Place is always busy customer service is not very good. only to add more services they like to sell. Not very friendly place. And 10-20% more expensive compare to other local shops.I drop the car off at 8:15 told me to to come back in 2hrs, when I went back they haven't even start working on the car. I understand that it could be a busy morning for them but you can't give fault information to customers. They could say that they need car for a day or half day, I had to waste all morning because of their careless attitude.I don't recommend this shop!

Had an unplanned tire loss while driving in Oakland in the rain on Monday night and called BDTP first thing Tuesday morning and Mike took great care of me and had me set up so when I got there 30 minutes later my car was being serviced ASAP. He was helpful in helping me choose a new tire that would be compatible to my Michelin tires. I was in and out in 1 hour and 10 minutes at a fair price. I drove my car to the City with heavy rain and was very happy to feel safe with my new all season tire. Highly recommend this company that has 5 star service. I have gone there many times to put air in my tires too as it is better than a gas station and always friendly.

I m very pleased with this place. I was welcome and treated as a royal customer. Ron assisted me and went through all the work they did on my 2017 Audi A4. I will be coming back for all my auto needs in the future. FYI- I created a free membership account on their website and was offered 4 separate discounts - between $15 and $25- 1 for each time I come in. I got an alignment today and got $25 off.

If you work during business hours, RUN!! Just find someplace else.Here is the kind of disrespect you can expect as a new customer.You can't pay over the phone and pick up later.They don't tell you that when you drop off the car!And if you can't pay and pick up your car before FOUR in the afternoon, they tell you it will cost $100 night. That's more than parking at the Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco!!They apparently think that you should trust them with your car but they won't trust you to pay over the phone. Really?They said it will be different if I came back. Rest assured I won't. You can't disrespect your customers, inconvenience and extort them and expect them to return.And they are no bargain either. They clipped me for $185 just to diagnose the problem And it wasn't applied to the repair!This may be the new standard? I have NEVER heard of it before. I have ALWAYS paid by phone and picked up after hours. I have NEVER been threatened with a $10O/night storage fee. I have owned cars for over 45 years.If this seems "normal" to you, I'll quote an old song "you better shop around".Is the car fixed? Yes. That is what I paid for. I could have done without the abuse.Apparently they used to be Big O Tires, which explains a lot actually. Big O has had to pay out several class action lawsuits over the years for fraud and scams (Google Big O Tires Fraud).

Questionable business practices. They offered to check my alignment for free if I got the 1yr alignment warranty $129. if I didn t need the alignment they would take it off my bill. I asked them to call me after checking and tell me how much it was off by so I could make an informed decision on whether it was worth doing it.Never called, just did it and charged me.

Been getting my tires done with this company when it used to be Big O tires on Park St. Now they moved and changed to Big Discount tires, still provide the same great service. Gary and his crew are superb. I haven't had any issues, and if one comes up, they will fix it right away. Happy repeat customer here.

I had a super long week and left here a bit frustrated because it took a little longer to get my car. But looking back, I know the staff was doing the best they could. They have honest pricing and you can tell they care about their service

Got a set of Falken Wildpeaks for my Forester and Gary the salesman was very helpful and thorough going over each like item. Was able to have the tires delivered the next day and installed. The car needed some other safety work, rear brake pads, rotors, etc. They got it all fixed up same day. I really super professional, courteous, and overall had a good experience. Would do business again.

This place is awesome. The customer service was great. The work was first rate. I got an unexpected road damaged tire and a picked up a huge bolt during my lunch hour. They got me back on the road within an hour. I recommend Big Discount Tire Pros 100%.!

I took my car here to have a tire replaced and left the car overnight to pick up the next day. When I picked my car up, the moment I drove it away I noticed something was up with my transmission. I hadn't experienced even the slightest suggestion of an issue with my transmission before taking my car here. I contacted them about it twice. They assured me that the cars are secure over night, but now I'm spending $3,000 getting my manual transmission replaced. I'm not sure if an employee took my car for a joy ride or something, but it is incredibly suspicious that I started having transmission issues over night after leaving my car in their care. I'm wishing I had a dashcam or that I had checked the odometer when I dropped it off and when I picked it up.

Such a fan of these guys, I started coming here for the tires (which are always cheaper than anywhere else and they will patch them for free afterwards) but have started bringing our cars here for regular service - they have so many employees and every single one I ve interacted with has been kind, honest, and their customer service is amazing. Can t recommend them enough.

