I can't get them to answer a phone during stated business hours. The clutch kit I bought is advertised as fitting my truck, but the bolt holes on the flywheel are more than half an inch further apart than what my truck requires. For an $800 clutch kit, I expected brains behind it. Save your money and buy elsewhere.

This is what I wrote to McLeod:::::: I d hope this would find someone of concern. History, I m a 59 year old car enthusiast, and have been buying McLeod parts since 1980. I recently bought a part MCL 75105 and it had a failed throw out bearing. I called and spoke to somebody regarding covering labor from my mechanic from the failed part and you guys do not cover that. I do understand that, but I also wanted to let you know that this will end a relationship of 43 years and I will never buy any of your product ever again. I will also let people know in the car community of the incident that I had experienced with your product. Thanks for for the past parts that I have that didn t fail. FYI product only had 500 miles to use on it and it was making a lot of noise. Come to find out that the McCloud products are made in China.

HORRIBLE SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION!I bought a hydraulic clutch conversion kit from them and it was advertised as fitting my car. It did not.I finally called in and the guy told me that the engineer who designed it was right there with him, so I asked to speak with him. He said okay and then put me on hold for 15 minutes. He finally came back and said that "no, the engineer wouldnt talk to me, but that it wouldnt fit unless I purchased a $500 mount from another car and did fab work". So I did what they said, and there's no way it could ever work. Now it can't be returned. The part was inferior, molded plastic, junk, which cost $400, plus an additional $500, and 15 hours of fab time.I called to speak to the owner, because their website is riddled with boasts of their unparalleled service. The receptionist said that although he was heavily involved with the company, I couldnt speak with him.I own two, well known, busy hot rod forums and several of my members have reported the same. Obviously, the Google users here confirm.Im a semi-retired consumer affairs inspector for the government, and I have 35 years of experience in resolving consumer issues. If I can't get a business to respond, then they're simply a lost cause.Mc Leod sucks and they care nothing for anyone but themselves.

I have a 2015 Mustang Roushcharged GTPP, makes around 670whp... I purchased the RST with lightened steel flywheel.. new TB, steel line, and dss driveshaft.. i also run sticky NT01s 305 square, this was completely my fault rushing, didn't vacuum the air out of the car.. ruined the new clutch.. sent it back for a rebuild, they took a little long but it's expected due to Covid,.. so I bought a new RST and flywheel installed and bleed correctly and broken in CORRECTLY,.. was sitting in the garage and a package came it was my rebuild it was flawless and only a couple days late they hadn't charged me a dime.. this is amazing service, and really quality work.. I appreciate the help and the properly installed and broken in new part has worked flawlessly no issues no slipping every gear!!! Thank You!!!

I called McLeod Racing on 03/13/20 to get some help with getting the release bearing spaced correctly on my RXT1200 clutch. The website gives conflicting data so I gave their tech support line a call. Bryan Gwin picked up and was not polite at all. Lots of "yeahs" and his tone reflected an attitude of someone who does not care about my need to understand his product. Unfortunately this was just the straw that broke the camels back after constant communication in this same way. I had the clutch sent back to them for repair for a warped base plate, after not hearing back I called and got another employee who demanded to know the RMA. Only problem is that I never was given one. He said "hang on let me see if I can find it back there", "I found it, it has been sitting out here by the dock for days, no one knew what to do with it". Letting a box sit at a dock without anyone having the initiative to read the shipping label to see what was going on is an honest reflection of the care you could expect from McLeod service. Find out for yourself before buying from them. Call the tech department and ask some questions that you need or know the answers to, how are you treated? I'm sure their product will hold up just fine to my driving. Call me old fashioned but good quality service and respect is just as important as product quality. Based off of what I have experienced over several interactions McLeod Racing's service does not match what I expect after buying a $1200+ clutch. This review has been fully earned by the staff and I hope the service culture changes at their shop.

Unfortunately my experience with McLeod products and customer service have been excessively sub par. I purchased a Street Extreme for my Mustang, had a professional speed shop install, broke in properly, and I have issues with clutch slip in high RPMs as well as clutch pedal sticking to the floor between hard shifts. No big deal, stuff happens. Then I contact McLeod, and was told "it sounds like you have a lazy throwout bearing." Pulled transmission, changed it out, continued to have the same issues. Then the next time I call it is, "well since you're a couple months past your 90 day warranty, we may or may not help you out. If you want to send it back, we will inspect it." I am going to have to pay to ship their junk clutch kit as well as my factory flywheel (per their request) for inspection. All potentially for them to decide later if they want to mess with it or not. Ironically, I made the best choice to date and purchased an Exedy clutch kit. Magically, my problems are gone. I don't believe I'm going to waste my time or money to send back a clutch that I have ZERO intentions of reinstalling, and would not want to resell just to make someone else's car have the same issues. This product is as good as a boat anchor. My future purchases will be with Exedy for all of my clutch needs.

Sent my clutch in for a rebuild. They had it for weeks, lied to me about when it would be done. Everything looked good when it came back but I sent it out attached to the flywheel with a set of ARP bolts which were not returned. It came back just on the dowel pins with no bolts. I let them know about it and she said they would be sent out. Almost a week later I ended up purchasing a set of bolts and having them delivered so I could get it put back together. I have yet to see my bolts back.... The least they could have done to keep a customer was to overnight my bolts back to me. This will not be my last clutch purchase, but it will most likely be my last McLeod product.

Bought a stage 3 clutch kit and throw out bearing for 05 gt. The throwout bearing squalls worse than the one originally in it. The clutch is already burned up. Customer service wont even respond to call/emails. Would give 0 stars if i could. I will NEVER have anything to do with this trash of a company again. Dont waste your time.

Absolutely horrible I have called 3 days in a row to get a price even emailed them.when you do get a hold of someone there first language isn't English like the sub out incoming calls to people at home.its bad when you can't get a hold of a business this large I guess I will go to black magic clutches for my needs from now on.the owner of mcleod should be ashamed of the service his business provides.if you like being on hold and no one ever picking up the phone mcleod is for you.

The customer service is horrible. The repairs are as much as a new clutch. If you have to send in your clutch for repairs just buy a new clutch and sell the old assembly. The turnaround time is insanely too long. All together, buy a RAM clutch, buy a stock clutch or any other brand clutch, stay away from this clutch brand.

So many great solutions.I've been a customer for many years and they have always had a fix for any crazy problem.Racing yes but I've used them more for Resoration over the years. Transmissions/clutches that fit in tight spots...

Horrible company. Had my flywheel for 4 weeks. Messed up my flywheel when they resurfaced it. Then took another 4 weeks to give it back to me, only to tell me to take it somewhere else to have their mistake fixed.

I have used this company for 2 clutches already and need to do it again for the 3rd. Had an issue with 1 clutch before and was repaired under warranty. Only problem I have is always increasing my power and replacing clutches. Now I need one for 1500hp

this place is trash ! do not buy from them. I order a clutch for my 2003 cobra and 2x I got the wrong part . I call American muscle to let them know about the problem and they actually suggest that I should get another brand instead of taking care the issue
