Sebastian was amazing. As a woman I regularly feel I am getting ripped off at the dealership auto shop. He was recommended to me by a friend. This place offers great prices and you can trust their work. Highly recommend and will be coming back!

These guys are great. They ve never made me feel pressured into any extra maintenance and are always straightforward with me about what is and isn t necessary for my car. Very helpful and trustworthy

He was closing for the Christmas weekend. The garage gate was being locked. I asked for just 5 minutes. He had his daughters in the car ready to leave... and, yet, he helped me.He took no payment to inspect and reccomend and reassure me that I could travel without worry.This guy, the owner of 1701, is the BEST.He is what an honest mechanic -- a respected human -- should be.Go there and be impressed and humbled.

Can t make this up. After I paid (with a tip) I get handed my invoice and I m told, with a straight face, oh we can t get your key out of the ignition. My response was, what? Ya, my guys tried but we couldn t get it out . Baffled. Like I was shook. Just, what? Weird that I was told this after I d paid. So anyway now my keys in my car just hanging out in the city with the key in the ignition while I go to work. Please don t steal it?

I've been coming here for years now and have always had a great experience. They've never overcharged me or tried to upsell me on something I didn't need, and have listened to and resolved every issue I've had with my car. When I had a small puncture in one of my tires, they plugged it up for free!One time, they quoted me $80 for some service which I thought was a fair price. When they actually fixed up my car, the total ended up being less, at just $50. They could've charged me the full $80 and I would've never noticed or complained but they're just really honest, lovely people.I actually used to live in Alameda when I first started coming here years ago, and have since moved to San Francisco but I just make the trip back out here every half year or so for all my car work because I can't imagine finding a better mechanic!

The people at 1701 Auto Care are the best mechanics. Great service, very reasonable prices, and super nice. Definitely recommend!!

Very unhappy wrong diagnostic. If you go only go with Sebastian. Sebastian is one of the best mechanics i ve used but his employees not so much, will only be using sebastian from here on out. i payed money to tow the car jus for me to have to tow it backService: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

These folks helped me the first time when I was in a serious bind. They had continued to be life savors with great attitude. They are so damn nice I'm not sure they're real. But I price check before I go and they always have the best deal. I invite you to shop around because it doesn't get better than these guys.

The anti-dealership experience. I ve never felt compelled to write a review before but these guys are extraordinarily competent, honest, and fair. I have never been upsold or given a repair I haven t needed. They ve told me of fixes covered under recalls when they could have just charged me for the repair and sent me on my way. Support a local business and a couple of great guys who do good, upstanding work.

A solid and reliable team. After searching for an honest garage I am very happy to have found these folks. Malcolm and his team are extremely courteous, responsive and efficient. I highly recommend them as we rely on them to keep my 17 year car safe and on the road.

I have come here repeatedly with my Saturn and Tahoe and have exemplary service, from easy stuff I probably could have done myself with a YouTube video and a toolkit to stuff a specialist should do. Such a wonderful and amazing team here. We have taken our car for a couple of oil changes here now and I am so glad I found this mechanic. They are honest, reasonably priced and very responsive. The three times we have taken it in (2 oil changes and one diagnostic check for our battery), they have always squeezed us in that same very day. I also have gotten some useful advice from Malcolm regarding purchasing a used car- he gave me some good tips.Such a rare find, and that's on an international scale too. This mechanic is a long term keeper. I highly recommend!

We have used 1701 Autocare several times to replace and fix various issues on our Toyota Prius. The team is so kind and trustworthy. My experience with 1701 has been great. They have quickly diagnosed problems and made appropriate repairs. I have used them about 6 times for 3 different Toyotas. Twice they have suggested ways to save money on my repairs. So far they have been 5 star.

I go here for everything. They genuinely check for what needs to be done, not everything they can charge you for. I've never been "upsold" in my 5-6 times of taking my car in. It's really rare to find a mechanic you can trust, which makes these guys the best!

We wouldn't take our car to anybody else, these guys are awesome. They go above and beyond for their customers. Posting them as having friendly and professional service does not really give them enough credit, they treat everyone as family.

I reached out to this shop after my catylitic converter was stolen and they were were very responsive. My questions were answered quickly and thoroughly. They even gave advice about alarm systems to prevent future theft. I ended up needing to go with a different shop for insurance reasons but I want to commend 1701 Auto Care on their excellent communication and guidance.

These guys are fantastic!! I had a flat on Sonata and they fixed the flat quickly. Very helpful and well knowledgeable, we ended up buying tires for our car a few months later.

AMAZING!!! This is the best car service establishment ever! Malcolm, one of the owners, goes above and beyond each time. He explains everything in detail and is super friendly. He is honest and does not try to cheat you, like most other repair stores.

I can t say enough about this establishment. It is an old school shop. Real mechanics not technicians'. People who understand cars and understand how you feel about your car. They take the time to figure out what your particular car needs then they do it correctly. For a good price. And they stand behind it.

They are very good and accurate in service ..... price may very. The fix my Honda Accord down Gard only $110+tax( it asked $250 at Honda ). Recommend
