are great just couldn't fix my break problem and made me go back 2 times and the breaks kept squeaking while I was there they just ignored me I am a paying customers who needs attention and needs to know why my breaks squeak how I can fix it after they had already put new breaks. (Still kept squeaking) then they were claiming it wasnt my front breaks they were my back breaks but a little too late i was already upset. I thought it was their job to tell me if any of them worked or not. Also they kept smoking all of them which I kind of hate it was very inconsiderate since I had my daughter with me pretty much smelling all the cigarette smoke have they not heard of second hand smoking I tried shutting the door but it didn't help I couldn't go anywhere else I had to hang out. I will never go back it was a waste of 3-4hours in a period of 3 days a waste of $250 dollars and my problem isn't completely fix. The only thing I will give them is that they were nice that's it other than that they were not helpful I thought I would give them a chance since they are local business but they failed. Thanks for nothing.

Took over a month to do warranty work on work they only did a month before. This should not have happened and it cost me a lot of money. If you want your car to keep breaking, then bring it here.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I recently just had a unfortunate/great experience with my Chevy Colorado, after traveling nearly 400 miles on a rainy new years weekend to visit my wife's grandmother. My water pump blew out when I arrived at my destination, one mile from Tom's (Fortunately). Honestly, Tom's auto service treated me with the upmost respect and loyalty as if I had been coming to there shop for years. I was able to diagnose the problem before taking it in and being 400 miles away from home I had no tools with me so I went to the best location possible and they were able to get me in and finish my truck the next afternoon on new years eve without any mishaps or other issues at hand. I was able to drive my truck in one straight shot back up to Northern California today, without any doubt or indication that something else was wrong. My Blessings, appreciation, and gratitude go out to those guys down at Tom's auto service, without them open on new years eve I would have been in a sticky situation. Thanks Aaron! Saved me alot of time, money, and most of all energy dealing with an unfortunate but great experience overall. GOD BLESS #HappyNewYears #2020 #MadeItSafeBackHome #ThankYou!

We have needed repairs the last 2 summers on our truck while vacationing in Pismo. Both times we were able to get it repaired in a timely manner at Tom's. Always pleasant to deal with.

Traveling from AZ. to Oregon I found myself with a major break issue. Found Tom's Auto Service in Grover Beach and experienced a positive, knowledgeable team to get me back on the road again. Tom goes the extra mile and I highly recommend using his facilities if you are passing thru or live anywhere close by Grover Beach, Ca.
