Omg yall this is home away from home. The owner is so pleasant! She's a old rocker from way back. She knows things! Like where the good finds are around here. She's had the perfect amount of life experience to tell you where to find agates, quartz points, waterfalls and so much more! This is my home-base #3.

We stayed her for 2 nights. We had site 12 the lighting good and didn't bleed in the window while we were sleeping so that was nice and even though they were right off the main road it was pleasantly quiet the only problem we had with our site was our fresh water hose wasn't long enough but we had a back up hose that worked great! The wifi wasn't that good for me but we assumed coming out this way wouldn't have very good service any way! When we arrived the woman asked us to disconnect our water that night do to the low temp of 32 we have never stayed anywhere that we had to do this so my husband thought he could shut the water off and drain the lines. When we spoke to the woman about the situation the next day she was very passive aggressive about the situation. We understand we should have disconnected the line but i like i said this was our first time going to an RV park and having to do that. if anything had gone wrong or froze we absolutely would have paid to have it fixed. I also understand she is just looking out for her property. Aside from that she was nice woman and very informative about what there was do in the area! There is path behind the office to bring your dog and you can let them off the leash down there! This is a nice quiet place.Follow the rules and you'll see the beauty this place has to offer!

Ok so this park was probably the prettiest park that we have stay at....however the owner could possibly work on her people skills a bit. That is the only reason I did not give 5 stars. Just fyi no laundry here only an outdoor shower. That was fine for us but just so you know. :-)

Gayle, the owner, was helpful and accommodating. We pulled in late, 10 pm without a reservation. She found a spot for us and helped guide our RV in the dark with a bright light.

Great quiet little campground for 3 nights. Owner was friendly and even moved us to this pull through spot with more room due to a cancellation before we arrived.

I thought it was a great place to stay. We stayed 3 nights We had our grandkids ages 11 and 17 and because of no cable or Wi-Fi they actually went outside and played the games that were provided and had a great time. We all fell in love with the camp host Finn the lab. Very close to crater of the diamonds

Just spent 4 nights here while we visited the crater of diamonds.Had a blast and will definitely come again. This place adds to the adventure for sure. Not for someone that demands refined living. We loved the outdoor shower! This was definitely a neat touch. Very personal service. The host helped us get settled and made sure the kids had a great stay. She even went out of her way to compliment them on their behavior every chance she got.Not sure what is up with others who have visited, but if you have even a bit of adventure in your heart, you will be ok here.

Owner was awful. Made us leave after a week and a half when we paid for the entire month. Said she would refund the rest of our money when she made us leave. We did everything she asked of us and were quiet and clean and bothered no one. We went home for the weekend with a full tank of propane and when we came back our tank was empty and she waiting on us so she could kick us out. I guess its her way tomake money my kicking out patrons who have already paid. She was a nightmare to deal with after giving her payment. I would not send my enemy to stay, well maybe my enemy, but not anyone else. If you read the negative reviews you will see how rude and aggressive she is and will accept no fault for her unprofessional behavior. Amazing how she is in business talking to people in such disrespectful manner.

In a Kingdom far far away Known as the the Castle Keepers, There lived a 72 year young Queen with grit that ruled with an iron fist. Her Court Yard Round as the Knights of the round table and travelers were expected to act accordingly. Little communication was available to the surrounding kingdoms, but this was what made the kingdom peaceful. At dawn you could hear the clanging of the guillotines and the Queen shouting "Off with their Heads!"

The site was unlevel, the bathrooms smelled like moth balls. The shower was primative and outdoors, not sure how much privace you had as someone could look under or over the top of the door. Wasn't that far from the office, but wifi network didn't appear until I was outside and then had 1 bar. Got a sliver from the picnic table. Site was 10-20 feet from busy road. Very fussy about where we parked the tow vehicle.

We stayed there almost 2 months waiting on our home to close. Gale ( owner) is really sweet when you get to know her. She's an older lady so she's set in her ways as we all are. Buwould

We were a little leary about this place because of the reviews but our stay was very pleasant. If you know how to respect other people s property and follow very simple rules then you will get a very good nights sleep at this place. It s very close to the diamond crater. My only complaint would be the shower. It s outdoors with little privacy and not recommended for women since the walls are kind of short. That being said I loved it however my wife and two young daughters chose the RV shower. The owner was pleasant and very helpful with info. I do not agree with most of the negative posts below.

