Awesome folks, quality work, timely delivery, and great service! I am so happy to have found such a great place and will proudlysupport this small business. Brett and his team came highly recommended to me by my neighbor, whose entire family had their cars serviced by Car Care Service. Now I can honestly say I also recommend them too! I made an appointment for a Friday brake inspection as I was looking for new brakes for my older car. They inspected it and told me exactly what needed to be replaced and the cost upfront. They were able to do the work that day. Their prices were very reasonable, and they went above and beyond to deliver within their estimated time frame. They did everything right to finish my car so I could have it for the weekend. I am so happy to support such a reliable and professional independent repair shop! Now I know where to go for all of my car needs! Thanks again!

AMAZING experience. Had an issue with my car 2+ mechanics I took it to could not diagnose, including the dealership, which still charged me mad money to replace parts I didn't really need to fix. Brett got me in on a super tight timeline, and his mechanics immediately found the issue (which was indeed a bit sneaky / hard to diagnose). Fixed for an incredible price. Would highly recommend!!

We are a big fan of Car Care Service in Alameda. We have send our Toyota and Honda vehicles for both regular service and major repairs. Most recently, our old Prius was randomly losing power when accelerating. The Care Care team drove the Prius for an extensive multi-day test drive until they experienced the problem. Car Care provided their assessment and recommended solutions. Since the problem was random in nature, and the repair required replacing a number of parts, they encouraged me to get a second opinion with another repair shop, if we were uncomfortable with their recommendations. We love their honesty and transparency. With their 100% past repair track record, we forego getting a second opinion and the repair fixed the problem. We don't expect mechanics to be always perfect in their diagnosis, especially with older vehicles with aging parts, but I respect Car Care Service's honesty and dedication to do their very best to fix the problem. We never felt fleeced in doing unnecessary repairs, their rates are always lower than dealers, and over the years Care Car Service has earned our trust.

This place is the best. These guys are completely above board, honest as the day is long, and they know their stuff.This is my second car that I ve broght to them; tonight on the way home the check engine light came on; this could either be something simple or the death of a vehicle.I dropped by at 5 o clock to see if they could get me in the next day (The owner and mechanic had to leave to pick up his kids but instead he took a few minutes to help me ) they took the time to check my oil level and run a diagnostic. No need to worry. Cost $0.00.2024: I've been back sinnce and my review still stands. As a geek myself I took one look in their shop and realized that these guys were serious: half of the shop looks like a junkyard - fancy waiting rooms? No. Coffee? Sure if you go across the street. Full tuneup. Replaced all fluids. Actually reset the oil change monitor on the vehicle. The knew what a focus st is. Very reasonable and professional. Will use them from now on.

Brett is very knowledgeable about cars. He is super nice, friendly, patient, and professional. I asked him to do a pre-purchase inspection on a Fiat 500. He did an excellent work on that and really helped me make a wiser decision. The price is very reasonable as well. I would definitely let him to take care of my car for future maintenance and highly recommended his store to all other vehicle owners.Thank you so much! I came in for a Pre Sale Inspection because I was interested in buying a car, I ended up not buying the car, but Brett did the diagnostic report and he was so honest and through and really took the time to look at everything and explain it to me. I was very pleased with his professionalism and the quality that he took in the minor task presented. I highly recommend Car Care Service for anyone looking for a legitimate and honest mechanic. Did I mention that I drove up from Santa Cruz?

Found this local shop after a terrible experience at my local Mazda dealer, where the service writer lied to me directly to my face. Had a synthetic oil change performed, and all services come with a free safety inspection. Got a quote for the service before I brought the car in, and no unpleasant surprises when I picked it up. Excited to be able to work with a local Alameda shop too! Brett is conscientious and honest, and I'll be servicing my cars here from now on.

Now is under new boss - Brett. They are fantastic and awesome. I did oil change services twice there already (two cars) within a year. I am now trying to grab everyone I know to do maintenance at this shop. Be sure to make appointment or talk with Brett first with your concern via phone/yelp.

I brought the car in after a terrible experience at the Ford Store in San Leandro ( I am not sure if they did what they claimed, a 100k service - when we tried to reach them they did not return our calls). What a welcome contrast in competence and communication! They diagnosed our issue. They stayed in communication with us. The price was reasonable.

Awesome shop. These guys are honest and straightforward. They are true advisors and will do what's best for your car and your wallet. Very reasonable prices. I don't go anywhere else.

Honest, impeccable, they had my best interest in mind. I bought a used 1996 used Honda Accord. Upon buying it they inspected it and let me know that I got a great car for a good deal. They could have made money off of me and charged me for the couple of things I needed to get fixed but they said they car would still work great without those tweaks and it has been. Thanks guys!

We have taken our family's Subarus to Car Care Service several times now. We have never experienced mechanics who so clearly know what they're doing and are so honest. It's taken us a long time to stumble across these guys, but I think we are now set for life!

George is a very friendly owner and has excellent techs. They use NAPA parts and are a NAPA Auto Care center so I know my warranty should i ever need it, will be honored anywhere I go. A very clean shop and always a good experience!
