Just came to pick up our car rental, and despite the bad Google reviews still took my chances. Glad I did!Paperwork took no longer than 10 minutes, the associate (who was wonderful when I spoke on the phone a few days ago!) didn't try to upsell us on insurance or anything. Office was clean and had a faint smell of incense, which made me nostalgic about my childhood going to Chinese school at a temple . The car we were assigned is a Mitsubishi Outlander, which looked to be in new condition and was spotlessly clean. Great start to our trip!

I was kinda curious why this location has a 2 1/2 star rating - but I think I have figured it out. It's gotta be for the quality of the cars rented, because the guy that helped us was very pleasant, there's not much to the office, but car rental offices aren't really known to be fancy anyways.We made a reservation for a Toyota Rav 4 and the car was ready when we arrived - however, it is the funkiest car - the seats are funky stained, the condition of the exterior was pretty funky too - splattered bug remnants on the front, scrapes and scratches all around, a dent in back, and the car runs kinda rough. Hence, that's how a car rental place gets a two star rating.I just have to point out that any time you rent a car, you're also going to be getting any funk that previous renters have left in the car. So I'm not that surprised when cars that we rent are funky - I almost expect it anymore.The best thing is to bring towels to sit on and a pleasant air freshener. The car we rented is a 2022 and has 18K miles so I'm pretty sure we'll reach our destination - it just won't be the smoothest or quietest ride.*UPDATE* I was SO bothered by the funky smell of this car (there's only so long that one can tolerate someone else's funky smell) and the seat stains were just too much to ignore, so I used a little car upholstery cleaner and elbow grease and cleaned the seats - which also freshened the smell of the interior of the car. *I added an 'After' pic of the seat - looks and smells so much better!!

This location should close down. Absolutely helpless when it comes to helping their customers. They don t bother letting their customers know ahead of time that their car wouldn t be available and once you get there expecting to get a car, they watch you struggle with customer service over the phone.

My wife and I hired a car from this location back in January 2023, when we were on holiday in Southern California for a few weeks. We were very pleased in general with the level of service that we got as we'd picked up a great mobile-only deal via a website and app that friends had told us about. The car was full-size, with the built-in stereo having a screen and giving us access to Android Auto - which allows the use of Google Maps or Waze, in terms of satnav software via your phone. Apple Carplay was also available but as we don't use iPhone we weren't able to test this. Overall we were more than happy with the car and would happily rent again from this location if they are still here the next time we visit the LA area. Many thanks and big ups to the team running the office. We were able to extend our rental lease without too many difficulties over the phone. Returning the car was no problem either. As the location is outside of Disney and also airports, the rates reflect the lower pricing available. Cheers !

Reserved online for quoted amount. Does not accept multiple payments for rental and additional deposit. Did not expect all had to be on 1 card since no other company we have dealt with requires that. Customer service rep gave conflicting info and then back paddled to verify incorrect info given by store clerk. Rental location, customer service number, and supervisor said nothing can be done. Gave a 2 star cause we still left with a car thanks to our credit provider going above and beyond.

If I could give 0 stars I would.. I have been renting a vehicle from this location since Sept and I have always paid and did my extensions the same way every time and today I was out eating with my children and when we walked out the car was gone. When I called customer service they told me they took it cause I never extended it for over a month and when I told them I have and the process I took to do it the guy working there said he had no idea that s how you can do it and when I asked why I was not called or notified he said he didn t know. All my belongings were in the vehicle including my kids school stuff and most importantly my wallet and they keep giving me the run around on how to get my belongings. We had to walk home in the rain being how I didn t have my cards to get an Uber or anything. I will be contacting the local police tomorrow morning to see how to get my belongings as they will not give them to me or give me answers. I wish I would have read reviews as I am not the only one saying they are scammers and thieves. Horrible service and I will never use an Avis again

I ve maybe done 3 reviews in my LIFE. I don t do reviews based off of emotions or lack of good service because people have bad days which is understandable. But bad business is an entirely different case. For brevity this is not the location to go to if you're considering scheduling a reservation pick a different office or maybe a different business entirely. Please read other reviews beyond my own that state similar issues. As I should have. But didn t sadly. I m not sure if it s this location or Avis in general but the actual offices operate on their own policies not the policies listed on the company website and they have no problem clearly stating that to you. Dao I guess is the manager and he s genuinely the service issue of the office without attempting to acknowledge the situation of me being charged twice he s immediately rude and nonchalant. His verbiage completely unprofessional and his disregard for the company policy of the business he works for is what caused me to write a review. I ve reached out to customer service and they are no help as they have no explanation for the practices of this office. Please save yourself the headache and seek a better office. Even after being charged twice Dao attempted to give me a vehicle with several scratches and areas of damage without noting them as well. I am still attempting to receive my funds back. This issue is not solved and it has been two weeks. There s not even a place for complaints and customer service suggest leaving feedback on the website . I hope you seek another business so that your process is not overly expensive and unprofessional as well. This office runs shady and does whatever they choose to do.

