Everything was great except the water, the water coming out of the hookup for our RV site was dark brown to reddish... Byrdfest is a great music festival to bring the whole family to. We all love this place the only thing was the water really.

This Mulberry River campground and private off-road park is top notch. The scenery is spectacular at every season, but Autumn is exceptionally beautiful. The camp spots are roomy and pavilions all over. The shower house is big and lovely and supports privacy. The trails range from easy to expert with spectacular views.

A wonderfully secluded scenic campground right on the Mulberry River. I have traveled all over the world and Byrds is a special place. It's a great environment, a friendly place to stay with breathtaking views, and incredible people. We'll worth a visit for any outdoor enthusiast or adventuring family.

Great people great area. Spent 4 nights here for a Jeep Jamboree. Very friendly people in a great location. Campsites are jammed in basically on top of each other but that's pretty typical of most all established campgrounds. The shower house is well kept and clean. The only negative thing I have to say is that the water coming out of the spigot in the camp spots (at least at site 10) has a slightly foul odor as well as a slight red/brown tinge to it making me wonder how clean/potable it is.

I called to plan a trip here but won t be going. We have one guy in the group that rides an ATV and doesn t have a helmet or care to wear one. I simply called and asked, Do you have a helmet rule for ATV .Lady says, We ask that you heed all safety requirements required by manufacturer (or something like that). I said yes I understand but do you make someone leave if they dont? She repeats the same exact thing over and over. I narrowed this down very easily. Yes on no question only, if we drive 3 hrs there will we be sent back home for no helmet? She repeats the same stupid sentence again. I have asked this type of question many times at other places with a very clear answer but she struggles with basic communication. Won t ever go here.

Pictures of newly remodeled cabins is not correct. What ever you do check it out before you rent. They did refund us but drove 4 hours only to find a Very old ran down cabin by the river. Very disappointed!

Camped here while completing the Ark High Country NW Bikepacking Loop. It was a great experience. The staff was very accommodating and extremely friendly. Showers were great. We had blacken salmon and beer for dinner from the restaurant and got sandwiches to go from the store deli for breakfast and lunch for the next day. Definitely recommend.

Byrd's still hosts and platforms Jimmy Tebeau(leader of The Schwag) a known predator and compromised individual. Every byrdfest unknowing patrons are shoveling money into the pockets of an old man that likes to take advantage of young vulnerable women, especially performers. Until they split ways with him, I can't support the campground or the wonderful family that own it.

A spur of the moment overnight trip had my husband and I make our way to Byrd s. We were the only ones in the area, which made it very peaceful. The woman at the general store made sure that we had everything we needed and apologized for no satellite tv and little cell service. That s what we were there for! She was very nice. It was a pleasant experience. I m not an outdoorsy person, but this was the perfect blend of modern amenities and getting close to nature.

Wonderful place to take tour family, camp, and ride your offroad vehicles. Affordable camping. Pleasant staff, and more than enough trails to keep you busy for a full weekend. Definitely recommend and will be coming here often now that I've discovered it.

Camped (primitive) and floated memorial day weekend 2020. Arrived Friday evening about 6:00 or so and the place seemed to be pretty packed. I guess with everything going on and restrictions slowly easing, everyone wanted to get out for the weekend. A little confusion at the front gate and the store attendant (Kayla) concerning our payment and instructions to receive wristbands for primitive camping, but that was figured out shortly. To be honest, we did not expect so many RVs and ATV enthusiasts. I now understand that is what Byrd's is mostly known for. Not exactly "our scene," but we made things work the best we could. Did have a slight concern with the neighbors running their generator all night and blaring music over that until sun rise. Fortunately, we were able to move our campsite closer to the office / river Saturday morning before we floated. The floating was phenomenal once we got onto the river. There seemed to be a little confusion Sunday with a potential overbooking and had to wait for over an hour and a half for the shuttle near the camp store to take me back down to where we put in the river upstream. Uhh well, I guess those things happen. They were able to work with us and extend the time we needed to be back which made things work out nicely. Big shout-out to Noah who was more than helpful and kind as he assisted us both days with the shuttle and loading and unloading the kayaks. It was refreshing to see that some of the employees take interest in the questions we may have had and interacting on a personal level.I would recommend bringing your own firewood if you decide to make the trip down. With all the rain we had received recently, it made for tough scavenging of wood. Unfortunately, the wood we got from the camp store was $6.00 dollars for a small bundle and it was completely drenched too.I would say as far as prices go it is a little steep to camp (primitive) and float. $10.00 per person per night can be a lot of money if you have a larger group with you. Between the 7 of us, we paid over $200.00 to stay for the long weekend in primitive camping and took up a small amount of room. The prices for the kayaks were higher than I had seen as well, especially considering it was only a 4 mile float. We each payed about $55.00 for the 4 mile float Saturday and $63.00 each for going a bit further upstream on Sunday but nothing out of this world.Overall a great weekend. It would be nice if they could separate the primitive and RV camping a little more and open things up. I was down there for Byrdfest a few years ago and we camped all the way down on the east side of the property near the airfield which was super nice. It was all closed off this past weekend. Just seemed to be pretty packed on top of each other and didn't have all the spots open for camping. Highly recommend the Mulberry River. If you are into 4-wheeling and ATV's this is the spot, but it might not be the worst idea to look elsewhere if you want a nice and relaxed weekend without all the machines running around at all hours of the day.

