Dana Meyer Auto Care made a usually stressful experience into something that was simple and easy, and everyone who works there is kind, knowledgable and reassuring. The techs sent me text updates on how my car was doing after I dropped it off, and it truly feels like I found an auto care place that cares just as much about my car as I do. I felt very comfortable discussing work that may need to be done on my car, did not once feel as though I was being taken advantage of or swindled, and I will absolutely be bringing my car here in the future. I love these guys. The people in front are friendly, flexible and helpful. The people in back are terrific. They go above and beyond. They have twice found things that were recalls and referred me to the dealer. When my side view mirror disappeared, they had me send a picture so that they could figure out what to order so I didn t have to come in. Regular maintenance is fast, neat and excellent. Can t do better than that.

Our first experience with Dana Meyer Auto Care was a very good one. It was easy to get an appointment and the repair was complete in an afternoon. The repair team did a thorough job looking over our car in addition to the needed repair.

Well organized and good service. Our car unfortunately required an $8K catalytic converter set, but they also offered us the Hail Mary option at no additional charge... a bottle of gunk to pour in the gas tank with the hope that it clears out enough sludge to pass smog for another year. We were pleased with our experience and the advice we received, and if we have to acquire another car will take it there for repairs based on the knowledge and integrity they displayed.

Friendly service, quick appointments, and transparent pricing. They follow manufacturer's maintenance schedule, so we switched away from getting dealer service for our Toyota.

Took my car here in the morning for a check engine light. The customer service was awesome with Jen & Brianna. They gave me a call by noon to tell me there were no issues with the car and that they added half a quart of oil and filled my tire. They later found the problem and fixed it. They also vacuumed my car. Would definitely come back again.

Great customer service. I appreciated the communication via email and text. I also liked the visual image which color coded issues by importance and allowed for a selection of options. There was a clear explanation of repairs needed and each cost. I was not pressured into getting all the work done at once. My car was ready when promised. My first time at DM. It was a most excellent experience . Brianna at reception was uber professional, knowledgeable & went out of her way to make sure all things that were glitchy were checked out and completed. She even linked my phone to the car!! Xtra stars for abode and beyond. Also,the car windshield and back window were cleaned . Loved that . Xtra stars for thid too.Thank you DM ..you are a most excellent team! .

This is by far my favorite mechanic in the Bay Area. The people at Dana Meyer are patient, great at explaining things and helping you think them through, and always do exceptional work. As a person who knows little about mechanics, it s great to come to a place where they are willing to walk you through each step of the work you need. They have kept my Tacoma in excellent shape.

Very friendly. Did a free check of my car and found a worn belt. They are open to cheaper alternatives before the big expensive ones. I've always had a good experience there although I haven't been for awhile.

Amazing and very helpful in every way possible!!! Lots of other shops tried to rip me off but Dana Meyer Auto Care was honest and super efficient with their service and prices!!! Excellent, thorough, friendly service. Clear communication about my cars issues and my options for repair. Awesome options for reviewing repair quote/service online but they also spoke with me about it on the phone.I always feel like I have no idea what s happening at the mechanic because I m not knowledgeable about cars but Dana s shop made me feel like I was making an informed choice and at the end of the day I felt I could trust them fully!I am satisfied with the outcome of my repairs and will definitely return for all future car maintenance.Services: Electrical repair, Air & cabin filter replacement, Auto water leak repair, Auto maintenance

I brought my car in for a routine maintenance and the service I received was great. I was worked in as a same-day appointment and the turnaround was quick.I was provided with the list of service they will perform and the price breakdown. There are some services my car may not need and they are transparent about that. So I appreciate the honesty.Overall, everyone is friendly and the service was great. Friendly and efficient customer service people. Was able to easily get an appointment the day after I called. I felt confident when I picked up my car that my Prius maintenance was properly done. I got an appointment right away, and the work was done when they said it would be. They were honest about the pricing when some of the maintenance tasks did not need to be performed. And, for me, they are conveniently located--walking distance from my home.

Not much work was actually done on the car but I was bringing it to an auto body shop soon and wanted to check that it was mechanically sound first. Dana confirmed that it was and I was good to go. Dana Mayer runs a good shop. My wife and I have been going to them for several years for a variety of services for our vehicles -- both 20 years old but with low mileage and in superb condition.The crew at DM helps us keep them that way. They appear to us to be highly experienced and fair with their charges. Watch out for receptionist Brianna. Not only does she have a disgusting attitude and terrible customer service, but will bait and switch you. Said she'd charge half off of an $87 service, then when I came to pick up my car, suddenly changes her story up claiming she never said that. SHAMEFUL. Avoid this shop at all costs!

I went in to do a regular oil change, and also a check-up for the screeches on my brakes. I was worried that the brake is wearing thin. They told me the brakes are still pretty solid, and screech was because it is too new, in a sense. That was pretty reassuring to know. What's surprising, and motivate me to write this review is that, they see my windshield washer containing has a hole, and just went ahead and fixed it for me. Also, the front bumper is missing a screw, and the end is popping out a bit, and they fixed it for me. No extra charge. If it were not for them, I probably would have to replace the windshield container, and go to body-shop to have that repaired. So I am very grateful for their thorough and careful service. And needless to say, friendly and efficient service and communications. Would strongly recommend to my friends.Services: Brakes, Oil change

While Mazda recommends changing their synthetic oil between 7500 and 12000 miles, Dana Meyer recommends 3750 miles, which was the previous standard for non-synthetic oil. They list on the Carfax report that you have missed an oil change if you go over their recommended limit. I would prefer to have a standard time frame for my oil change, preferably in line with the dealer recommendations.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

I can sum up my experience in two words: Competent & Communicative. What a breath of fresh air to actually receive a call from a mechanic who could explain in detail my car s problem. I was allowed to ask questions (unheard of at my previous mechanic) and was responded to with a full explanation. My car had to be transferred over to a KIA dealer shop for full diagnostics (which D Meyer had already performed but which KIA would not accept for an engine warranty claim). At least now I understand what happened to my car, so if the KIA team tries to pull a fast one they won't get away with it! Thank you Dana Meyer. Moving forward all of my future car maintenance projects will come here for a complete & honest assessment & work.Service: Vehicle Inspection