I would love to have given better stars, unfortunately, the park owner takes in stray/dumped dogs into the park itself and they are allowed to roam free at random (even onto the highway). Our stuff was peed on by the dogs ALOT and in one instance our tiny chihuahua puppy was excitedly approached by the shepherd mix and while my husband was trying to pick him up and stop his screaming the large dog went between his legs to get at the puppy. All the owner said was, "the dog won't bite it"Personally I LOVE dogs, but when you run a business keep YOUR dogs/strays away from your paying customers area.Besides the owner asked you not to let your pets potty near the RV spot but yet the strays are allowed to pee on our truck/trailer and poop in the parkThe WiFi did not reach us in the spot we had so that is not a very good feature either if you need it.We only had water and electricity no sewer but that was okay for us since she does offer a dump spot.Aside from that the owner is very friendly and the park appeared clean.

I read a lot of the reviews and still decided to give it a chance. The good- the grounds are cared for and the sites are decent. I was surprised it was so cheap ($20 for electric and water) being so close to the diamond mines. The owner was also very nice on the phone. The bad- When I plugged the surge protector in, it said there was an OPEN GROUND. Since it s a small lot I assume it s all on the same electrical circuit since another one said the same thing. It was dark and late at night and all the other campgrounds were booked so we had no choice but to stay. When I called her to ask about the electric issue and started asking questions, that s when her behavior started to change and I could see what other people meant in their reviews. She went on to say that no one has had an issue and that she didn t trust surge protectors. I asked her if she d vouch to the fact that we d be ok and wouldn t have any issues and she chuckled and said no. You camp here at your own risk . For curiosities sake I asked my neighbor if he had a surge protector and he said no. I m guessing the other guests were also unaware.Internet/cell service was poor for Verizon and AT&T but not a dealbreaker.Lastly, I was aware of the outdoor shower before got there but just mentioning it so others know...do not plan on using it unless you re ok with people being able to literally walk right up and watch you shower.Editing to add that the walls of the shower are about shoulder height so that s why people can walk up and see you.Thank you to the owner for taking time to respond. I knew you would because you do always have an answer for everything...

The owner of this campsite was completely rude and told us to get the ef out. We had reserved in advance and it was a scary experience asking her to move us and her response was totally unacceptable. It was a dryer plug power plug in and did not fit our cord. I can t even explain how mind boggling her behavior was. No wonder there were only 2 sites occupied. Call to reserve like I did and listen to your gut feeling, I didnt.

This was a great, centrally located park. Very clean & beautifully wooded. Owner was kind & helpful - a pleasure to meet. We stayed for 3 nights with our young boys & dog. Gayle recommended good restaurants & places to visit. Historic Washington State Park is a MUST & only about a 30 min drive from camp. We will definitely be back & highly recommend staying here. Great free wifi too!

Stayed here about a month ago. Read the reviews and decided I always like a challenge. We didn t have any issues at all. I guess if you feel entitled then you might have issues. Only problem we had was our hose wasn t long enough. So if you stay at the drive thru spot make sure you have a pretty long hose.

It's an average RV park but it's close to the highway so you hear cars zooming by and our camp site #2 smelled like black water. Campsites are pretty close together as well. The campsite host doesn't seem like a very nice person and I can see why so many people have issues with her. While most of the rules are posted on signs throughout the park, there seems to be a lot of rules she just makes up on the spot to harass campers. I've also never seen that many video cameras set up at an RV park.Update: The woman running this thing is insane. After leaving our camp site early because of her Nazi like behavior and the intermittent smell of black water, I posted a review to warn others. Instead of apologizing for treating us like criminals and addressing the sewer problems in her park, she has resorted to flat out lying. I sincerely doubt that she's ever given anyone a refund, I saw more than one person leaving early and angry while we were there.

