The place is such a nice, calm, and beautiful place to stay at! I would definitely come again. The motel room was so clean, and the service was wonderful! It was nice and calm, plus the motel room has a beautiful view of the lake where I can wake up early, drink coffee, and watch the sunrise. Everyday there is people catching fish on the docks there, so fishing wouldn't be a big problem if you want to bring your kid out. If you are going to vacation here, I would recommend it!

Had an overnight stay. Didn't really get to see the lake, next time. Great people! Led us into the motel room at almost midnight. RV area was leveled and had a great view of the lake. Motel room was clean and freshly painted. Microwave and large dorm fridge. Medium size dog friendly with deposit! Room was a little musty and bed was harder than I was comfortable with. Thank you for your hospitality!

This place is wonderful. My wife and I have been staying here for the past 5 months. I travel for my job and to have a wonderful place like this is a blessing. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel like part ofthe family. The manager, Karen, is the best. She and her staff do everything they can to make you feel welcome. Our friends have come to stay here and visit and never had any problems. The rooms are clean and the surroundings are a wonderful way to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Also the weekly Friday night pot luck is a blast with music, fun, and great comversation. I will stay here again in the future if my job send me this way.

I work over the road and Harris break rents campers monthly. Which is convenient also I am less than 50 yards away from the lake which is even better. Extremely quiet spot. The setup isn't too bad and they also have wifi and a nice little laundry mat so you don't have to drive to find one.

I love staying in the cabins they are so nice and roomy. It's so refreshing to set on one of the docks and hear the water splashing as I watch the sun set in the evening and then to wake up early and watch the sun rise over the water it is so beautiful and so tranquil. The owners Mr. AJ & Mrs. Shirley and their family are some of the sweetest people to be around, and their staff was awesome, if I need something or if I need directions they were there ready to help. (If you haven't stayed here before you need to book your next get away here you will really enjoy yourself!!)

Darrell and Allison are very nice people and excellent landlords. I think they were superb and they care about all tenants. Its away from the hustle and bustle of city life and its a nice calm place to live. The sunrises are unbeatable and the fishing is great !!!!! Great for a vacation or to live there :)

I have just removed a review for Harris Brake Lake Resort that was written by a person who was using my phone. The review talked of roaches and fleas at the park, but I'm here to set this straight. Myself and my 2 yorkies were there for 4 months, and I had never even once seen a flea. I did see a few cockroaches, however, they were only in the camper of the person who had written the nasty review that I just removed. That camper was owned by him, and is no longer at Harris Brake. The owners of the park are very lovely people. There are rules that must be abided by to keep the park improving. If you don't follow the rules, they will move someone in who will. Even though I don't stay there anymore, I still go back to visit.Don't miss out on Harris Brake Lake Resort, it's like moving home!!

Had my first experience with this establishment this past weekend. Let me first off say that this place sits on a beautiful lake as Harris Brake has always been one of the premier fishing lakes in Central Arkansas and is very scenic. However, this place looked very ruined down and out of date. Additionally, there is absolutely zero reason why this place should be allowed to sell live bait. I am not sure if the lady inside was an owner or just employed there, but she was not very knowledgeable with the entire business module. Selling Minnows, (if you want to call them that), at $2.95 per dozen is a crime. Any bait store near Conway, etc sells them per LB and roughly $14-$15 for that LB. That is roughly 11-13 dozen minnows in that bag. I had to purchase 10 dozen minnows (because that's basically all you had in the Vat) at $2.95 per dozen spending $32 after tax. Not only the price of the purchase was absurd, but the lady said she wasn't able to count how many went in and not able to weigh per LB (Mind you there was a scale sitting on the counter in the back room where the Vats are). To Top it off once the minnows were in the bag she placed a rubber band over the bag without putting Oxygen in the bag for the minnows to keep them alive. When I inquired she advised that most people just take them outside real quick and put them in a bucket of their own and they do not have an oxygen tank there to put in the bag full of minnows. We were headed to Lake Nimrod to fish and had to buy bait at this establishment because the one closest to Nimrod was closed due to the owner on vacation. Luckily, we have a nice minnow chest with oxygen to keep the minnows alive or else we would've been SOL. Lastly, when presenting my method of payment (Because I was extremely ready to get out of there) she tried to act as if they didn't accept that method. I literally pointed to the front of the register to show her that it said right there they did so after speaking to her for a solid minute she allowed me to run my card and of course it went through without issue. We lost about $2.00 worth of minnows before we could even get them in bucket outside to keep them alive! We fish a lot of Central AR lakes very frequently and that includes Harris Brake, but never again will we stop at this establishment for anything point blank!

It was very beautiful came up here with my mum and our dog. We have came up a couple time the past two year. Since my mum started working around here and I moved back home with her. It's our little place of serenity in our worlds of insanity!

Cannot get a reservation. They only want to rent to monthly occupants or workers working out of town. Anyone wanting to come visit the lake and use the lake for what it was built for cannot. I cannot believe Arkansas Game and Fish are allowing this. I have tried personally a half dozen times to get my friends from out of town a room to stay in. Wether you are a small operation or a chain I have never heard of only taking reservations 2 weeks out. They really need to get in to modern times where people plan ahead.

My husband and I stayed a week last year and the local police were called twice. Not sure what the issues were but arrests were made. It is a beautiful place although you can't swim in the lake, you can fish.

First and foremost this isn't a resort. The only thing living the resort lifestyle is all the snakes living under the dock that is is rotting into the water. The owner lives in a foreign country which obviously he's taking all the profits oversees with him. Such a beautiful slice of Arkansas to be leased to someone who refuses to help beautify this wonderful state. This was my second time back in two years. The staff he recently let go was everything you would expect from such a hospitable state. They used to have karaoke and a meal every Saturday night, but the owner came back to the states and let them go for reasons I don't know. (Definitely not because of there warm and hospitable attitudes.) Now from what the locals are telling it is being ran by a known thief and drug abuser. Which seems to be the norm being the maintenance man went to jail for beating his wife in the park. Man hunt insued...kid friendly.... I think not. So I hope this helps you find your next stay in Arkansas without having the horrible experience I indured.Makes you ask the question should the state lease to people who dont live in the great nation we call home. He will respond to this with "as an out of town owner" and definitely will not address any of the issues I've discussed.

It is clean, beautiful, and great fishing. For the 4th of July, it is known for it's FREE fire work show, which generally is done within a few or so days before the 4th. This place is family friendly and a nice place to watch beautiful fire works in the night sky over the beautiful lake.

Beautiful scenic lake, friendly staff. Lots for RV camping. We were hoping for tent camping, so had to look elsewhere but it's a great spot if you're looking to go on the lake or fish.
