We decided to donate a car to the Make a Wish charity. The Copart company handled the donation/details. They sent Buddys towing from Arcata for pick up. The driver was kind and very professional. He called to make sure we knew he was on the way. He got the paperwork in order and load up went very quickly. We are very pleased with Buddy s! Definitely recommend.

AAA called them to help me with a lockout. They not only failed to open the lock, but did extensive damage to the inside and outside of the door, and the dashboard.

Azrael was an absolute angel. He saw us panicking on the side of the road and stopped to reassure us, letting us know what was likely going on and assured that his company would be by soon to pick up our car. He then requested his company to assign him to the job. He saw us safely to the auto shop and made sure we were laughing by the time we got there. This man deserves a raise, he was so kind and calm.

I am extremely grateful for Azrael who helped me out when my car malfunctioned in the freeway. He saw my friend and I waiting and eased my anxiety by checking out what was going on under the hood. Super thankful for getting to the mechanic quickly and safely.

I can't say enough about Buddy's Towing (Buddy's Auto Center). I had locked both sets of keys in my rental car in a remote area outside of Willow Creek, far, far from home. My roadside insurance company COMPLETELY failed me. Buddy's, however, made an after- hours, heroic and exceptionally generous effort to find me and unlock the car. Professional and responsive; great service; great people. This is the company to call.

Buddy s towing service is the best ever because of the quality of people that they hire. A gentleman named Austin came and helped me today and I couldn t have asked for someone more kind and professional. He was very patient without making me feel like I was just being tolerated. If everyone gave as good customer service as Austin did, this world would be a much better place. Bringing his kind energy and his expertise to my distressed situation was an extremely positive experience for which I will be forever grateful. My car wouldn't start after a day at the beach which was an unwelcome surprise for everybody, particularly a tired and hungry 1 year old. Mason came out for a tow, did everything he could to try to get the car started (large guy under a low car did not look pleasant but he did it anyway) and also helped me out with a ride. If all the employees are like him, this is a great service.Service: Car towing

I had a terrible experience with Buddy's Towing, a company dispatched by AAA, on Wednesday night after a severe storm. Despite informing the dispatcher at 21:24 that the driver would need to call me to access the gated road, the driver never made an effort to contact me or assess the situation, and simply declared the road was inaccessible due to potholes, without even reaching the location. I received a call back from AAA at 21:39 to confirm that a truck was en route and would be at my location within 45 min. At 22:02 I received a text from AAA that said my driver was pulling up so I started walking towards the gate assuming they d be calling any minute. When I got to the gate there was no sign of a truck so I stood there for a while playing on my phone waiting for them to arrive. After nobody showed up for quite some time I decided to call AAA again to see what was going on. At 22:54 I got a call back from AAA stating that the driver can t service me on the road I m on because there are too many potholes. This led to several miscommunications and misunderstandings throughout the process which caused a great deal of inconvenience. The service provided by Buddy's Towing was unprofessional and unfitting of their name. I was disappointed that they did not connect with customers and treat them in the way that is typical of the Humboldt area. The company lacks the customer service approach of treating the customer in a respectful and professional manner. I would not recommend relying on this company.

My insurance used Buddy s for a lock out and they gave me a response time of 90 - 120 min. I called to see if that was accurate and if so could I leave and come back. The lady who answered seemed bothered by my question and was quite short with me. When they did finally show up it was 2.5 hours and I wasn t way far away, I was in old town eureka. The only saving factor was the truck driver; he called me to let me know that he was on his way and was super nice, professional and quick getting me in.Service: Car lockouts

I am deeply appreciative of Buddy's towing, they helped me with a long distance tow of a broke down truck, that is going to be my first vehicle. They were courteous, quick to respond and very helpful in providing information about a DMV one trip permit. They took over 3 hours to tow my undamaged car 10 minutes away it ended up costing 1000+ they even broke my cruise control. Definitely look elsewhere for a tow they charge anyone they don't know crazy amounts and take their sweeeeeet time. Called multiple times no call back or response for months

Awesome company!!! My tire had gone flat and AAA sent Buddy s out, it was supposed to be a 2 hour wait and instead was 45 mins! When the driver (Christopher) arrived he was super nice and professional and looking to find a solution. Not only did he put air in my tire (tire didn t take air) but attempted to change it (lug nuts were too tight)and finally along with towing it. Buddy's is professional, informative, and helpful beyond my greatest expectations! Helped me prepare to move my RV with tips that saved me time and . They communicated to keep me informed several times before and the day of the move.Can't rate them high enough. The driver was cheerful, helpful and fun to be around.