We stayed two nights in a 21 ' travel trailer. The camp is not fancy but it is clean, reasonable, and has nice touches like great WIFI and a horse shoe pit, Our site was number 12; it is a gravel site, level, and had full hookups. The location is very good, close to all attractions but private. Our neighbors were camping in a large fifth wheel and were very friendly. The owner lives on the resort and delivers personal customer service. She helped us park the RV. We're looking forward to staying at Castle Keepers again soon.

Not as advertised. No bait shop. Strange rules Don t let dogs pee on certain gravel. only shower available is outside on dingy planks. Rusty. WiFi very poor. Maybe that's why its so quiet

Excellent location! Right down the road from the diamond mine (about 5 min drive), even closer to a Dollar General Store and IGA Grocery Store, in case you forgot anything.Castle Keepers RV is a cozy, clean and quite park. We loved the drive through space for our over 30 foot RV! It made it so wonderful not to worry about backing into a space, especially because it was pouring rain when we arrived! All the sites are level gravel. We just put down our stablizers and full hook-ups and we were all set!The owner is great, super friendly! Took reservation weeks in advance and there were no issues. The only strange thing is that you go against the normal when you pull in their driveway, you go all the way to the left (counterclockwise) around a big circle. So, just a word of caution. If you're going diamond digging, I highly recommend you consider staying with your RV at Castle Keepers!

It's not great, nor is it the worst. The internet wasn't really usable, even for checking email. The cell signal was sparse. It was a rustic park, but it does have full hook up sites, and the woman running the place was very friendly and so were her dogs. If you're just coming up to diamond dig for a week, I think this place will do you fine! It was hard to find the park, because of poor signage. When we arrived we weren't sure if it was the RV park or a private property. Also, just to note, it is a one-way going to the left when you enter the park despite the lack of signage. As a side note: We never checked out the on-site facilities, i.e. bathrooms and such, so we have no idea what those looked like.In response to the owner:When we arrived you told us that it was a one way. Both of us heard you. You even had us reverse our 32' RV and go the 'correct' way. There may be signs, but they are small and none of them are lit up at night. And just because you might see one or two campers, doesn't mean that you aren't at a private residence.None of our remarks were meant to insult you, only to inform you of our experience and to help fellow travels.

I read through some of the reviews before I called but decided to give it a chance either way. I was greeted rather rudely but I always like to give people another chance. I asked the owner (who is the one who answered) about availability and before she even got my dates she said "I'm booked for most days during the summer". I mentioned to her that the booking site she uses on her website showed availability. She laughed and with a snarky attitude, she said " I have no idea what you are talking about. I told her that when you go on her website there is a button that says "book now" and she said she didn't know how to take that off and it wasn't accurate. I told her, "Ok, so is there a way to check availability for the dates I need?" She said "well, I AM the owner, the bookkeeper, and the groundskeeper, so yea, I guess so. What dates you want?" I told her the dates and she cut me off during my sentence and said she only had partial hookups available for those dates. I asked her the price and she told me. I asked her how big the average site is and she started laughing hysterically out of nowhere (I'm not too sure but from the experience of several people who have left reviews, I wonder if it is safe to say that the owner is mentally unstable? I'm not trying to be funny, this is a sincere and serious question) and then paused, and said (while laughing) "WHYYYY!???" I asked her why what. She said, "WHY do you want to know THAT!? WHY DOES THAT MATTER? What is the point of knowing the size of the sites?!" all while pretty much yelling/talking loudly. I proceeded to ask her, "You're the owner of this place??" She said, "yea, I am". I said, wow you are very rude. I read all the terrible reviews about your place but wanted to give it and you a chance anyway. That was clearly a mistake. You are beyond rude and don't need to be running a business." I took all I could take before I couldn't take her terrible attitude any further. It may be summer and I may not find another place that has availability but I would rather stay in the woods or the side of a highway than stay at this place. She lost my business before she ever had it. I had to leave a review to warn others. Good luck if you choose to stay here. I for one won't be spending my hard-earned money at this place. The owner also seems to have an excuse or answer for every single negative review on here. I wonder what her excuse will be for mine? Terrible, terrible owner. Obviously, if there are THIS many people complaining about how rude the owner is, it HAS TO BE true. Isn't it odd that dozens and dozens of people all say the same thing and the owner claims it isn't true every time? And these are only the few people who actually left a review, imagine how many other people have had the same experience! Save yourself a headache and spend your money elsewhere! You have been warned.