My favorite vacation spot... Kayaking, my favorite thing to do... though not this trip. (File photo)Little cabin is cozy and comfy for a couple; equipped with everything you'd need.Byrd's Adventure Center is THE place to visit if you are into water sports, off-road ing, kick back and relaxing, or as we did this trip, enjoying the Fall colors.Thank you Pam, Zen and Jenny Jo for remaining open and allowing us to celebrate the completion of cancer treatments.

Stopped by for lunch, broke a light bar Mount on the way, service guy helped me get it squared away for the ride home. Very helpful. Property looks well maintained and nice. Be aware they don't have any gas available! We will definitely be back on another trip.

The food and venue was great in the fall. When the river is up, it is a fun float! The owner was very knowledgeable and professional. I was pleasantly surprised by the food. I recommend getting the grilled catfish po boy with mac and cheese or sweet potato fries. Also, get the desert. This is a Hidden Gem.

Very Beautiful place to visit but the lady in the office with short dark hair is very racist and rude.We have been there 3 times in 3 different years and she is always the one with an attitude if your not white. The first time I just ignored it because I figured she may be having a bad day, but she made it very clear the second and third time. I will no longer return there we get treated a lot better at Mulberry Mountain Lodging.Byrds also has some deferd maintenance that needs attention. Especially the little huts on the camp ground.

This has become one of my favorite places to ride and camp. My husband and I spent a lot of time there last summer. From the moment that you check in, you are greeted and treated like family. They are willing to share cool places to ride and explore with you. While sitting at camp at night we were treated to watching a plane practice his landings. The scenery and peacefulness is top notch. And you will quickly see why it s our favorite place to camp and ride!!Also if you are there on the weekend (March to November) check out the restaurant. It s wonderful as well.

Neat place, and beautiful country! They have everything you need other than cell service. Which it was kind of nice to disconnect anyway. The park trails were too "rock crawler" (rough) for us in our Polaris General. But we were able to drive right down the road to the national forest trails. And they were a blast! Would return for camping but I'd recommend downloading national forest maps before heading that way. The creek would be awesome for swimming in the hot months.

We absolutely love this place. The folks are friendly, the views are spectacular and the food in the restaurant is so very good! The sandwiches at general store are crazy huge and they have everything you might need if you forgot to bring something. The cabins are well built and are perfectly placed within the property to allow small or large groups to visit.Pam, Jen and Zen are the best!Don t forget to pet Christina the cat during your visit.

We stayed at the riverside retreat. We ll probably be back because if the location not the accommodations. Little truth in advertising the newly remodeled statement was probably 10 years ago and the fire place was boarded up. The large grill was rusted through and there was a very small cheap grill available. The shower in the main cabin was falling apart and the bath house didn t have hot water or much pressure. If you want privacy when you sleep then this isn t for you. 6 beds in one room. The Good: location and view was awesome. I could sit on that deck all day. The kitchen was nicely furnished and clean. The living room was pretty and there was plenty parking for our trucks and trailers. We rode from the cabin everyday we were there it s in the perfect location to enjoy the National Forest. You can find nicer cabins but not with as good of a location.Like I started out we ll probably my go back.Enjoy

We had a great time. Met some good friends at their camp, really decent place to enjoy the weekend....Bathroom were pretty clean too.We had em do a private shuttle.....we'd already dropped our kayaks off, the wife was setting with em, we just had them give me a ride 4 miles up river......it was 27$...which I felt was pretty high....but it is what it is....we had a great float.....no dragging water was great...

This place is absolutely awesome. I lost my phone the first night of a festival and my mom ended up getting a call saying they had found my phone. I didn't have a lock on the phone but I looked through the daily screen time and it doesn't look like any of the workers were even curious . Grateful Noone got into my banks and other sensitive things. Super beautiful little spot they have themselves in a beautiful Ozark Valley.

What a beautiful location for anything outdoors!!! Pam, Jenny Joe, Chris and the many more staff members at Byrd's Adventure Center truly know how to show someone a good time. Brydfest 23 was great thru out the entire beautiful weekend. All of the facilities are very clean and sanitary. The property is kept up amazingly well! The restaurant is top of the line and their general store has anything you'll need on top of the beautiful property. The help from the employees is out of this world thank you Byrd's adventure center I will be returning 100%.
