All around exceptional experience! This place is a hidden little piece of heaven. Homemade breakfast server hot and delicious to your private cabin. Kitchen is fully stocked, beds are like sleeping in clouds without being too soft. No complaints just a wonderful relaxing weekend retreat. If your finicky about drinking out of the sink I sure bringing you own.

Beautiful and relaxing! The concept of 1800 s cabins and mercantile next to a historic town is pretty neat. You can walk around the entire property petting the goats, pigs, and mini cows. As plans changed last minute, we were happy to find such a place to stay. We spent our time waiting for check in roaming the courthouse and driving by the historic sights in town. There isn t much in the town of Washington if you need anything, but Hope is just a 10 minute drive and provides everything you need. We would love to stay again but longer, and order the room service breakfast they offer for only $12!

The Rynders Cabin, at Coulter Farmstead, was a very unique experience!! I would describe Rynders Cabin as "romantic, quiet, peaceful, and relaxing". It is a place to go if one is looking to de-stress. If I was a writer, this would be the place I would definitely want to go to write. The fireplace in the cabin was a definite plus; although, you can only burn fire logs (not firewood), and you need to leave the cabin clean to a certain degree according to renter's policy. I spent most of my time in awe of the construction of this very old cabin built in the mid-1800 s in historic Washington, Arkansas, State Park. There is no hustle and bustle within the park. The population here, at the time, was only 180. It is definitely worth Googling the historic buildings, which are many, in this small area. The must see, within the park, is the 180-year-old magnolia tree. My main purpose, for this trip, was to go to the Crater of Diamonds State Park which is only 40 minutes away. The drive is beautiful!

This place was amazing, very secluded, but not to far from stores and shops. The hosts were amazing, friendly and the little store had great food you could take to the cabinet to heat up. Was delicious, and they also offer their home cooked breakfast delivered right to your cabinet! That's was amazing too. Can't say enough good things. We will be back in the future! Please don't forget to say hi the Theador!

It's strange how a place with such a tumultuous history can feel so peaceful. So much has happened on these grounds for so many years. The owners are so kind and don't try to "whitewash" history. It's an incredible place to stay, explore and learn.Rooms: The Bozeman Barn has an open space concept, with a comfortable feel.

My wife and I stayed over Labor Day in the Rynders Log Cabin and what an experience it was. Just sitting in the chair staring at the 100+ years of history in the walls was pretty awesome. We grilled and had an amazing dinner while observing the farm life around us. Justice and Katie are by far 5 star hosts. Making sure you have what you need. Do make sure to stop in the Mercantile store and preorder the breakfast! It is a must! We will return! Thanks again Coutler Farmstead.David & Angela Suttle

This place is amazing! It's a very peaceful farm with pigs, goats, chickens and two cool cats. The breakfast is totally worth getting. We stayed in the Kirksey cabin which was really fun. Kind of like being in the 1800s but with indoor plumbing! Lots of cool historical buildings and it's a short walk up the hill to the Pioneer Cemetery and Washington state park. Justice and his daughter Willow were perfect hosts. This place gets our highest recommendation.

My husband and I stayed here this past week for one night and loved our stay. We stayed as RV "Boondockers" so I didn't see the cabins or barn but I already know they were top notch based on the breakfast and the on-site store. You have to get the breakfast! Outstandingly delicious. The grounds are gorgeous especially now in the fall. We absolutely will stay again if we are in the area. The host was charming and hospitable

I enjoyed my stay at Coulter Farmstead. The room was was quaint, quiet with rustic charm. Kitchen was fully stocked. The deep claw foot tub was especially nice. There is a well equipped mercantile store on site. The farmstead is located next to historic Washington State Park.Rooms: Renovated cabins are fully furnished with comfy cozy beds. Hard wood floors. Rocking chairs on the front porch. Fire pits out back with picnic tables.Nearby activities: The Crater of Diamonds, Historic State Park, and the Southwest Arkansas Archives are all nearby. Also, the small town of Hope offers various festivals throughout the year. Plan on making the Watermelon Fest in early August.Walkability: Nicely paved sidewalks leading to each cabin and swimming pool. The Mercantile store has a handicap ramp.Noteworthy details: Coulter Farmstead offers renovated log cabins, a unique barn and is a wedding and event venue located in Washington, Arkansas.

This place is absolutely the best thing that Arkansas has!!!! Katie and Justice (the owners) are absolutely fabulous to deal with!!! They make you feel right at home and like you are a part of their family. We absolutely loved interacting with the goats. And the pigs are super cute!!!! I loved every minute that we were there. And let me tell you the scenery is absolutely gorgeous. It makes for the best pictures you will probably ever get. And don t even get me started on the store there. They have the cutest little knickknacks. I got this wonderful, smelling candle for fall and I m absolutely in love with it. I can truly say that I had a hard time leaving this serene and peaceful place. There s nothing like it anywhere else around. It s worth every penny that I spent. I m not only left with great memories. But I feel like I left with some great friends.