David was very quick, efficient, and respectable, great customer service. After I dropped off a car, at about noon on a Sunday (when they closed), he was already in his car to leave for the day and another couple showed up. It was about 12:15 at this point. They had no idea he was the employee there and could have easily drove off without helping them. He graciously took time out of his day to help them and had them driving away in under 5 minutes.

Picking up the car was a breeze and the attendant was very friendly/personable. We got an Xterra and it had plenty of room for our five plus bags. The car was in good condition. Really a nice experience and I could not ask for anything more. Dropping the car off at LAX was not a bad experience, but not great either. The one guy checking in cars was pretty behind so we just left the keys with the car and went to the bus transfer area. I wish they had a line to mark your spot because I hate the "stand anywhere and rush to the bus" thing you have to do to ensure you don't get left off the bus. There was two buses and there was amble room for everyone, but an established line would relieve the stress of "am I going to get on this bus and not get cut out off by late arrivers".

This location customer service is truly horrible. We went in to pick up a pre-paid rental. I just ordered a new license and had the valid interim paper provided by the CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES I also called the customer service line and reviewed their policies from the officialAvis website which states:Issued by US or Canada, or by another country that meets Avis requirements.-Must be valid entire rental period.-Cannot be suspended, expired, revoked, canceled, or surrendered.* Temporary licenses are acceptable if they meet the criteria above.When we arrived to pick up the rental I proceeded to present my VALID interim license, passport and credit card to the rental agent. Instantly I was met with horrible customer service. The rental agent Dao proceeded to tell me that Avis doesn t take interim drivers license. I proceeded to tell him how I spoke with several agents to ensure this would not be an issue and also showed him on the companies policy on the Avis website which states the criteria for temporary drivers license. Dao proceed to say well we don t, and we can go back and forth but things are not going to change he refused to accept my Valid paperwork and double charged us since my Bf had to rent with his debit card and drivers license. I have personally worked for several other rental agencies and stated that this is unusual for you not to accept official documents from the state of California . Dao proceeds to say well that s not here so we can t Dao customer service was very unprofessional and honestly the worst I have received from any car rental agencies. I do not recommend this location to anyone.UPDATE *** it has now been almost two weeks since we have experienced this issue. I called to formally complain and talk to the manager because we are still charged almost $700 for a rental that should not be even half of that. I was informed that Dao was the manager even though during our first convo he said he was just trained. BEWARE OF THESE SCAMMERS !!!!!!! We are still trying to get our money back and now have been advised to call billing yet again !!! DO NOT RENT FROM HERE , YOU WILL REGRET IT LATER !!

First time ever renting a car and my experience was great and quick I also used one of their upgrade codes and upgraded my car to an SUV at no additional cost. I got a Mitsubishi Outlander that only had 5000 miles and was new and clean. I would absolutely recommend Avis for your car rental needs.

Showed up to my reservation, just for them to tell me they gave the car I had reserved to someone else. They offered to give me another car but for $50 more. Manager admitting to accepting more reservations than cars in stock. Terrible service

This business committed fraud and stole from me. I d like to give them negative stars! They charged 3 credit cards for one rental and never gave back a penny of the over charges of1500 + dollars but instead sent me additional bills. I tried for months to work with corporate had proof and they did nothing!

Rented a car for one month with Avis Anaheim Hills and the experience was excellent. Paid a reasonable price, received an upgrade and the process to check in and out was very efficient.

Our experience at this location was just great. The car was ready when we got there and we given a free upgrade which is always nice. The parking there is a little tight and the spaces are very small, other than that I have no complaints.

Please do not rent from here. I was double charged for my car rental and had to go through a lot with Avis and my banks to contest and dispute the fraudulent costs. The customer service here seem profit hungry and don t seem to care about accuracy. Please go elsewhere.

Quite simply, these people are thieves. Rented a car and prepaid online. Bill at check out was three times higher than quoted. Rent from anyone other than these scurrilous outlaws.
