Took my vehicle in to have them replace my front wheel bearings and hubs, based on the noise I was hearing when driving it. They took the time to verify the issue and determined the noise was actually coming from the rear differential. They called to let me know, priced out the repair and I approved the new work order. A few business days later, I picked up the truck and, Viola!, no more obnoxious howling. These people are easy to deal with and are good at what they do, in my experience. This isn't my first time using Metric Motors. I am happy with the work they have done for me.

My Euro-only 1995 Audi UrS6 crapped out on the way from SF to Seattle. Thankfully it happened in Redding and after doing a little digging and making a few phone calls I took it to Jeff and the team at Metric Motors. They were able to diagnose and take care of the issue with no stress and no fuss. I had no idea why oil leaked out of the front left side of my car. Again they could have said anything and I would not have known the difference. It was an oil coolant (who knew) and only $300 + change. They always tell me the truth and they always fix it right the first time. I am so thankful they are here in Anderson

My 2002 CRV has almost a quarter of a million miles, was burning a ton of oil and had reduced power and increased MPG. They did an excellent job on the rebuild. It's like having a brand new car!Thank you very much!Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

I bought a truck knowing it had a ton of issues. Other local mechanics refused to even touch it but Jeff and the team at Metric Motors were more than willing to help out! I went in on a Friday to get an estimate on a couple separate items. The staff was very polite and listened to my concerns.I set up an appointment for the following Monday.On Monday they addressed both items quickly. I was pleasantly surprised the bill was lower than the estimate.I highly recommend this shop!

Took my wife's 78 Type 2 Bus in after failed smog. I also had some other minor stuff done while it was there. They were fast and friendly and got everything done for a reasonable price. Staff even helped out explaing some other things about the vehicle to me that I had questions about. Would definitely recommend.

This place is AMAZING!!! I have a bmw 2002 525i m sport wagon. The motor needed replaced andthey charges only around 500 dollars for that and replacing a rotted tube. Idk about cars but they sure do and the diagnostic AND the repair and all alone was 500 bucks. As always, Lisa, Jeff, Eddie and the rest of the gang at Metric Motors provided me with fast service, without a bloated price tag to go with it. Just good old fashioned honest service!This is coming from a guy who NEVER lets anyone work on his car...until I found Metric Motors.

I had an issue with my car that required eliminating one of 2 possibilities. I called Jeff 3 to 4 times before the appointment.He was professional in dealing with my concerns. Final price was under what was quoted, and time taken was spot on.

I have been Getting the diesel truck smog here for the past few years. Was getting it done at a place a little farther up 273 but they seem to always be closed. This place is always open and ready. Employees were very nice . See you next smog thanks again...

A great hometown business that goes above and beyond. They do exactly what they say they're going to do nothing more nothing less and if anything else needs to be done they discuss it with you first. I've had my vehicle done by them twice and it was extremely pleased

I've taken my Volkswagen to several places in Redding over the years, but haven't been super satisfied. After having some things done at Metric Motors recently, I've decided to make them my go-to mechanic and auto shop, even though I have to drive to Anderson.

I have a 36 year old VW Westy and once I found these folks about 20 years ago when I moved here and needed my engine rebuilt, they have been my go-to caretakers of my beloved Puff ever since. Couldn't live without them!

I like this shop..My Family and I moved to Anderson a year ago...we've had to take our car there twice.both times we received really good service and pricing...it's nice to have a shop near by I know I can trust.Chad

I live in Baltimore...3000 miles away....never met the people at METRIC but was referred there after calling another VW Bus shop....and Metric helped me arrange towing of the bus I bought in Redding...without ever seeing the bus...Lisa took my first call and promised me Eddie would take care of the bus...then I heard several times from Jeff who gave me updates on the work in progress...including asking me what I wanted done and what I wanted to not do...Work was completed timely and I fly to California later this month to see my VW Bus for the first time...and I am confident I can drive that bus knowing it was fixed properly!

NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN!! I went to Metric Motors with my infant to get my lights inspected and my blinker replaced after my accident. When I got home my dash lights stopped working when I went over a bump (they probably loosened the wire). Then later I go to use my windshild wipers and they are cutting in and out. I am very upset that this company would dare mess with a car that clearly has a baby on board sign in the back window. I drive my infant around in the car they messed with! I AM VERY UNSATISFIED! Now I have to go somewhere else to fix the problem that they created.
