Johnny and his guys took great care of my van. Took a week to get done but that was due to my IRL issues. Most definitely recommend and will be taking my van here anytime work needs done! 10/10 Best experience

These people charged my mother $2,395 to install a ECM that's the brain for the car. 9 out of 10 you don't need to replace the ecm. They said the ecm would cost $1,583 so I called the Toyota dealer and the ecm was $1,100 so I called the mechanic and told it was only 1,100 not 1,583 he told me he had to make a profit. Wow! A $483 profit on a part is extreme to me. Also it takes maybe 20min to install the ecm 2bolts & a bracket the mechanic charged $345. It says he makes $230 an hour. So it took him 1 1/2 hours to install a ecm that should 10 to 15min to install. Oh and when u walk in to the office they act like they are there for you. But in reality they are there to take what ever they can get away with. Horrible people they must pay people who give good reviews.

CarMax recommended me to Big Apple Automotive on Bear Valley Rd in Apple Valley for a warranty repair issue on my 2020 Subaru Outback! I was having working issues in wet weather with my front driver/passenger windows going up slow or not all. Miguel M & Mgr Dan Day were so knowledgeable & helpful with the diagnosis of my problem. There was a TSB service bulletin that addressed the known issues I was having. They promptly got the necessary prior authorization required from CarMax and ordered the necessary parts to fix the issue. Zero out-of-pocket cost to me. They restored my faith in the repair industry in general by being so caring and friendly but most of all how professional & knowledgeable they were! Thank you for a very pleasant experience. I am definitely a satisfied, customer. I will definitely recommend your shop to my friends!

Big Apple Automotive is top notch! They have always been very professional and helpful in all aspects of automotive repair. They have taken great care of my families vehicles and warranty their work. Before Big Apple Automotive I was at the mercy of slap together mechanics, thats work had to be fixed again at Big Apple Automotive. I haven t had a problem since. I also appreciate their vehicle inspection they perform it keeps me aware of other maintenance issues I need to address with my vehicles. As long as I live in the high desert I will always go to them if I need mechanic help. Thanks Foulks Family

I went to this mechanic under dire circumstances. I was convinced my truck was a loss or would be very expensive to fix. My experience began before the business had even opened, I was greeted by a polite and courteous employee and was informed I would be taken care of the second he finished opening. Maybe 10 minutes later I was greeted by Jim, a smile and a handshake began our interaction. I informed him of my situation and he opened the shop right up to get me inside, he gave me a fresh cup of coffee and offered me a donut while he and the first employee got the shop in order. Within maybe an hour, my vehicle was in a bay, diagnosed, and I was brought great news much to my relief. I'd even gotten a discount on my diagnostic as it was completed in half the regular time. While some other mechanics might have seized an opportunity to profit off of my misfortune, these gentleman were honest, professional and went above and beyond to make my visit quite honestly the best I'd ever experienced. In the few short days since, I have recommended this business to every friend and coworker I have encountered. The professionalism and quality of service this establishment offers serves as the golden standard in my humble opinion. A big thank you to Jim and his staff.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

If you know anything about cars this isn't the place for you, if your a sucker who knows nothing then you'll probably love it because of their "sweet waiting room". They don't have a quick turnaround and they charge $220 just to do a diagnostic. This place is the textbook definition of a highway robbery mechanic, the unfortunate part is they don't even do things fast or quality. If you want your car done the right way in a timely manner, while also being affordable, I wouldn't use any of their locations since they all operate off the principle of over charging customers for basic tasks.

My wife took my truck there for smog. They said it needed $3500 to get it to pass. No thanks!!! To follow up on this. I took the truck to another smog check station. The tech there said just get the air cleaner manufacturer to send you a CARB compliant sticker and you'll be good. The sticker cost $4.54 compared to the $3,500 that these clowns wanted to replace the entire air cleaner system. Truck is now smogged, registered and on the road.

Went for smog test, they were very professional and accommodating. They are next to Chevo's Mexican food, behind bank. Got to have lunch while I was waiting. I will be going back to Big Apple in the future.

I went to big Apple for some exhaust issues I was having. After diagnosing my vehicle the service guy recommended I replace my battery as well as it was old and not holding a good charge. I agreed and they did the repairs and replaced the battery. 4 months later the battery was dead, went back to the shop and after checking the alternator they replaced the battery under warranty at no extra charge. That s good business and I left totally satisfied.Services: Exhaust, Auto battery replacement, General repairs & maintenance, General repairs, Battery

I had to have a brake and light inspection. I took my truck to this establishment and was told it would be the standard fee for them to do it. Under 50 bucks. Got a call an hour or so later stating that I needed a brake system flush because the brake fluid was too dark/purple the guy said. (It was purple due to being fully synthetic DOT 5 fluid) my husband is a fully certified mechanic and is the one who chose to go the synthetic route. My husband called and tried to explain to them what DOT 5 fluid looks like and they said they won't accept it. He also said well fine, we will bring the vehicle home and do the flush ourselves and they said 'nope, if we do it ourselves they will recharge us the initial fee'. Well we needed this certification so we agreed to let them do it. $834.00 dollars later they signed the certificate. Untrained mechanics if they cannot tell what synthetic looks like. Buyer beware, we own our own shop and do not hold the certification to sign off on safety as this is not our area of title. See below the Google definition that maybe Big Apple can share with its employees.Fresh DOT 5 brake fluid is a purple color. This allows you to easily distinguish between glycol- based and silicone-based brake fluid.Service: Vehicle safety inspection

