Expensive and lazy shop, don't go there!!! I needed to change the starter and oil change, mechanic start from oil change, then he waited oil filter for an hour and then told me that don't have a time for starter, but it was the main reason to come here, and finally I had to add more oil cause they put less than minimum for $95 by the way

One of the most dishonest business I have ever experienced. They tried to play tricks in selling me unnecessary parts and extending the length of labor time by faking meaningful work. I pointed out these tricks bluntly to their face and they were embarrassed and agreed to reduce the fee... I really trusted them at the beginning because they were recommended by my friend. I really hope they can just perform the service ethically and professionally so that I would be more than happy to give more tips for being honest and saving my time and energy. Instead, they just wanted to exploit my situation as if I didn't know anything and stupid...Very frustrating experience and wasted a lot of time.For technical details: I had a check engine sign with my Ford Fiesta 2018 (42000 miles). The error codes were P0451, P0456, P2196 and temporary misfiring after gas fueling. The problem was most likely due to a purge valve that cannot switch properly, leading to too rich gas for the oxygen sensor. An decent mechanics would firstly replace the purge valve and see if the all error codes gone. However, Yen's auto service replaced the oxygen sensor directly and stayed ambiguous to me if the old sensor was broken or not. I wanted to get back the old sensor to check the resistance but they claimed they threw it away, so I was not able to check... Mostly likely, I don't need a new oxygen sensor if the old one is not broken. The second day, after the purge valve part arrives, the mechanics spent 30-min lifting my car up and performed random actions under my car. But the purge valve replacement should be very straightforward and does not require doing anything from the bottom of the car. It just needs to open the lid and only take 3-5 minutes to finish according to all the YouTube video for the same model. The mechanics was faking labor time for higher payment. I pointed out these tricks they played to their face and the manager even started to simile due to the embarrassment and agreed to reduce the fee.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I've been taking my car to Mark for YEARS, and I've NEVER been disappointed.Consistently honest, kind, caring and fair. Who even says that about their mechanic?! I DO! Because Mark is wonderful. Not all heroes wear capes you guys. Sometimes they wear coveralls.

I am not sure if Mr Yen is not good at emission system problem or is not honest. Visited because the engine light was on. A diagnosis cost $85. He nicely came with the suggestion: try premium for a few days first, and if it did not work, replace the catalytic converter (CAT, costs $1500). The "cure" did not work. But he earned my trust, and I almost did the replacement with him.However, another mechanic was at least 90% sure that a new O2 sensor would solve the problem, because of the low milage on my 2004 car. (He came to replace the CAT and the O2 sensor, but he was honest enough to cut his business.) It turned out that the honest mechanic was right, and the total cost was $247.

I had 2 separate AAA technicians misdiagnose the problem with my vehicle. Yen s Auto correctly diagnosed the problem, fixed it, finished faster than the quoted time, charged me less than the initial quote, and told me to bring the receipt back if the problem were to persist and they would work on it again free of charge. So, yeah. I just moved to the Bay Area and I now have a permanent go-to mechanic for any future car maintenance issues. Thanks guys.

Really bad experience with this auto shop. They would recommend you to replace unnecessary & expensive parts. They strongly recommended me to change my generator & brake discs, which costed me around $3k. I learned later that I only needed to replace my brake pads & battery, which wouldn't cost > $1k I trusted them because they are also Chinese, but I learned my lesson in a very expensive way.

Yen's Auto Services is the absolute best auto repair shop ever! They just fixed my tire for a very reasonable price. They have always been responsive, well priced, and extremely conscientious. Can't ask for better service.

I took my Volkswagen Jetta to get my fog lights and cabinet replaced..$150 was too much..i asked why the heater not working it took them 2 days to keep guessing to find to problems..they did not know what's wrong with my heater..i paid the $150 and they don't know how to repair a Jetta..i am going to the dealer which is better..i recommend to not go to that auto repairServices: Air & cabin filter replacement, Electrical, Air conditioning