The grounds, mercantile store, and lodging accommodations are stunning. Not a single blade of grass is out of place; nor the slightest spec of dust. It is emblematic of the owners fastidious attention to detail, exhaustive hard work, and a yearning for perfection that are selflessly passed on for his respective guests to enjoy.Brad was exceptionally kind, sociable, and accommodating. Several other visitors came and went during our stay, but my spouse and I were conditioned to feel as though we were his only guests. We d certainly stay again and hope to do so soon.

WOW. Such a wonderful experience. First, the Neal Cabin was nice and clean and decorated so tasteful, it really felt historic yet modern. It was very relaxing. Brad (the owner) was so nice to talk to and a very gracious host. You can tell how hard he works because it shows in all the small details of the property. Now the best part. THE BREAKFAST IS TO DIE FOR!!!! And the other small cakes and snacks in the general store made the stay feel extra special. I'll definitely stay again!

It's a really nice place, quaint and quiet. Some really cool stuff to see in the old cabins. The farm part is... not what I was expecting. There are goats, pigs, chickens, horses and cows (we did not see the horses or cow). The owner was clear the animals aren't for eating, so if you buy from their on site store, you won't be buying meat from the farmstead itself. Speaking of the store, it has a lot of nice stuff in it, including allergy friendly snacks I wasn't expecting to see, so my son was able to get a treat he otherwise wouldn't have had the option of.There is a nice salt water pool in the middle that was really well kept and clean as well.Overall, the stay was very pleasant, and I suggest anyone to come and have a nice relaxing stay, as I would certainly come back myself.

Brad has done an awesome job restoring these historic cabins. Coulter Farmstead is definitely a place I would recommend to anyone wanting to get away for a quiet weekend. You can play games with the family, swim and hike around the property reading historical markers and looking at farm animals. I recommend trying the hot breakfast that is delivered to your doorstep. Beautiful area and I ll definitely be back. Enjoyed every minute.

Brad is fantastic! We are so thankful that he came to our small neck of the woods and created such an amazing getaway. The cabins are so unique, completely equipped with anything you may need for your stay. The tub in the large cabin is phenomenal!! Perfect little honeymoon spot, even though there are 3 queen beds upstairs with a second little nook room up there with two twin size beds too. I'm blow away with what Brad has created!! The barn is beautiful, I haven't been inside but have heard is beautiful! You should totally check Coulter Farms out! I can't wait to see what all Brad continues to do with his farm.

my husband and I travel from Oklahoma to Arkansas all the time in order to spend quality time with a precious 4 year old. :) After staying in Magnolia Ark for years to spend time with our girl, we stumbled upon Coulter. This was the PERFECT find. Quiet, things to do (feeding the goats/pigs/checking out the chickens/etc) , fresh air, convenience, CLEAN accommodations. This place Is pure magic. A perfect combo of old with new (bathrooms A+) ...made the perfect escape while still having room to roam and feel free. Katie was extremely accomodating online and Justice was amazing working the Mercantile + helping with some hot water issues. We look forward to our return hopefully many times. Pictures don't do it justice and I am so happy we found Coulter.

I recently stayed at the Coulter Farmstead Bed & Breakfast for a long weekend getaway. The Farm was such a step back in time but still has the modern conveniences. The Host Brad was so personable and showed such great southern hospitality! The continental breakfast was more like a gourmet breakfast & the homemade yogurt was absolutely amazing. The swimming pool is very well maintained. I would definitely recommend this wonderful place for any family looking to get a way with their family for a long weekend in the country or for a couple looking for a romantic getaway.

Absolutely Lovely. My daughter an I stayed in one of the cabins. So cute. Kept the historic charm but added modern conveniences. Comfortable bed and pillows, well stocked kitchen, super clean. Don't miss the breakfast. Super yummy and served very fresh (muffins and egg souffl piping hot right out of the oven) to your door. Mercantile is also great. We'll be back to spend more time.

We were in town for a wedding in Hope and we stumbled across this little gem right outside of Hope. I love to walk around and explore, we met the owners and they were so kind and so inviting they made us feel like family! They allowed us to walk the property. We found out it was a bed-and-breakfast and a harvest host. They had a small retail store, goats, and some cute little cottages all throughout the property. If we would ve known this little gem was here, we would ve stayed here, maybe next time we are in Hope Arkansas. This cute place is nestled in the Historic Washington woods.