Small RV park, owner operated. We stayed in site 6. The Pro's are. Park is very clean and is taken care of with pride. Tables, grills were clean and in good condition. We cooked steaks one evening and the grill was cleaned when we came back to the camp site the next day. Electric power was good as well as the water. The park is conveniently located close to Crater of Diamond's and Lake Greeson state park. There are alot of shade trees that helps block the sun. The Con's are We never got Wi-Fi while we were there. Only sites close to owner's office/home had signal. We had no t.v reception and no other campers had reception around us. My Verizon cell phone had no internet signal and poorer call signal. Makes it hard to keep up with weather conditions and news. The road noise was bad at certain times so if your a light sleeper that could be an issue, but the amount of traffic died down around 11 or 12 at night. The speed limit is 45 but people drive alot faster than that. I am surprised the local authorities let that happen due to the tourists come thru the area.I have read reveiws from other's complaining about the lack of posted rules, do' s and don't. Like where you are allowed to take your dogs to do their business. She has specific areas for your pets to use.It would benefit if owner had rules posted for campers to see and read. Maybe a pamphlet with guide lines on it, plus point's of interest in area. The fresh water spickit at the dump station was not working when we left. Not a real big issue just a convenience. Other FYI things to know are gravel camper pads, again not a big deal to me. So in closing, this park is ower operated and not a State Park.

If there was an option for less than one star, I would give it. We vacationed in Murfreesboro, Arkansas and stayed at Castle Keeper RV Park Resort. I would rate it a zero. The owner was very rude and yelled at me to shut up the first night we were there when I tried to let her know my husband was hard of hearing while she was helping him back up the trailer. There were only 4 other RV s in the park that night while all the other parks were full. The water pressure was very slow and it was hard to wash hair. The shower she had was an outdoor shower. We even had other guest come to us and comment on how they heard her screaming at us the first night and that they had several encounters with her already. When I spoke with her after about the third time she screamed at me, I was letting her know that I was in costumer service and this was not the way you treat people. She responded by saying she didn t didn t give a **** about what I did for a living, this was her nest egg. When I walked away she followed me to the point my husband had to intervene and tell her to go away from me because she was actually charging at me. We have travelled all over the country in our rv and have NEVER had anything like this happen. Murfreesboro is such a wonderful and fun place and I feel like she taints and made our experience awful.

Enjoyed our stay there very much. Quiet. Our host was great. Just a short trip to Crater of Diamonds State Park. A bit more primitive than most are used to but that's what made it fun.

I have to say the sites were nice and having bait on site was great. The fishing advise was awesome as well... The customer service was not awesome. Our second morning we were buying bait and we were asked if we had mad a mess in the bathroom... When we felt that the questioning was a basic accusation to making a mess all over the bathroom so we asked around the other sites to see if they had been question about it and they said no... our group being the only ones in tents must have been the ones to "mess up" the mens bathroom. after this we were asked what we did with the fish heads and such and we said that we had tossed them in the woods on the other side of the highway. She was upset and said we were going to bring bears to her park and coons... While i stood there and turned around to notice a garbage area right there at the entrance where the food wast was to be placed she would rather us have put the heads in the park trash onsite rather than remove it from the area... perfect logic as the fish heads will not stink to high heaven for the rest of the guest to enjoy as they come and go and broadcasting to the animals to come to the site rather than stay in the woods. This was not our first rodeo at the fishing thing... we have found its best to let nature handle its waste... She also said we left the site a mess because we had some provisions on the table... the trash was in bags and the food was in our tents along with most of our gear... The next morning the people next to us (site 4) left in a huff and the wife was heard telling the husband "we are out of here that woman is a total ***** and I am not going to put up with that"... the abruptly packed up and left.... We have camped a lot of areas in Arkansas and I have to say for $20 a night this was uncalled for... We will find tent friendly camp sites in the future.... Sorry for your inconvenience of us being there...we will make sure and "blacklist" ourselves