To me it felt like the tire pros went above and beyond, even though the way they conducted themselves it looked like just another day doing their thing. I commute into SF and discovered a flat yesterday. The team here fit me in and got me patched, aligned, balanced, rotated and with an oil change all at once. I got a bunch of basic maintenance done and still was able to get to work today. My car drives so smooth now. I had no idea how bad it needed the attention. All aces over there!

SERVICE WITH A SMILE. Brought our Model 3 into this place with a bad shake on the highway. Gary was so gracious getting us in quickly, helpfully explained all that needed to happen before they did the work, and showed us a quote beforehand. All went smoothly and happy to report the car doesn t shake anymore! Will go back for any future tire needs.

These guys are extremely professional and caring. They take care of you no matter what. Today, an individual named Ron went above and beyond. I paid $129 for alignment for 1 year. After picking up my car, nearly 2 hours later I realized that my account at Big Discount had a discount of $29 from a previous service of tire purchase. I called to see if they would cancel my $129 transaction & apply discount and then charge again. Rather than having me come in, Ron gave a refund directly to my credit card. The amazing part is - Ron found a coupon and gave me a total refund in excess of $51!! Too good, too cool, too awesome! Kudos to Ron!

This place is outstanding! I got a flat tire and I used the liquid stuff that came with the car to fix it. and as a result no other place would touch the tire. They said they couldn t repair it. They all wanted to charge me $400 for a new tire. DJ is the man and he said bring it in. Let me take a look at it. He also said that if he couldn t fix it, I could buy the tire on tire rack and he would install it for me because the tire I have is so difficult to find. The other tire place in Alameda wouldn t touch it and said no. I will be forever loyal to big discount tires everybody to go there.

I showed up after hitting something on the road and getting a flat tire. Ron looked at each of my tires, showed me the wear & tear, and suggested I replace 2 more, given their age. Three new tires and a full alignment in less than 2 hours, and Ron followed up with a call to make sure my tire pressure light stayed off after I drove away.10/10 if you ever need tire service in Alameda

I had a nail in my tire and so obviously I needed a new one but the guys at Tire Pros went above and beyond. They took care of so much more than my 1 tire. They were friendly and personable and so professional. Thank you so much

The people here are so kind, from the first phone call inquiring about an alignment, to bringing my car in and getting it done. From my service person, Ron, to the woman who checked me out at the counter, they were all awesome and provided superstar customer service (and warmth, which I feel is so rare these days!). Their price was already competitive and then Ron threw in a $25 new customer coupon. He even saw that my key fob battery was low and changed it for me for free, without me even asking. They got my car in and out quickly, as I was waiting in their waiting area, which is also a much nicer facility than you'd detect from the street view with nice seating, coffee, wifi, bathrooms, etc. I highly recommend this place, they took great care of me!!

Mike was so friendly and helpful! My tire was busted up (factory fault from a different shop), they replaced the tire and had me in and out within an hour! Highly recommend this spot for your tire needs! Great prices and variety of choices. Go early in the morning when it s less busy.

My Family has been bringing our autos to Gary when he was still on Park St, and long before I was born, I believe. (No, I will NOT be revealing my Age, suffice it to say it's been a long while)Best place for tires & any of your auto repair needs. Gary is still there and still Amazing as ever!Best customer service, auto service, all around the very Best of Alameda!

Got my new tires from. It was fast. Great customer service. Only problem I had is that whoever install the tires scratch my rims near the valve stem. Didn't notice it till after washing the car.

Great service, decent prices, and trustable. Got a new set of tires there and an oil change, in the process they discovered some play on my hubs and were up front with the cost of fixing vs the cost of letting them go a while, so being low on time and cash I was able to put this repair off and didn t feel pressured into purchasing.

Unbelievably overpriced. My quote to install a TPMS was more than double the competitors. Had a similar experience buying a new tire. Not very big discount of them

I tried to make an appointment for Monday the 7th of August. They refused to make the appointment. So on the 7th I dropped by the tire shop. The tire representative tried to charge me for a wheel alignment without tell me, and a five year tire wrannty without tell me. Upon reading the work order I notices the two charges. I told the tire representative to take it off. He took the charges off. My point is that the shop should not tried to sell things that you do not need. If I did not pay attention to the work order I might have to paid for services that I did not need. Not very honest.
