Brought in my 2017 Camaro 4cyl cause of a check engine light and I know next to nothing when it comes to technicals of a car like the engine. Not only could I get it looked at the same day (it was a Friday) he was also able to fix the problem and replace a part that was faulty. He gave me a lot of good tips on maintenance and performance, and also walked me through what he did and what he noticed. REALLY really nice guy.

I highly recommend Chris and Bell Automotive! Both of our vehicles broke down recently and he was able to get us back on the road in a timely manner without breaking the bank. Great dude and awesome mechanic!! I won't take my vehicles anywhere else!

My husband, myself and two kids are so glad we called Bell Auto! Our Escalade broke down while traveling up I-5. Over the phone they helped us get the truck to the shop then, luckily, they were able to fix right then! They had us back on the highway in an hour. Forever grateful

Called Chris at Bell on Thursday, he had my car in Friday! Not only did he fix the problem I called him about but he was also able to fix my brakes all for cheaper than I was quoted for one job at other shops. I will definitely be returning and referring other people to Bell Automotive! If you're looking for a shop to take your car to call Bell Automotive, they are amazing!

Called them told them what was going on and how I think I was ripped off by another business. He said he would be happy to take a look . Brought it in he had our issue fixed and vehicle back to us in 2 hours . He is very knowledgeable. Jim and Chris were amazing to do business with.I recently bought an 04 chevy avalanche, and it needed a fuel pump- badly. Both Jim and Chris got me in and out quick, and were very respectful and honest.I had an issue with one of the clips coming off of the fuel pump hoses a day after, and my fuel pump started to leak. Jim was very helpful, and repaired it- free of charge. When I was having car issues these guys came through and really helped me out. Not only were they able to help me figure out the issue, they were able to get me all set up and back on the road. I have brought my car in 3 times now for Chris to work on for different needs, and each time he has done a wonderful job each time. Chris and his Father along with their colleagues have taken on each challenge that is presented in front of them and succeeded with integrity. They are honest and fair in the cost of their services and explain with clarity to you what repairs are needed. I highly recommend this business and thank them again for coming to my needs.

I have dealt with Jim and Chris at Bell Automotive for many, many years. They have always been honest, fair, and terrific guys to work with. They do great work. Even though we have moved out of state, they remain my first call when I have questions about my vehicles. They have even been able to help diagnose and problem solve with me over the phone. They have been and will always be my first choice for auto repair in the Redding area. They are the best.

This mechanic is... Beyond words, incredible and amazing. I don't know where my family and I would be without Bell Automotive, a Saint and Savior to us when we needed them most. Jim has provided immediate service with low and affordable prices and flawless work. I never have to come back for any mistakes made; he gets the job done and he gets the job done right the first time. Bell Automotive is the only shop I will ever take any of my cars to.

This Mechanic was revered by a friend! I was right in trusting Er! This guy is Honest and fair. His father owned this shop before it was handed down to him. He has old world values and work ethics! M going back son with some tire issues. I m totally safe in putting my trust in him. He s friendly and very knowledgeable. And he doesn t try to gouge you! I took my Ford F-150 there after just getting it from a side lot who claimed it had a full tune up. Chris and Jim took it in and showed me no tune up was done. They changed every fluid from front to back. Flushed the entire system and serviced the transmission. After I came home there was a small transmission leak wich I assumed was from the service I brought it back to them they looked it over and replaced the gasket. Next day a leak so I again returned to them we looked all over for the leak and come to find out, it was out of the bulk head they fixed it with no charge. Even though it was not there problem. I have to say I am extremely happy with there service. I will definitely be recommending them to all my friends, and will be giving them all my work from now on. Thanks again Jim and chris bell.

Car broke down next to shop only option I had. I expecting the worst. What I got was a mechanic for forever. Honest, integrity integrity integrity. He was straight up broke a timing belt on a interference motor. Chances of total engine replacement 99.9. We got lucky no damage Jim fixed the car and extra for a honest price. Honk when you by to one of the last genuinely honest guys who know how to do the job correctly.

Jim is an amazing man!! I took my suv to him months ago and he fixed my suv in a day, he knew what was wrong and explained it to me. Yesterday my Nieces car broke down On the freeway, I called him told him my name and about my nieces car and he remembered me and he remembered working on my car and he remembered exactly what was wrong with my SUV asked me how it was running. I was able to bring my nieces car right into him and he had it repaired the next day for her to get back on the road and go back to work. I highly recommend this place!! He is the only one I will have work on my vehicles.

Thank you so much Chris, you were able to track down a short in the wiring system of our Buick Park Avenue that had caused the car to lose all power while driving. Other mechanics we talked to, said it was a crack sensor or ignition module or computer....All are expensive fixes, I'm sure we would've been charged for all of these parts at another shop. You looked for first, and found it wasn't a part, but a short in the ground wire. Fix done for a fraction of the cost. You have all our automotive service business!

Jim, the owner is the best. He has been in business for 30+ years, and I can see why. He didn't just tell me what was wrong with my car, he showed me.Bell Automotive is the last of good honest mechanics.

Chris is the best, most honest mechanic I've ever had work on my car. I'd recommend him to anyone, I will even travel from Chico just to have him do my work. 5 stars all the way!

Jim is one of the best mechanics I have ever delt with. I know some mechanics they try and get over on you and jack up prices and tell you things that need to be fixed that do not. Jim is not that kinda guy. We have been going to him for about a year now . And we have never had a bad experience with him . I can call freaked out and Jim's is always like no worries we will get her fixed. And within a day or two we have our car or truck back. This man is always willing to help out his customer . It's also nice that he not only talks to my husband but me as well. You dont see that alot in this field of work but jim made sure I understood what was going on too . Being in customer service myself it is great to see someone who cares about his customers not just his buisness. Thank you Jim for all that you do !!!! Best mechanic in shasta county in my opinion. In the next car crisis i have your number on speed dial !

Honest people. Will explain any issues your vehicle is having so you really understand the problem and solution. In my case, they made sure I was happy and were good to work with. I will return with my vehicles in the future, and recommend anyone go to them if they have car trouble or need regular maintenance.

This shop had very good integrity, they carefully explained what they were going to do and the price was set and didn't change. I'm very happy with the work they did, it was fast and very high quality. I will definitely be going back next time I need vehicle work, and would recommend them to anyone.

By far the best mechanic shop in northern California!. Chris is the most trustworthy auto mechanic i have ever came across. We were about to junk our truck and say forget it but chris found the problem right away and he was fast, efficient and didnt charge us an arm and a leg. I would definitely reccomend taking your vehicle to bell automotive. I can now rest better knowing i have found the right place to take my cars to. Thank you chris for being the best in the buisness. Truly amazing!

I have been using Bell Auto for 10 years. These guys are great to work with. Good at trouble shooting car problems that I would have never figured out. Always fair on price and my vehicle comes back fixed.