Great experience. We locked our keys in our vehicle on vacation. Roadside assistance sent a different company to assist us at first. The guy was unable to help us. After almost an hour of no success...he cancelled the job. He called and requested someone else be sent. Buddy towing was sent out. We were told 45 minutes. They arrived in 20. The guy who helped us had us in our vehicle and good to go in about ten minutes. The best part was that he didn't make me feel like I was inconveniencing him. He was professional and pleasant. Thank you for turning a stressful situation into a job well done.

You are in good hands with Buddy's towing. They helped my grandmother when she needed a tow, and were willing to talk with me since I was helping her. They were very accommodating, kind, professional, and easy to work with. They went above and beyond checking some things out and making this an easy. I highly recommend them. Buddy's was sent to get us when we called AAA for towing service. Ben came and got us, and took us to the nearest shop. He was really prompt and friendly, and fun to chat with on the way to the mechanics. Thanks for saving us from the side of 101 Ben!!

The scam of a company. A that van that I had sold back to the original owner that I bought it from cuz it wouldn't pass smog and now they're trying to get me to pay a thousands of dollars for storage fees and some other fees I don't know I didn't even have the van I got rid of the van and something about the the I don't know if they turn me into collections and I can and I can only get one person they keep giving me run around number that doesn't work that's a no longer in service

Steve was friendly, professional and helpful. He drove safely and competently and was even good chat on our long drive. Father and son team, these guys are professionals. Carefully towed our 41-foot diesel pusher Motorhome 68 miles to the closest Cummins Service Center. Quilty equipment and informed us on the process every step of the way and delivered our baby without a scratch, or mishap. Highly recommend. UNFORGIVABLE. Tonight I ran into a lady and her baby with their car stuck about 30 feet away from the asphalt road on Samoa. I called Buddy's for a tow (more like a pull) and asked to pay by CC.The dispatcher on the phone was SURE I was somebody else that somehow she had a run-in with, and she refused dispatch a truck to help out. I even identified myself and she didn't want to hear it.0 stars for being revengeful. 0 stars for treating me the way she did. And UNFORGIVABLE for leaving a lady and her baby out instead of helping.I have used Buddy's many times and I was 100% satisfied until tonight. But what happened tonight is UNFORGIVABLE, and it is my social responsibility to warn everybody here.Buddy's should fire whoever was on the phone tonight, and I will be filing a complaint with the insurance companies that I work with.In case you got this far in my story, we found a random guy with an off-road truck down the road and he gladly came to pull out the lady.But I cannot stress this enough. IMO, the behavior of Buddy's dispatcher tonight is UNFORGIVABLE.Service: Car towing

If I could give a lower rating I would. The drivers are nice but I was hung up on abruptly by dispatch when inquiring how busy they were. She said she had 70 other calls (verbatim) and then I get a dial tone. She did not mistakenly disconnect me as she was beyond snarky during the call. This is Arcata so 70 calls seems like an exaggeration and not a holiday week or anything unusual going on. She could of very easily asked me to hold and gotten back to me with an answer to my question. Sadly have I used Buddy s always in the past for myself and family members but after today I will not be using Buddy s again. I immediately called J & M Towing and they were very personable and were prompt. J & M will be my go to towing service in the future.

I highly recommend Buddy's Towing. A great experience from start to finish. We were in a bit of a pickle with our 40' 5th wheel, 200+ miles from home in an area with no cell service and they went above and beyond. Ivy in the office was wonderful in assuring they would be able to help us, Josh was fantastic in coordinating the tow, and the owner, Rick, who actually showed up to do the tow, was awesome and one of the nicest people I've ever met. If you are in the Eureka area and need a tow service, I definitely suggest you call Buddy's towing!Services: Special vehicle towing, Long distance hauling

Highway robbery. Thats all I can say. The worker totally lied outright and tried to say it took them a while before they found a truck that could tow my car. Not true. The very first truck that showed up towed it. And again he tried to say that my car had to be lifted up and lifted off the flat bed. Not true. I watched him drive it onto the flatbed. Then he charged us over 500$ even tho it was only towed about 6 miles and he had it less than 24hrs. These guys are professional con artists. Steer clear if possible.