Big Apple has worked on every one of my vehicles and I have found that they always do the best job they can. They have never missed the mark on the repairs. They have always treated me like a valued customer and friend. I have recommended them to both family and friends with the full confidence that they will be satisfied with the work and staff. I cannot say enough good things about the few visits I've had here. I brought a prius in and at the end of the day, the fix was just more than I was able to pay at the time. When I called to let them know I'd be hiring a tow to come get it, they offered to bring it to my house. FOR FREE. During the time they were diagnosing the car, they were super communicative and extremely friendly. Fast forward about a week and an O2 sensor goes out on my truck. Long story short, I had the part, the tools and everything to do it but could not get the sensor out. I was not happy about calling because I knew I'd be paying someone to do something I should be able to do. They told me to drop it the next day by 2 and they'd finish it by closing (5pm). I dropped it and they had it done by 330. When I got dropped off to pick it up, Jeremy walked me out, explained how difficult it was and then tossed me my keys. "You don't owe me anything." I think he could tell that I was at wits end and was more inclined to earn a customer for life than a few quick bucks. Well he got it. These guys are amazing!

We used Big apple to have our Toy Hauler Breaks and Lights inspected. We made an appointment and that worked out great. These guys were great , they were detailed on what they were going to do and how much it would cost and how long it would take. The job was going to take a few hours so we had to hang out there for awhile. They made us feel very welcome and even offered us lunch (who does that these days)right!! They also have the cleanest shop I have ever been in and a restroom that was nicer than ours LOL. The best part was FREE DONUTS !!! I will be backRubenServices: Brakes, Brake service & repair

I made an appointment to have the oil changed in my 2004 Armada, they got me in within a few days. When I arrived, they had many local sheriff's vehicles being serviced there-so I assumed they would be trustworthy. They greeted me when I walked in and we're quick and attentive to get my info. It didn't take longer than about 40 minutes to change the oil. They also topped off fluids and aired up my tires. I knew they would come back with a list of things they could fix... And yes they did. They were not pushy about it and explained everything clearly. The print out they gave me was very helpful in identifying things that were physically checked and things that were listed just due to the mileage of my vehicle. I had broken motor mount that I wasn't aware of, and I'm grateful they found it and told me about it.I felt comfortable in their office and with their service, even though I was brand new. They treated me and my vehicle well.

The team here is professional and courteous, they always take time to explain things. The Big Apple chain is a little more expensive than some other repair shops, but they make up for it in customer care and experience. They value new and returning customers and I've never felt put out or ripped off by their staff. From helping book a rental car, giving you a ride, to free donuts, candy, and drinks in the clean lobby, they always go out of their way to make sure you get what you need!

So far, I love this place, seem to be honest and upfront with everything. They work with you in helping you in my experience. Treating my fiance and me with respect and dignity. Not affraid to double check accuracy of what they say with mechanics to ensure all correct information was rely to you. Human touch to services is here. I just moved up to the area, and will be taking my vehicle to them when i need service and repairs. I dont play with cars, my kids and my fiances kids as well as disabled travel in my vehicles, never take chances.

It's a really bad feeling when you catch "professionals" lying to you. Took my car in for a coolant leak, was told it would cost $1200 to fix the issue which was, I quote, "hoses totally exploded, severely cracked and damaged" . The BS alarm immediately started chiming, because while I'm not a professional mechanic I do know enough to know when something doesn't sound right.As soon as I made it clear that I was going to come pick up my car and fix it myself (after a Google search showed me I could fix this CATASTROPHIC issue with a 50 dollar part and a 4 minute YouTube video), they immediately start trying to haggle with me and lower the price to get me to pay them their outrageous fee. Nice try, but I'm good. Turns out, these "totally exploded" and "severely damaged" hoses were in absolutely perfect condition, the issue was a single deteriorated O-ring. 5 minutes of my time and a one dollar part from AutoZone, the issue was totally fixed.I can forgive a mistake or a misdiagnosis, but this was 100% bold-faced LYING in an attempt to justify charging me $1200 for something a "professional" mechanic should be able to fix in minutes. I can't help but think of all the people who must have fallen for scams like this who don't know enough to call it out, people who put their trust in these people to not rob them of their hard earned money. Absolutely ridiculous.

The customer service is off the charts friendly. They have been very honest with me which for me is less stressful.I had a smog done my 1st visit, and an inspections my 2nd visit. Both visits were good, and If you have AAA you get a discount. They are also very prompt and give good time estimates for how long things will take and when they'll be ready.

I brought my car in for an oil change. The ladies at the front Dess were very professional. My car was serviced immediately upon my arrival and the quality of the service was excellent. Hot coffee and fresh donuts was a nice surprise. I don t believe I have ever been in a cleaner automotive store before this experience. My new favorite!

My husband and I took our vehicles here for our smog checks. The entire staff is friendly, welcoming and overall wonderful. Quincy welcomed us at the door to get our information, offered us water and made us feel comfortable right away. Highly recommend this place and will be a returning customer!

Appointment for oil change and courtesy check. On time, quick service. Report on cell phone immediately. Dirty air cleaner. Trust Big Apple Automotive to take care of any vehicle. This was not my first visit. Always satisfied! Thank you Big Apple, friendly and caring!

Our family has had 3 cars services here over the last several years. The employees are all knowledgeable, professional & friendly. They have stand behind their work. For example, I had a problem with one of the tires I purchased & it was replaced with no problem. There may have been more services performed on the 3 vehicles than are listed above. The best thing to me is that they listen to problems & provide solutions.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, General repairs, Wheel alignment, Smog certification, Emissions testing, Oil change

First time ever going there and they were great!! I had an appt for an oil change, called them to inform them I had woken up late and they understood and were considerate to me for it. When I got there they were so very busy I felt bad for not being on time but their customer service was A++++, that's my new mechanic shop to go when I need a good mechanic.
