the old woman that operates this business is like a cop, very unpleasant & a stalker. she is sort of rude & headstrong. she do not respect her customers & deserve to be BOYCOTTED. my friend & i rented from this place for just a short period of time when i had just moved in to town. i was a student so i knew that the room i would be renting during my time in arcata wouldn't be big enough for my things. At first she seems friendly. Upon signing the agreement they have rules that people are not allowed to live out of their units-- totally understandable; but the problem is that she will stalk you to make sure you are not, in other words she does not RESPECT privacy. i was there one day spending hours sorting through my unit ( i have lots of stuff) & i brought my lunch to eat. the wind is strong in North Humboldt and this place gets strong drafts blowing through the isles, blowing in debris & sand & crap. so i would close the garage door most of the way. she patrols the isles when she sees through the security camera that people are there. So she walks up to my unit because she notices the door almost closed, yanks open the door - doesn't even bother to knock first-- and begins yelling at me that i am living in there because i had a couch & a pillow on it stored in my unit & sees my half eaten lunch. i tried telling her this was not true but she wouldn't believe me & told me she wants me to move out. i was so angry & annoyed... they didn't refund me for the last week i had vacated so i say BOYCOTT this business they would make better employees in security guard jobs.. plenty of other businesses in the area to store your things. rude ass folks

Storage units are reasonably priced. I miss the manager's dog who past away from cancer. I really bonded with him & I was sad to hear he died. I can hear George Carlin chastising for saying "past away."

Great friendly service and responsible pricing. He came in just for us to rent a unit. He explained all the rules and processes clearly, best in Arcata!

Small units spaced close together not easy to drive a big uhaul through. Nice place though
