Edward Short, at Midas -LR- Rodney Parham Rd., is a great asset to his company. He fixed my rotors and pads for my Land Rover, with no appointment needed. I drove in and his techs fixed the SUV. Edward is professional, courteous and he treats people the way he wants to be treated.

Edward and Brian gave me the best service...this guy's have great knowledge and with my Midas coupons I got synthetic oil change 20 dollars off and synthetic transmission oil change for 160 that's about 75 dollars less than dealership ..I was in and out with an appointment in 2 hoursWhy go anywhere else

Very happy with my service today! I was having brake issues (as well as needing an oil change) so I made an appointment. Unfortunately, the repairs needed were more extreme than I hoped, but the guy behind the desk was honest and up front about everything. I chose to just get everything done and asked how long it would take. He estimated 2 hours and it did take just a little over 2 hours. My brakes are now working beautifully! I ll definitely return for repairs in the future.Services: Brakes, Oil change

I ve never had an issue with service at Midas and I ve done business with you guys for years. Whoever the manager is at the Rodney Parham location went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of correctly. I brought my truck there to get it fixed the financed all the parts they didn't not put new parts on the lied a employee brought us to the side and told us they did not put it on there. We came and got the vehicle was not fixed now they are getting our money every month and they didn't fix our car what do I need to do because I will be notifying the attorney general for this situation.

They did not have the part I needed, but went above and beyond to call around other places to try and help me locate the right hose extension for the filler neck on my gas tank. Great customer service by Alex in the front.

Update: So, Midas contacted me and indicated they wanted to learn more. The rep indicated someone else would be contacting me to discuss further, and I never heard from anyone again. Review is updated to reflect the latest. Guessing they were just bad. We paid $2500 for a brake job on a 2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ. We were from out of town, and the brakes seemed to suddenly go out. They guys were all nice, and they showed me the older parts (the Jeep is older, but only has 55,000 miles on it and is mostly towed behind an RV - which they knew. They told me that the brake lines were rusted, and the had trouble putting a new after market one on the Left rear brakes. They did nothing to the front brakes. They did a full brake job, and the Jeep was driven very little afterwards (it was towed behind the RV from Arkansas to Maine). Approximately 1 month after this very expensive brake job, the brakes were totally destroyed and had to be redone again!! The Jeep dealer mechanic theorized they either put the new pads etc on wrong, or they did not get them adjusted precisely. He also noted that they did not catch that the front brakes were on the wrong sides (although he said only a Jeep expert might catch that and it was done prior to Midas getting it.) However, once the new brake job was done, he showed me the right rear brake line (which Midas did not replace) and noted the rusted, compressed areas on the line. The Jeep Dealer mechanic tested this line and showed that not even air could get through it, much less brake fluid. SO, the fact they missed this could have contributed to the total destruction of the brake system - especially on the right rear. However, because we tow it with a Blue Ox system and we cannot PROVE that Midas screwed up, we let it go. I think the Midas crew are just relatively young, and may not be experienced enough - especially with older vehicles to have known some of the nuances the Jeep dealer expert with 37 years working on Jeeps knew. Either way, I will never trust Midas again as I am now down almost $5000 for what should have been relatively simple.Service: Brakes

So today has been a nightmare ! This tire shop was supposed to change my passenger front tire and changed wrong tire , kept my good tire . Got down the interstate and my lug nuts were all loose and still had a bad tire . I could've had a wreak ! Would not suggest this one!

Scammer prices. Went in to replace my rear break pads. The guy at the desk just slid over a receipt for an inspection after I explained I already had one. I went to Midas for a brake job. I was quoted nearly $1100 for front and back brakes and rotors. I went to a different brake shop and was surprised to find out that I didn t need new rotors at all. I ended up paying $300 for front and back brakes pads and labor. I m extremely disappointed to think that they were going have me get unnecessary work done. I will never go back!Service: Brakes

We had new front and rear rotors replaced while on vacation outside of Chicago. Within 8 months the front rotors needed to be replaced again, but the location here did not honor the warranty and we paid for a complete replacement. Within 6 months the problem returned and we were told that the back rotors needed to be replaced which we did. Again no warranty. After having the car for two weeks, the problem had not been resolved so we took the car back in and this time they said it was the front rotors. Compensated us $25 of the $465 for our out of pocket on the back rotors which apparently were fine. Three front and two back rotor replacement within 15 months and 16,000 miles. The staff was professional and friendly. Went in for an A/C re-charge, they advised that compressor was shot; not a terrible surprise. I had expected it might be. The only down side is the prices they quoted for the replacement part was a lot higher than the market. I chose to just pay the diagnostic fee and see if I can get a more reasonable price.

Mostly good experience. Manager and staff seem honest, reasonable. Fairly priced. Only one issue with my experience: I needed an oil change, so I stopped in one afternoon. But they were booked thru closing. They operate first-come-first-served. But manager offered that I could call ahead to put myself on the list. Several days later I did - and they could take me right away! But in the ten minutes it took me to get there, others came in and I still ended up waiting near an hour before they started mine. So, I would say might be difficult to get in & out quickly unless you're there when they open.

We came in because the skid plate came loose from under the front. Mike looked at it and patched us up. We are so grateful because this was that 'one more thing' that was pushing us over the edge. The kindness we were shown has left a very positive impression. Thank you

I loved coming here and have been for years, but If I could leave 0 or negative stars I would. The technician left the oil cap off when he changed my oil on April 14th, causing oil to spill out and resulting in a fire which damaged my electrical wiring and many parts surrounding the oil reservoir. While Midas took responsibility, they made me pay for my own rental cars but misjudged the amount of damage and the time I needed the rental cars. They failed to keep me informed of what was going on with my vehicle unless I called or stopped by, which meant I had to miss work to catch them during the week, and each day I was told my vehicle would be ready the next day. I didn t receive my vehicle until it was repaired by Nissan nearly three weeks later on May 3rd, and it was only when I told Nissan what actually happened with my vehicle that they were able to make the necessary repairs. I still have not been reimbursed for the $1100+ I paid in rental car fees that I should not have had to pay in the first place. This is going on week three since I submitted the receipts. Each time I have tried to follow up I have been given the runaround and told that my check would be ready the next day then given the same excuse for two weeks about the one person cutting checks being out on vacation or not knowing how to read the receipts to understand I need to be reimbursed, not the rental agencies. I was a loyal customer until this happened, but I will not use this company again. I just want my money back so we can all move on. I have tried to be patient and understanding, but this mistake has created unexpected expenses and additional stress for myself that I really could not afford and should not have been asked to take on. Maybe others will have better luck, but I would not wish this experience on anyone.
